FLY FISHING as Good as IT GETS!!!

[Music] [Music] friends buddies pals how you doing welcome back to another video it's real springy today real spring it's warm i even left my jacket in the truck just it's just a nice day not much wind it's pretty good so i thought i'd come out try and catch fish make a video for you and never poke around we are literally like 10 days away from [Music] opening day which i probably won't fish to be honest but uh just the fact that all those other rivers are going to be open real soon it's very exciting summer's just around the corner really it's pretty exciting pretty excited on my way to spot number one let's see what we find hopefully no one's here what a day [Music] so [Music] oh no there's a fish up there yeah yeah yeah yeah there is all right so we'll place this for it how good is that looking guys huh trash stash that is going to be available on friday this week the 1st of october you can now buy those so size 10 hair and copper cat three right here oh fatal crush that barb and that barb is already crushed so hair and copper i don't know about 12 inches flashback pheasant tail again cat three and i'm gonna make this shallow because it's pretty well shallow oh we're gonna pull out there think they're spawning yeah all right i'm gonna bought this i just saw um i just saw one of those fish come up like this over there and they uh in the quieter stuff um so they're obviously actively spawning so i'm gonna not fish to these guys i'm going to leave them alone just walk past them leave them to it [Music] i've just changed over to a big old stones live double tungsten stones line same thing tail off the back of that and i'm gonna fish my way up here should be able to pull something out of here like it like it anyway there yes had to be somewhere right had to be just took a bit of finding that's all so strong these fish i am into this quiet stuff over here that's a nice fish whoa whoa whoa dude come out of there dude oh yeah that's a great had a tree okay almost jesus [Music] [Music] dude how cool was that what an amazing fish i was not expecting a fish like that as my first fish but i'll take it stunning big shoulders super healthy real clean ah that was magic that was magic it's good to be alive took that little flashback pheasant tail good stuff all right let's sort this out and see if we can find another one all right just sort of my stuff out and look look this is what i'm talking about every time this is just no good people what you need to do is get yourself a trash dash like this and use it that is strangely satisfying to wind that in there very rewarding [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] get you in here that's the one nice [Music] [Music] first cars up into the really good looking water a bit further left than i wanted but did the job yeah so we're real hard to get that fish down and out of that water as soon as i could so i didn't mess up the rest of that water so what i'll do is i have a bite to eat rest that and then i'm pretty sure i'll better get another fish out of there what a good day what a good day oh yeah hot sauce yeah this stuff i'm obsessed with at the moment ah so good let's put on everything everything not too bad [Music] [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Music] all right i've given us a good long rest now maybe 25 minutes she's doing some uh so i'm gonna try and get one more fish out of here and i'm gonna try and get that indicator from the other side of the tree which is cool i think it might be a bit a bit deep actually to do but i kind of want to get it anyway we'll see now i look at it i'm not sure that's even possible it's not bad inside but not bad a strong fish feels a bit chunkier nice fish oh what a horrible net job oh yeah boy you're a cool fish stone stonefly doing the business [Music] great fish [Music] right i'm going to leave that alone i'm going to try and get that indicator from the tree on the other side but i don't know if i can do it or not i could probably pull more fish out of there but i'll go for somewhere else i think just fish a different piece of water not sure where yet but we'll go back to the truck and then just uh yeah fish something different all right let's get out of here take sticky and i'm gonna see if i can get uh indicator and leader hanging out that tree on the other side i don't know if i'm gonna be able to it's pretty deep and swift over there but i'll never go oh i don't think so nope nope nope nope nope that ain't happening just gonna have to stay there till summer i think [Music] yes oh dude come on now come on now hey yeah gosh he's strong man oh it's a good fish such a good fish that is such a good fish look at her that is just perfect that is a perfect fish [Music] not sure if i got the release on that because she just powered away from me and that's fair enough i am all right with that uh i actually wasn't expecting to really catch out of that run because i never really do very well been catching a lot on this stone fly from nz fishing flies recently it's a double bead stone fly and uh man i've just it's been getting smashed they like to eat it link's in the description below it was a cool eat real aggressive nice fish whoa angry jack angry jack fair enough too oh awesome let's keep his head up ah sweet [Music] awesome fish really angry nice job sweet and on that note i'm gonna finish that was awesome first fish for me at that piece of water so i'm pretty happy about that what a cool little day nice to get out it was warm just poked around caught a couple of fish that's what it's all about so next week the back country open so at some point i'm gonna get out go uh go sniff around a couple other rivers something new something different something exciting just
