Flosstube #40 Javagirlstitches Finishes, wips and fun😊

good morning flosstube i'm kristy and this is my channel java girl stitches and this is flosstube number 40. so welcome back i'm glad to have you guys back here with me again today thank you for stopping by and watching and hanging out with me today so first off i wanted to tell you guys i loved reading all of your comments they were just um amazing um some of you have been going through some really tough things in the last year which a lot of us have but um some of you have lost family members friends just really struggling and i love that you still even after everything you're going through that you're still able to find something to be thankful for and so the comments these are probably the best comments i've ever had just they were so inspiring and uplifting just to um see what everybody is grateful for even um in rough times so thank you everybody who commented and participated in that um absolutely wonderful and totally made my day and one housekeeping thing um there are ads in my video now not sure why when i went to go check my comments i keep having an ad pull up um i do i did not put them on there i do not monetize my videos so i'm not exactly sure why they're there or just floss to put them on there or there's some other step you have to do to get rid of them now that they automatically come on so i know they're annoying i don't like them either um i'm going to try to figure out why that is and how to get rid of them if i can i have seen them on other people's videos too um and some other people have commented that they did not put them on either so um i'm gonna work on that so if they're there i'm i'm sorry i have no idea how they got there and that's about it for housekeeping so let's get into my ffos so the first one i have is the little b and this are lori holt stitch cards and so this little cutie was stitched on 25 count vintage country mocha lugana which is pretty much what i'm doing all of her car or her stitch cards on because i want them a little bigger and i just made it into another pillow and there's a little bit of yellow fabric in there the black gingham little bow with a button so now i have another one to add to my ever growing collection of laurie holt uh pillows going all over this uh shed in here and then i have one more i did a little camper how cute is that so again stitched on the same fabric there's a little bit of blue rick rock back there some gingham fabric a bow and then this little heart it's just a wood heart and i painted it and i was just looking through my paints and i'm like i hope i have something that kind of matches and it actually matches pretty pretty close so i glued that on there and there's my other pillow so two more four in here and i'm still still working i'm trying to squeeze in a couple every two weeks try until i can get all of them um done and then she'll have more and i'll have to keep stitching them so but they're super fun and yes i will do a video on how to do them i just haven't mastered yet how to put them together come that would be the best way for you guys so you're not completely confused and i know somebody did give me a suggestion for an overhead um camera stand where i could tape that way so then i don't have to have my husband or boys in here taping me making me laugh so i am working on that and i will get that done okay next finish this one is cat is the cow one and it's for freedom and it's by annie b's folk art so here is my finish on this one so this bucket that's what it looks like it came it's in the laundry section and i got it from sorry from walmart so i took the lid off and what i did is i just mounted this on sticky board gotta have rickrack and some cute um blue gingham fabric and it's magnetized to the bucket and then on the top i just added some bows and a little flower with a covered button and then inside just some greenery and some of the cute little stars that you can get at hobby lobby and they do still have those this year too so just a simple one but really cute absolutely love stitching this pattern it's really quick and so much fun and it's a cow you guys you guys know i love the farm stuff so that is my next finish okay let's figure out how to do this today okay my next one is freedom and it's by monica stitching studio she is a new designer um and she released this patriotic one and i had to do it it is so cute so here is my finish on this one so this sign came from hobby lobby which i believe i put in the show notes before i'm almost positive but it's in the spring section and it has beads that hang at the top what i did is i took the beads off so i mounted it on sticky board i do have some white rick rack and then i used some red gingham and then the blue um gingham just fills up the whole entire sign and then um of course we have the bose rickrack and a little blue painted star which um i just sand the edges off and you can find them in the wood section you can find the stars and the hearts in the wood section at michael's or hobby lobby and then down here so the beads that were hanging up here i just took them off and what i did is i spray painted them and so it looks like a little american flag and then the two blue ones that i painted i also took my um silhouette and i cut out two little tiny stars and i just slapped them right on there so it looks like the american flag and then the two little gingham stars are glued to the bottom so i love how this turned out it was exactly how i wanted it to i had a little thought and i was like okay i think i can make this work that was my last little idea was to to to do that with the beads so love how this turned out but yes you can still get this in the spring section um and it's so it'll be like 40 or 50 off right now at hobby lobby and i can leave that in the um let me put that in the hobby lobby i'll put that in the show notes what the um item number is for uncle sorry guys i want to make sure i get you guys everything that you need okay my last ffo was um patriotic chicken by the little boot from hillary um and she is on instagram and she has an etsy shop and i love this chicken so much you guys so here is my finish on this that needs to stay up there a little bit more so this house it it came with a white back on it it was um from walmart i don't they probably don't have them anymore because it was for valentine's day unless it's like in the clearance section but what i did is i knocked out the back piece which is just a white piece of wood i knocked it out and then i had my husband he came home and i had this laying on the table with chicken wire and he's like chicken wire again and i'm like please honey so he just stapled the chicken wire to the back of the red house and then what i did is i mounted the little chicken on um sticky board again rick rack and then two different kinds of fabric and again i will show you the back it's don't judge you have to use the um what are those they're like strips command strips with velcro and because it will not the magnets will not hold on your um chicken wire so i did that again and then the bow i have some raffia which i actually just tied the raffia to a piece of the wire so it's it held so i didn't have to worry about having to try to get a i didn't really know how else to get it on there and then i added a bow and again some twine which you can get at michael's and another little star red star that i painted and i'm happy with it i love chickens so cute okay so that is all my ffos for this week okay i did do one other one i just squeezed in a little finish and it's not an ffo just to finish and this is a little liberty by lizzie kate and i've had this one for a while and i'm kind of getting where i have all these things put aside to do and i'm like no i don't feel like doing that one so i'm i just came in my stash and i'm like i pulled this out and i'm like that's a pretty quick one i think i could do and it absolutely love it so here is the finish on that and i want to say i did change the colors in this one a couple of them so i will make sure to um put those in the show notes and it's stitched on 25 count vintage country mocha lugana but just a really super cute one i'm not sure if you can get it at um you might be able to get it at one two three stitch i know they have all the lizzie kate patterns there so definitely try there if you're interested in that one okay that is all my ffos this week and finishes so i did find again there is not a lot of stuff you guys um for patriotic finishes i've been to michael's like four times i just keep waiting and waiting they did get more stuff out but they still don't have ribbon yet hobby lobby there's just not a whole lot this year walmart absolutely nothing i even went and looked through my pictures last year and they had already had um patriotic stuff out and they don't yet so i am stocking the stores but i'm not finding a whole lot yet but i did find um just just a couple things so this this huge like it spins around it's like an easel board um sign thing and i thought that would be perfect for um for a finish on i don't have anything to go on it but i bought it anyway and if i don't use it for patriotic i can use it in here and this is also in the spring section so it'll be i think it's 50 off now so it'll be 50 off um at hobby lobby and i will leave the item number in the show notes but i thought that was pretty cool like it and then you could magnetize oops you can magnetize something to it and reuse it over and over again again patriotic christmas whatever you like and that was from hobby lobby michaels again not much you guys i found this cute little sign and the beads super cute so i thought you could probably put a finish in here and you could probably leave the beads and just add a bow on top or you don't even have to add a bow just put a cute little finish in there so i found that that's michael's and then this is just decor because he's so stinking cute it's an uncle sam look at him i love how he just shakes like that so he um i know they had bigger ones last year but i i didn't see this one last year so this must one but this one must be new so i thought he was really super cute and he's at michael's too and i'll leave the item numbers in the show notes for you guys on all of those but again not a whole lot this year so i'm having to try to think of other ways to be creative with these finishes okay let's go into my whips okay so i pulled this back out again and this is house rule my little house needleworks and i want to get this done to go up here on this wall when i redo all this in here hopefully sometime soon so i got all the bottom done and i believe i got two more houses done so i only have a couple more houses i think two more houses two or three more houses and then this one will be done and then the tree over here and this is stitched on 28 count vintage country mocha no it's not i'm sorry mushroom 28 count mushroom lugana so that's what that one looks like so i just wanted to pick it up and put a couple more stitches into it so i'm not too far off i can get that done pretty soon okay my next whip is the serendipity stitch along with that quarter shot i am all caught up i can remember which is the top and the bot i think this is the top so i have uh one two three for all four weeks done and then we have three more weeks of it and then i'll be done with this one super cute and if you go to fat quarter shop and you watch her then um they've raised a lot of money for a make-a-wish foundation and that's what this is for so definitely go check them out okay my last whip and then i have new starts again so this is shine on which i showed a picture the other day on instagram but that's how far i've gotten i'm all caught up on this too and i absolutely love it it's just so cute the colors are just so happy and cheery and i absolutely love stitching on it every single time so much fun okay new starts i think these are i think these are all new starts yeah okay so yesterday um i started this did not get much time to get stitching done we've been running around doing stuff and um trying to get ready for the video so i only have a little small start on it but it is the bitty barns i'm doing this summer one and i'm leaving off the word summer because i just want it to be a little barn for in here and this is by annie b's folk art and this is it's a bitty barn that's why they're called bitty barns because they are tiny when you see these patterns i'm like okay it's gonna be like a pretty good sized barn and it's a little baby one but it's cute and i tried to find this is um the monaco that's super stiff as you can see the i i didn't iron it or anything i just took it off the hoop super stiff so it makes it tinier i was trying to get something that will look good with 25 count so it'd be a little bit bigger but this is the best i could find and i like it it'll just be a little tiny barn so i won't put the word summer in there so i just need to do all of this in here when i work on monaco it does take me a little bit longer to stitch because this fabric is so stiff and in these two little spaces there's a lot of there's a lot of fill it's all filled in and it's a bunch of different colors so it does tend to take me a little bit longer on that i can stitch way faster on lugana but sometimes the monaco just looks better that's the perfect color so i really need them to make either softer monaco or a color that looks like exactly like the tea dyed monaco um in lugana that would be awesome just putting it out there into the world the cross-stitch world you know if any designers want to make that they'll be awesome okay more new starts so this one i am stitching with cindy and she is carolina cajun creates on instagram and we started michael's prayer and i believe she was she had some issues at the top with the greens and the color and i did too like the gold color is not um it's not it's like brown so i did have to change up some colors um but i did get a tiny tiny start on it and i start at the bottom so i got that's as far as i've gotten and i did change i know the red is i believe cherry cobbler and um i will put the color changes in the notes and this is stitched on 27 count linda cloth which is back in stock at fat quarter shop and yes i absolutely love it it is my absolute favorite so that's my little start on that and if anybody wants to join us um we would be glad to have you um on instagram and i'll put the hashtag and everything what we're using and that's dot dot you most of these bags will be um probably dot dot goose excess and then christy from crash hatch quilts love her bags too okay next new start oh i love this one i love this one you guys and this is um freedom and i know i always i don't know how to say her name it's like croquette a go-go it's this pattern which i'm doing the main one in here and i'm gonna do the whole thing so there is my start that chicken seriously i absolutely love him and i only got like i was showing my friend melanie that what i had done and she's like freed she goes what and i'm like it's supposed to be freedom i just was so excited i got to here and i wanted to get the chicken done and then the cute little basket so i absolutely love this and i am using all the dmc colors and this is also stitched on the 27 linda love love love and she has some cute patterns you guys and i put um her shop in my last video so if you are looking for her she's on instagram it's under crow croquette a go-go i believe um that's the name of her uh etsy shop super cute absolutely love stitching that one and then if i didn't have enough going on which with the patriotic i did start because i my plan was to to do one prairie schooler a month um the prairie schooler and i kind of slacked on that well i'm not doing too bad so these are the ones i have done already there's one two three and these are all stitched on the really soft monaco and this is like my last piece of soft monaco that i have so this is my newest one i just started and this one is from the prairie schooler santas and snowman so which one am i doing i am doing him right here with the reindeer so that's my little start on him so i want to get him finished up like immediately and get started on another one because that was one of uh anna and i are we were doing this year was we wanted to have a prairie schooler tree which i don't know that that's gonna happen i don't think i'll have enough stitched up by the end of the year but that's okay i'm just gonna keep going with it okay that's all that's on my whips yay not too bad this time okay new starts already did that okay let's get in to um [Music] some new stuff at that quarter shop so this was last month's prim and then the new one um should be coming here pretty soon and i am saving i do get an extra one of these every month so i am saving the whole collection so when it is all finished i will give one set of all 12 of them away for a giveaway um on a winter's day a cute quilt pattern by so emma um this was fresh cut this was the um the stitch quarterly really really cute i think it's pretty it's a it's a good spring stitch so that's out new um and this one they just released and it's called peppermint lane and that's super cute they are having a stitch along with that also and then they have a new stitch along that just started um and it's called sail away so you can get a cute bag it has ada that matches it that comes with it it has a floss pack it has floss bitties and a super cute needle minder so i am not stitching this um because i have way too much of my plate so all this right here is gonna be for a giveaway today okay let's get into um let's do stitchy kindness because i did get some really amazing stitchy kindness this week um so the first thing i got was um a sweet note from dottie and she's always she always leaves me the nicest comments and is so kind to me and she sent me an extra pattern that she had had she saw it and she thought of me so thank you so much i love all things farm okay um i want to put that right there and then let me pull these out from another street viewer her name is patty she sent me a sweet note and she gave me two sets of stitchy stars i'll take that off sorry two sets of stitchy stars and cute little scissors to go with them and these also are going to be giveaways for today so thank you patty that was really super nice and then she got me a little pair of scissors she also got me the rabbit valley studio home which is really really cute and then shannon christine hello summer very cute i love this one pumpkin spice and then i this one too for fourth of july july 4th super cute so thank you so much patty and your sweet card just thank you thank you thank you okay i'm gonna put that over there okay and then there's a lot here i got um a an email and um they are a company that makes wood paddles makes all the wood stuff they they're they're called stitch etc they used to be with leila may and then they have split so leila may has her own um facebook which i think is violets and some violets and i don't remember the rest and then um [Music] kim and ashley are the ones that make all the wood boards and so they um sent me a bunch of them to try out and you guys for one thank you so much for your generosity you this is so much i am so grateful but look at these boards they come in all different sizes different colors their little paddle boards look at that one for a little ornament how cute is that this one i think is um would be really good for it would probably fit stitchy stars on it super cute um a cannon jar how cute is that and then um so they have so many different sizes of boards you guys i mean just anything that you need how cute is this for christmas or patriotic size little skinny one so cute and i love these little fat chunky ones i think they're adorable and then this i love this a tool box you guys that you can stick a finish in here and then stick stuff in here in this black one i'm thinking either for my uh like these for my summer display or i'm thinking maybe halloween so thank you so much kim and ashley i appreciate it so much and so how you're excited thank you guys so much i appreciate both of you for sharing those with me okay stitchy haul i don't it's shocking i know i do not really have any very much this week i have three things i did not buy very much i'm trying to my husband kind of told me he was like honey your hobby lobby trips because the hobby lobby is close to my house now so i may go there once a week poor guy and he's like do you want your she shed done or do you want to keep buying stuff at hobby lobby so i have toned it down so we can finish the shoe shed you know so i only i did get this and this is from primr um prim primrose cottage stitches it's a christmas one and i absolutely love it and what i will do is i will probably change the colors to match um the cherry cobbler and the greens and stuff that match um the brenda gervais ones i did um last year but super cute i don't know what she's doing over here mitzi's in here i have to keep her in here or she'll scratch and she is just playing with something and then this is this cute little caddy thing that i got from pacquiao shop and i hold all of my like little sewing stuff in there and it sits by my sewing thing you know because i sew a lot i make the pillows that's about it but it just keeps all my little stuff in and it's red and it's polka dots i mean seriously how cute is that so i got that and then my last thing i only have one more thing is primrose cottage um stitches again they came out with yesterday i think it was or the day before this is their new pattern all american and it's a pdf you can just um print it right off the computer and it's um i think it's it's mostly dmc i think it's all dmc except for the red which i did pick a different red so um i showed anna i was like look look look look and she's like we need to do that and i'm like yeah we do so um this is going to be our mother's day start so i'm super excited about that too okay that is everything okay before mixie what are you doing sweetie are you confused and lost you want you can come up here and say hi in a second okay i'll bring her up here in a second have her say hi if i can get her back here okay so what has been going on over here really quick before i do giveaways um let's see dave's still working on the she shed he's almost done he's almost done it's been a lot of work and it's been windy here every single day i don't i've never seen this much wind before so and it's like 99 degrees outside we're dying here i'm like oh i'm so not ready for the heat yet so he's been working on that john takes his driver's test today like at 1 30. so he's he's super nervous i'm like you totally got it you're gonna be fine so send him good thoughts you guys um i know he can do it and then chase's is on the 20th um hopefully he'll get his license too hopefully he graduates still he's doing better he finally realized okay i need to keep up on all this homework so he is caught up it's just that the teachers are not really um they're not updating the grades right now i'm not sure what's going on they're not grading stuff so he's we're kind of in limbo and we're just waiting but i think he'll graduate thank you guys for all the prayers um the only bad thing is dave's work truck got stolen in our front yard in the middle of the night which was crazy um uh john and i were up to like 11 30 at night dave gets up at one o'clock to go to work because he works nights and he went out there and it was gone and i'm kind of surprised i didn't hear it because i was on the couch and i did not even hear the um i didn't hear it and it's a diesel so i thought it would have hurt it but so that got stolen um which had it had all of his work tools um all the keys to everything so i know he filed a police report and i think they'll probably end up finding the truck because it has the logo the work logo on it but it'll probably be stripped down but um thankfully he was able they gave him another truck and everything but yeah that was kind of scary i don't like that idea of people on my property taking our stuff you know it just kind of creepy creeped us out a little bit so um we're going gonna get some flood lights for the front yard so hopefully that'll keep everybody away otherwise we are healthy and we're happy and everything is good here we're doing really good okay let's get into giveaway winners my first thing let's i want to hear it i want to just be i want to read all your comments and i want to just be laughing my head off for me every poor alyssa every time we have a conversation like 90 of the time we are laughing hysterically i can't even give you specifics but every time we get on we're just i love her because she's just as crazy as i am i'm actually i'm probably more crazy but she tolerates my craziness but we just have this great relationship and we just laugh hysterically all the time and then anna and i i keep dragging her into everything like the mother's day thing i'm like hey let's do this and then now we want to do strawberries i want to stitch strawberries because i've seen all the strawberry stuff out there so i'm like alyssa just start sending me pictures i want to see what you've done because she's doing strawberries so i have poor anna like searching all over and i'm like i'm not going down this rabbit hole alone you're going down with me and i'm dragging you and she's like we're like thelma louise i'm like yeah so i just you know when you're my friend then i just drag you into um all my crazy and i bring you with me i'm not dragging you down i'm taking you on a good ride we're having a fun ride so um what you're going to do for the giveaways is you're going to answer the question what is something that's made you laugh hysterically and then number one is going to be the stitchy stars with um a pair of scissors so all you can do is put number one and the second one will also be stitchy stars with a pair of scissors and then number three you're going to win all of the sail away stuff the only thing that it does not have is the pattern which all you have to do it's a mystery one so by the time that um i come back and you get this it will probably be all stitched up so all you have to do is go and download the um buy the pattern and it'll be a pdf and then you have you have everything else you need here for it and it's from fat quarter shops all mother's day if you have kids or if you have fur babies you're still a mom if you have a husband you're still a mom because it's a lot taking care of them too so um i'm kidding i love my husband actually i have the best husband ever but i always tell my dad i'm like yeah he jokes around with me um i'm like because i have there's it's all boys in this house i have all four of them and he's like yeah you have to take care of four boys and i'm like yeah i do um so he thinks that's kind of funny so um i hope you guys have a great mother's day um a great couple weeks um and i will see you guys next time
