Flosstube #83--What Is On The Wall?

hello it's brenda handwork maniac i'm going to film a video today but i needed to change the stuff on the wall first and then realized i hadn't filmed the stuff on the wall yet so i thought i'd film it before i take it down and then i'll film again when i put the new stuff up and put it on the end of this video this one is marriage of minds by the drawn thread it's my 20th anniversary sampler for my husband and i this one is summertime by rivera's robaros petite house by soda stitch adventure awaits by caterpillar cross stitch under the sea by blackbird designs c to shining c by little house needleworks lazy afternoon by lennart liberty lane by cottage country cottage needleworks i think this is beekeepers cottage by elizabeth designs uh this one is amid amish life it was originally in the cross stitch on country crafts magazine in three different issues you got it in three parts they've republished it and has been a leaflet separately on the disc that you can still find sometimes that has a lot of things from that magazine i did mine in three different sections i think this is called traveling stitcher maybe now i do know what's by little house needleworks it's an envelope this one's on perforated paper i think it's tall tree by hands-on design no heart in hand by heart in hand this one is a victorian house leaflet that i bought at the heinzelman store in provo and i don't have the leaflet anymore and it's been so long now i don't remember who the designer was this is the fun everyday perpetual calendar by sam sarah designs and this one is namesake sampler by my big toe this bee over here that you can see is uh a jim shore mill hill piece it's a book with a whole alphabet in it and that's it so now i will take these all down and put up the other stuff okay i took down all the summer stuff and put up all the well some of the fall stuff i thought i'd tell you a little bit first about what is on the wall that i am pinning to i was just pinning to the drywall with straight pins and it was very frustrating and i would bend the pins and they wouldn't go into the wall and it was crazy so my husband took pity on me and he put up a large board a piece of foam insulation you can barely see the edges of it it's almost as big as that whole wall it's this purple foam type insulation right here it's pretty thick he took a big sheet of it and screwed it to the wall and then i covered it with a big piece of white fabric and just pinned it the fabric on around the edges with t pins [Music] like you know that kind of pin and then it makes it really easy to put the pieces up and down change them out with the seasons because i can just stick those pins into that foam it's really nice the pieces that are not framed i have just folded the edges under the fabric and then pinned it to the foam board works really well it's a nice way to view my pieces even though they are not framed or finished this is how i move the phone before i trip and kill myself this is angel of love by lavender and lace i chose not to do the wings or the halo it has probably the most beads of any project i have ever stitched but it was a lot of fun and it turned out so gorgeous this is uh several little house needleworks patterns put together all in one big sampler i did it as a round robin with some friends years and years ago this is us autumn garden by the drawn thread last stitch cemetery by hinziite medieval town mandala by chatelaine it also has quite a few beets on it and crystals utopi um the artist's last name is cole jay camps i found it on the jardin privet website i can't think of what her first name is standee and holy places by yvette um quaker diamonds by rosewood manor abbasider or opposite air bertay dupont by marie francois sorry it's behind the calendar because it wouldn't fit um this is a class piece by katherine theron this is another class a toy box a twee by betsy morgan this is a box that i made i took the b from an alphabet book and added the rest of the words to it see if we can get this one without the glare this is the day by la de da it was in um blues and i changed it to oranges church on the hill by gosh i don't remember is it brenda keys no i can't remember and autumn at hawk run hollow by carriage house samplings and then oh and this ruler one of the rulers by milady's needle it just fits into this acrylic ruler and in my bowl there is this is one of the salt boxes by plum street samplers harvest time i think by prairie schooler and i think this is harvest house by praiseworthy stitches and that's it i'll get my video made now and it will take a few days to get it edited and then i'll put it up see you later
