hi flosstube hello flosstube 9 pm i'm 70. this is just keep stitching episode 2 0 4 2 plus 2 plus 100 plus 50 plus 25 plus 20 plus 2 plus 3 is to a forecast welcome back everybody hello friends hope you've had a good week yep uh special hello to anybody that's just uh found us on flosstube uh welcome to the crazy as our friend leslie would say yes um and uh we're glad to have you with us for an hour or so we sure um we've got lots to show you and we hope that um you have settled in for um a little visit yeah with your stitching with some refreshments with your pets pets that's exactly what i was thinking god it's kind of scary isn't it um but anyway here we are happy sunday everyone uh happy sunday okay so we have a little bit of old business yes a correction if you will clarification yes uh so if you watched last week's episode episode 203 um you know that i spoke about some fabric that i purchased from a place called rogue stitching and i received a phone call from a very lovely person at rogue stitching yeah it was mike mike um and hello mike if you're watching right so i don't know if he said that he watched it or somebody sent him the link or something or something to the video anyway so we had a nice chat he was lovely and i just want to clear up some miscommunication and this is like what i love is i would rather have the correct information and it relay it to you all then continue a wrong fact sure right absolutely so um last week i had said that rogue stitching was the retail arm of picture this plus that is in fact not true rogue stitching is its own entity they are um from my understanding they are their own shop um and the they are like maybe 20 minutes away from pictures plus right so picture this plus is a fabric dying company that's located in kansas we all know picture this place well maybe they don't pam well that's true if they're new to cross stitch they might not know about it that's true so pictures plus is a fabric dying company in kansas usa um and for a really long time when i started stitching it was like this i don't know how long it was before this but i assume for a while at the point when you had started stitching yes they um you could purchase they had a storefront they had whatever whatever right and they and they sold wholesale to shops correct yes so they had both wholesale and retail correct the two arms of their business correct uh and at some point the storefront closed at pictures plus i'm not sure when that was um but i know that it is no longer that you can't walk in to picture this plus as a as a retail customer any longer um and they had a um they did have a retail side of things um and it was called a hanging thread for a short very short period of time yes right um and at some point rogue stitching became a company and took over the retail side or purchased the retail side of pictures plus because pictures plus didn't want to do retail side anymore they wanted to focus on the wholesale and um but they were still like working for pictures plus um and that is no longer so long story short is that picturesque is its own thing rogue stitching is its own thing right and rogue stitching apparently sells several lines of fabric yeah like somebody heard of some we had not correct so that was a good good benefit of the call yeah was i found out some information about stuff that they sell that right i'd never heard of so that was really great right um and so i just wanted to clear that up in regards to rogue stitching and that i misspoke last week um and i got it straight from the horse's mouth so um that is the information on that so there are two separate entities right right no affiliation whatsoever anything correct at all there never was really right okay well good there was but like not for long not so long all right so regular business regular it is time for stitch harmony right which is um our created hashtag and it is hashtag stitch harmony um and so what's determining is is it is our attempt at connecting stitchers together um if you are somewhere where you don't have a stitching friend that lives that you know of that lives local we want to find someone that does live local that you didn't know about and that connect the two of you together so each week we go through the comments on our previous week's video uh and we find someone who wants to be featured as the stitch harmony featured commenter of the week and then we pick one and we share them with you all in hopes we can find a friend for them right so this week's stitch harmony featured commenter is who pam this week's stitch harmony commenter is deborah horvath hi deborah hello deborah and she commented hashtag stitch harmony i'd love to find a stitching buddy okay you're in the right place deborah yes ma'am i live in sigmund pennsylvania s-i-d-m-a-n okay i just got back into stitching back in january of this year right so it would be so nice yeah so it would be so nice to find someone close to me that is into stitching also okay well isn't that lovely yeah so let me just uh google map segment pennsylvania right cinnamon pa okay was it was a fox something oh foxten's pizza and i was like oh um okay you are in the middle of nowhere um okay so it's basically just a little west of central pa so it looks like i mean so that that's pittsburgh that segment oh so she's really in western pa yeah yeah yeah oh yeah yeah yeah so that a minute show me that again no she's east of pittsburgh yeah she's east of pittsburgh yeah but she's in the western half of the state correct correct yes so there's that is there another big city that that's close to well you moved your head out of this frame there we go okay is it the next big city that that's closest to as i zoom in altoona yeah yeah um it's a little southwest of altoona right um it is just just east of john's town yeah yeah that's good johnstown altoona hollidaysburg which sounds like a lovely place um somerset edensburg those kind of places yeah so uh so and you read her comment right i did okay so how stitch harmony that's how we figured out it was cinnamon that's how that works so sorry um so if your ears perked up because you live in around nearby within driving distance of sid men pa am i saying that right yes sid sidney uh because you have been around here by winning the draft of 7pa and you have room in your stitching group for sweet sweet debra then please comment below and say hi my name is insert name here i live in around nearby within driving distance of sedmon pa and i would love to stitch with you and then it is up to you miss deborah to read through the comments and um see if anybody has reached out and then you can comment back and then you got to start a conversation it's just all lovely and then you can meet and be best friends forever that's right okay right so if you are someone who is looking for a teaching friend we encourage you to comment on our video and you'd use the hashtags to charmany um and just i'm sure that most of you the woman last week got a lot of responses oh well congratulations to her i know i don't remember her name but i did see a lot of people say i'm near you oh that's great um so for anyone who doesn't know what a hashtag is it's basically just like a trending term so it's you you don't like do a hashtag so what do you mean well you can make one up but what we did was stitch harmony right and but i've had people that have said to me i don't know how to do a hashtag you just put a pound sign in front of a word or two words or two words three words or other words or however many words the way i explain it was absolutely uh no i wasn't absolutely i was talking to my friend marianne who's i worked with as a court librarian um it's like a subject heading remember subject headings in a card catalog um where you might mean i don't remember that you know you might have history american or you might have robotics or you might have um samplers or samplers anything primitive it's like a topic or that's a good way of explaining it but you don't actively like there's nothing like to do other than put a pound sign in front of the word or phrase let's do a hashtag in our videos but we're just talking about the talking right we're not doing anything that requires any amount of energy correct so and then what youtube does um is that if you were to comment and you put the pounds on in front of the words stitch harmony right it sees that as a subject and highlights it and automatically will change your text to blue right and so which makes it clickable and you all the things but anyway more importantly it makes it stick out to us so there you go just wanted to clarify okay and in case there was anybody that was like i don't know how to do that so i can't do it anyone can do it i promise anyone you just have to comment if you can type you can do it yes ma'am uh so debra you have your homework yes ma'am and all of oh after watching this wonderful episode you can um look i'm sure about that look at the comments and um sign some friends see if anybody uh is nearby yeah so that you can get together and stitch together that would be the goal that is the goal yes ma'am all right okay so that means that it is time for [Music] that means it's time for pam's pinned comment yep and uh what is pam's pin comment exactly pam pam's pin comment especially this week is one that tickled my fancy yes and the reason i said that is we know this person yes we do and we love this person we can hear her saying this saying this and telling this little tale yeah and um so without further ado okay uh cruises from pam this is from our dear dear friend susan morelli hello hello sue we love you yes we do and can't wait to see or she are you going to yes she is because she mentioned it in the comments oh okay sorry sorry read the dang comment man susan says lol i almost split a gut here is what happened our kitchen and tv room is one open space sounds lovely honey is making ice cubes and that's another story oh boy i am watching your video steph suddenly toots her kazoo and hubby yells out oh my god you see every time i wall of paper towel is emptied i take it down put my mouth at one end and sing too lol it is a tradition type thing that happens when the paper towel roll is changed in my family i love that i love that i love that pam i love love love 13 colonies and would love to see it in person please bring it to our november retreat yes and that's the um stitching at the at the end yeah which is in november in new hampshire which um which is where we'll see soon and um we will see soon she was a lovely lovely gal and um we're so missing all of our new england friends yes we're looking forward to that so thanks sue yes um your comment was pinned to the top of all the wonderful comments we got after last week's video um many uk people chimed in about yes the robin is their their christmas bird in the uk um what else did they respond to i can't think but there were some wonderful wonderful comments yeah um and we we love uh hearing from each and every one of you but we surely do sue's comment about the paper towel roll cracked me up love it all right uh let's talk about stitching shall we we shall see i was just waiting for you what i was like it's coming oh i know okay yeah what have you been stitching this week stephanie well pam let's just see about what i've been shooting let's just check um okay it was the last week of may it's now june in case anyone doesn't have a calendar um and so this is the last week to talk about my may restarts um and so my um if this is the first episode of just keepstation you've watched um for this month of may for stitch mania um i had decided that every saturday i was going to restart a project that i'd started that had been in timeout because i didn't like the fabric and so uh a week ago last saturday uh was the last saturday of may and therefore it was the time for it was time for the fifth and final project of stitch mania 2021 to get restarted right and i showed you a little bit um of it last week and that was just like what a day's worth and so i worked on it this week too and so the project i'm talking about is winter rose manor by with that needle and thread i had originally started it on um 36 count dirty dirty linen which is the color um by zweigart um and i liked it the linen was great um but i didn't like how do i explain this the thing that i didn't like about it was a i felt like the thread blended into fabric and b the coverage of one strand on 36 count wasn't what i the look i wanted for this project um i knew i wanted it to be fuller coverage and i didn't want to jump to two strands so therefore that meant i had to jump to 40 count so i did that um and so i changed my fabric to 40 count brenda's brew by r reproductions which was made as my understanding was made especially for this project so that's wonderful um and uh before i show you what i've done i want to talk about the threads that i'm using um so the threads that i'm using uh is a color conversion that was created by my sweet friend and you probably know her if you watch flosstube misty purcell of luminous fiber arts um so first and foremost i'd like to publicly apologize to misty for all of the people who i'm sure have reached out to her this past week and asked about her color conversion and i probably should have warned you and i'm very sorry about that please forgive me um also um with that said this is not my color conversion i did not do the work that it takes to do a color conversion misty was kind enough to give me her color conversion i'm not going to give you the color conversion because i didn't do the work to do it it's not my work it's not my property it's not my intellectual property it's none of that um so misty is wonderful she owns a business she's communicative she will point you in the right direction um i looked on her website and couldn't find it i worked i looked on her instagram i couldn't find it so that's why i ended up sending her a message on instagram and so it was as simple as that and she was great i mean her and i have met were friends like we have a standing relationship but like she talks to her customers all the time so yeah um she's not incredible she's not difficult to get in touch with and so i hope that people understand that like me or pam or whatever um when you comment on our videos or send me a message asking for the color conversion why we're not going why we're not comfortable giving that out as information and so it's only right that i give misty the rights to that conversion as it is hers and so that's that's about it um so i will of course link um misty's um flosstube uh and all that information here so you can reach out to her uh her business is luminous fiber arts so um okay so my progress for this week now i did get a little distracted by another project i'll show you in a second this week but um i feel like i did get a little bit done on this this week so this is how much i have oh my gosh it looks so good so um the green yeah can you there we go okay so the green is called for and then everything else uh are part of misty's colors so i love it i think it's great um it's really fun to stitch so i started in the upper left corner up here and then this is as far over as these flowers go it does go all the way down the side but um as you can tell there's like diamonds down here over here so that's what goes this way so um that is winter rose manor by with the needle and threat and so when i said i got distracted um so i usually have like a travel project going or like a small that i can take places um because i always bring costage because you just never know okay you never know when you're going to be able to get some stitches in um and so i usually always have my crotchets with me um for that very reason and what i've been working on for the last month were my smalls for the stitch cut smalls exchange uh but i finished those so um i had one going for a while but i was like oh we're gonna work on that so i looked through my whips and i landed on another project to take with me as my travel project and i meant to bring this out for memorial day and then i just didn't for whatever reason um and that project is suffrage act by little house new workshop floppy suffrage act by little house networks and i had started this on inauguration day 2021 and um i got the word vote in and the two blue stars and the flag and like the you know flagpole and um so i to me a travel a good travel project is something that fits in an eight by eight q snap a bag you snap uh and sure i am stitching mine on 40 count newcastle linen in the color pear wood by coloring cod which i was the july 2020 fabric of the month which i think is in her line her regular line though so um i worked my way down from the flag to the urn and i got the urn done it just looks crooked because it's in the q snap but i promise it's straight i got the urn and the um the leaves and the flat and the berries got those all done and then there's like a line here this like gray and black flower like looking thing over down here so that's what i was working on next but this is really fun to work on it's really easy to work on i very much enjoy it um and it is a really good travel project and i honestly think that if somebody held a gun to my head and made me pick a brand of fabric even a count and brand of fabric to stitch on and that was the only fabric i could ever stitch on for the rest of my life it would be 40 count color and cotton yeah i literally love her fabric so much right like i can't even describe how much i love it so it's just an actual dream to stitch on and this color is something like the thing i mean look how pretty that is this is pretty um so that is what i worked on this week what did you stitch on pam well i don't know i shouted um i'm so sorry this is what the sixth of june uh it is in fact the sixth yes ma'am so um tuesday was the 1st of june it was which meant i was to start my whip go pieces and i had two projects called from my whip go board and i decided that i would uh since i had allowed 10 days of stitching on one of them that i would get my days in on it and um as it turns out because of stitch con um in my um lack of stitching that will occur yeah in stitch con um those 10 days will be kind of broken up through the month they won't be a straight 10 days okay um and you'd like a chunk here and a trunk at the end yeah okay um but for starting on tuesday i pulled out this whip and this is for all intents and purposes full coverage i mean for all intents and purposes i'm looking at this now and i don't know where there are no stitches maybe up here and yeah so this is a bucilla i think i'm saying that right yeah usilla heirloom collection from the saturday evening post and i would put this in the same classification as a dimensions gold okay uh large not a dimension school petite but a larger dimensions gold kit and i just fell in love with this picture she did um it's the kit is from 2014 and it is called rural post office at christmas okay um my dad retired from the post office he was not a um what do i want to say he didn't he didn't have a letter he wasn't a mail carrier he wasn't a carrier right he wasn't a mail carrier he worked inside in the mail room he was a store so i love anything to do with a post office yeah for sure and i just fell in love with this scene it's original artwork by um i want to get it right where is it um it's in about three different languages okay the last name of the artist is dohanos d-o-h-a-n-o-s and this post office is um is actually in georgetown connecticut or at least it was at one point right and this paint of this artwork was on the cover of the saturday evening post cool um you've seen a lot of um artwork from norman rockwell that was on the cover of the saturday evening post which was a magazine um yes no longer published i don't believe um and so fell in love with this picture i am not using the kit fabric i believe it was ada and i um took it out uh no you are actually using the kit fabric which is 28 count mushroom evenweave well just forget everything i just said um this is going to be a very long-term product this is a monaco is it the kid fabric yes okay yes it's the kit fabric but it's monaco what does that say mushroom evenweave mushroom is the color even weasel is a type of fabric but i can tell just by touching it that it's monica oh okay because it's thick okay so like i said it's going to be a long-term project and i am okay with that um are you i think of this yes i am good i think of this as um whoever put these kits together for either dimensions of busella or jan lan or any of them that they must have pixelated the um actual painting the actual painting and then um assigned colors yeah to to make it look like the artwork okay yeah i think that's probably what happens with haynes right yeah even though heaven hates kind of intimidates me but after doing this i don't know i don't know don't dare so anyway i pulled this out on tuesday what'd you say i don't have the patience to watch you stitching oh oh oh so um i pulled this out yeah it's fun to run your fingers over it yes so i took off one side of my q snap so you can see the full thing yeah so look at that so here's my truck here's my truck and i've basically been um working kind of in sort of panels or columns if you will this is kind of like the back window of the cab of the truck um and i'm working there and you're not highlighting your chart at all no i do make a copy well yeah because the chart is on one side of this huge piece of paper and the um color key is on the other side so i'd be forever folding it and i'm trying oh yeah yeah yeah and uh so forth and so on that's by this blob well that has to do with the map the man it's the spotter here the mailman's coat going in and i um that's where you started it i could frog it out but it might be in the right if i'm lucky it's in the right place so what would be that i don't know because i think i would you just pick a point and start stitching well yes actually i did yeah because i started in the middle clearly i started in the middle so well i would i'm just confused as to why you think that'd be in one place i i'm just saying i know i always i always hope for the hope of the best plan for the worst anyway so so there you know the dog is in the seat he's getting ready to drive away and um it's a rusty old blue truck yes clearly whoops clearly and it's in the wintertime so the white that you see is obviously snow the pole going up from the cab of the truck is actually a column of the post office from the a pillar to the front of yeah there you go the pillar of the front of the the entrance to the post of the awning on the entrance yeah oh the post office the little yeah so um it's it's slow going i'm trying to vlog what you said the other day yeah it's a slog but um once i once i kind of get in my groove i'm okay yeah and like i said um this is um gonna be a while and i assign on my whip go board i assign 10 days yes okay and i'll be able to get in um probably eight before i take a break from it because of stitch con you're bringing something similar simpler yeah yeah i'm probably going to be bringing um sue hillis's uh a year at keepsakes that she did for you don't try and stitch a big old keepsake's house at stitch con it may just sit there on display i don't know i don't know you're so funny so anyway i think you should also i think something who's gonna be there and people have haven't seen that in a while it'll be a conversation will it start yeah because you want anything else to talk about well stop giving me a hard time it's my job anyway so that's all i stitched on this week yes okay so those so those are our whips of the week oh volume up volume up and everything okay prepared for this party people okay okay anyway um if you follow me on instagram or you have been stitching along with me it's been a big big week for me um on the i'll be home series from twin peak primitives yes uh you know that um i have something pretty huge to show you yes um twin peaks have been uh such a generous generous um company and has developed into a friendship with steph and i for um probably three years for sure um and they designed [Music] pam's main specifically with me in mind we set up a cell for that which there is a facebook group for and they are still selling um and um after i finish pam's main and if you are a regular watcher you know we hung it behind us for a little bit we did and um i decided that after pam's main was done that i would stitch their i'll be home series all on one piece i wanted to say that i think also too that you started i'll be home in 2020 when we were all at home yes and i feel like that was a motivation for you to stitch that yes it just seemed appropriate it did it sure did and um and so uh basically because it's 12 houses one for every month i pace myself to complete one every month sure good well several of you chimed in and on instagram and said um oh you know i would love to see it at stitch con and so as it turns out the december the last for me cottage ended up stitching up fairly quickly yeah most of them do but this one was especially a quick stitch and i kept looking at the calendar thinking i think i can get it done i think okay yeah like the yeah and i thought i think i can get this done before stitchcon and that was my main motivation to plug away on it yes so um even though my deadline deadline deadline deadline was june 25th right with stitch con on the horizon i thought let's see if i can do it and i was able to do it so um it will be at con and both weekends both weekends um it it obviously it's not framed yet i haven't even shown it on flosstube no um but i did find a piece of foam core foam board whatever you call it and i was able to to clip it and i put it on the ironing board which never happens in this house no um and made it somewhat presentable yeah the foam core is not quite wide enough but people will get the idea right yeah so it's done um thank you again twins for and i say this i think this all the time and i say it frequently i hope enough thank you for allowing us to share your talents with the world yes and here it is we're going to try to do this here there we go we didn't rehearse this part we never rehearse anything let's start at the top okay so do you need me to help are you just going to do it yeah i need your help i always need your help are you kidding me so this is how let me start with top border okay and then we'll just raise it up for you to see it all i think and then maybe we can can we prop it up behind i don't know can we i mean on let's pause so um yeah we had to consult yes um where to put it and swing it around um these come as individual charts but you can buy the bundle from twin peak primitives on etsy their website and um they do have a master border uh for all of them um it's about uh 21 by 25 on 32 count or 16 counting or 16 count eight and they're really good for ada yeah good oh yeah for sure um no half stitches or no no funky stitches just basic squares basic squares yep um crosses i should say yes um so anyway um it's beautiful pam i you did an outstanding job i cannot wait it is going to go to craft gallery after stitch con yeah we have some framing to pick up from paula we do and then we're going to i'll probably just drop this because this is going to be a doozy a doozy right um and um once it's framed of course it probably will be on our wall permanently for a while oh yeah um i don't like that shadow let's take it down okay fine hold on okay sorry okay it also is a real just got real overcast here the rain is supposed to start any minute so here's here um but mo has no idea thunder this is the calm before the storm the thunder is gonna come and figure it out pretty quick and she's gonna run she's just sleeping so sweet yeah but she's gonna run here in a minute if it gets noisy it gets noisy oh we still have the shadow so it doesn't make it it's fine whatever but that's why it's getting increasingly dark it is yeah yeah um so anyway that will be at stitch con and framed fairly soon after after stitch gone and i'm really really thrilled with it all right it's just so so fun yeah you should be so proud yeah and it and it kind of gives you the idea that if you have something and it helps for things to be in parts right like little finishes little areas of accomplishment for sure um that uh you can't pace yourself um and and that um i did want to mention two things um i i made one small variation in one color floss in certain places 841 was too light and i went to 840. so that was because your fabric correct okay and um we debated about the number on the october house oftentimes for halloween designs designers put 1692 it's kind of a pet peeve for me that 1692 which was the salem witch trials had really nothing to do with halloween or or october and i don't usually use it right so um we had a little vote and we decided to put our house number on the october house so those are the only changes i made like i said 32 count dirty linen um and um yeah so in a little bit later in the episode i'll tell you uh what i'm seriously considering for for the next thing for the next thing there you go happy finishes everyone okay let's see if we can still see around here let's see we still have electricity yes it wouldn't have electricity the light would be off right so there's that ready oh before i before we go on to the next section the first time i've ever been prepared with the next segment sound effect and now she wants to say stop it put this stuff over here because yeah there's the rain look at mo most like what is happening um i wanted to mention too that our lovely finisher jan i gave her this fabric and she made a lovely project bag it's so pretty with a fabric there she goes yep fiber pouch inside which is where i kept my i'll be home all year yeah lovely lovely lovely and also i wanted to mention too that um oh yeah that uh kia um our friend kia um had all the charts um bound in a spiral at officemax or wherever for me show them the frosted cover had a frosted cover on the front yeah and was that really helpful to have it like that it was super helpful was that it was super helpful and thank you kia publicly for doing that um i could have done it but she did it as a as a kindness and that was super helpful but to have it spiraled and to go from then you could like fold the pages back and yeah when you had to flip from the table also the color key was on the back the master color key yeah so i wanted to just mention those two things because when you have a long term project like that yeah it's so fun to have everything coordinated yeah i don't know it's just a little for sure for sure a little a little plug it is so can we take that for you pam yeah okay great all right okay so that means now are you still ready well no i mean maybe let's see look at that so that means it's time for promotions i don't know why i must come to you all when i say the announcement okay so that means that it's time for the promotion segment of the program yeah which i just i'm sorry i keep looking over there because i think mo was over there but now she's her hiding spot is in the bathroom behind the door and between the wall yeah it's very much a fat guy in a little coat situation because she just shimmy's her little body in there and yeah she feels very much like that she feels very safe in that environment uh okay anyway time for promotions yeah so uh what that means is that it's time to talk about twin peak primitives more and so every week we have a pattern of the week and what that is is uh exactly what it sounds like so we look through their collection of beautiful charts we pick one that we love and that we think that you'll love as well and then we tell the twins they say okay and they make it 20 off for the following week for you all uh and so um this week's pattern of the week is what pam it is called twin peaks plaid democ 2021 summer and you'll understand the plaidemic when we insert a picture here i mean does that have camera that doesn't have camera and i don't know what it does exactly and let's hope that they are working working girls on the other three seasons oh yeah i'm sure there i'm sure they are um somewhere uh okay and so if you love plaidemic summer i'm just gonna call it plaid summer because it's i feel like i'm so plaid summer if you love it as much as pam does and i do uh and you would like to get a copy of that chart at 20 off then there are a few places where you can do that uh and so if you would like a pdf download of that chart you can get it at the twin peak primitives website or their etsy shop both of which are linked below you do not need a coupon code to get the discount it is already discounted for you if you would rather have a hard copy of the chart totally fine however there is only one place and one place only where you can go to get a discounted hard copy of the plaid summer for the following week and that is threads and twined and that is an online needle workshop in northern california and again you do not need a coupon code to get the discount is already discounted for you on that website as well right so i will link the etsy the website and uh dr twine below and while you are there we would also highly suggest that you make the purchase of the springfield 1817 sampler if you haven't already if you haven't already i know a lot of you have but we will continue to mention it okay so the purchase of this chart put your name in the bucket in the hat whatever in the receptacle to potentially win a grand prize up one thousand dollars yes you heard right whoa damage could you do so one more thousand effects dollars like roughly 35. so much damage you could do so much damage i need to do the math on this hold on what hold on okay so 1 000 you could get 28 fat quarters of fabric for a thousand dollars imagine that imagine imagine that that sounds amazing doesn't it so uh the reason for all of this is because um we were slated to have our second trip to europe this fall uh but due to covered restrictions we have canceled that trip uh but we realized that a lot of you had already purchased that springfield 1817 sampler and wanted it to not be for nothing um and so yeah um that means that this is the alternative price which is pretty pretty yes so if you would like to be entered in for that then please uh go ahead and purchase that chart right so after stitch con is over in two weeks um we will be talking about that and talking about that and talking about that and that'll be the focus for the remainder of the summer pretty much yeah and um i should add too that if you are interested now that you've seen the i'll be home altogether if you want to get the um all-in-one bundle that is available on both their uh and their website and um i think it runs around 50 bucks for 12 charts right 12 which is pretty legit so they're legit yeah just wanted to throw that okay all right that means it's time for mail call okay okay so um if you are on the um on the instagram uh if you're on instagram and you're active in the cross stitch instagram community then chances are high that you have heard of a lovely lovely woman whose name is linda now i realize that is a very popular name okay but her instagram handle is stitchy linda she is a lovely lovely human she's very encouraging very sweet she's just very active on the instagram cross stitch community and she watches flosstube too but um i just feel like i see her everywhere and that's it's great to have um somebody like that as part of the community anywhoozy watsie linda is uh coming to stitchcon which we're very excited about and um she lives in florida and she wanted to ahead of stitchcon she wanted to send us a little gift um which is not necessary but very very kind um and it is sort of like a thank you gift for our videos and for uh our work on stitch con which again not required but very very kind um and so she wrote as a very sweet note look at those beach chairs one for where linda where are you gonna sit that's okay i'll just swim in the ocean you and pam can sit and chat um and so as it turns out which i didn't realize this obviously would never have any way of knowing but she went to um another retreat and she sat with three really close friends of ours that we've sat at retreats with before and so they all know each other so it's cool i'm very very very excited we have lin this will be your first year at sichuan right i think so okay i thought so but yeah so let's sure show you what she got us right okay okay so you know linda we always say you listen yes you listen right yes she's also a very good packer she is this package actually came to keepsakes yeah and then i brought it home yeah so wrapped in all kinds of bubble wrap and foam and all kinds of protective gear gear yeah and protective packaging impressive that that made it linda sent me some wine she did from lake ridge winery and vineyards and that is in claremont florida look at that love it love it and she found this adorable i wouldn't keep some cold or hot yeah uh tumbler with a little little tricky spot on the top what is it pam a drinky a drinky spout and i haven't even opened the wine yet no drink isn't that cute it says florida on it with the with the um what do you call these birds oh mangoes there you go you're all yelling flamingo flamingo yeah yes so thank you linda very very thoughtful thank you linda okay i want to see what linda got me yes so i also got a cup from linda and it keeps things cold for 24 hours and keeps things hot for eight hours which is amazing yeah and this is what mine says i love chubby mermaids and you might be thinking is she calling you charlie what is it what is a chubby mermaid well let me show you what a chubby mermaid is yeah humanity yeah it's got manatees on the back isn't that cute and look look at this you're a mustache yeah i love his mustache he's so cute yeah yeah i love him thank you so much linda right another animal you can fall in love with it's kind of like a hippo it's a hippo of the seat and then she also sent me from maddie's sweet shop these things called little lil lil lil maddie's in the flavor key lime yeah my own and they are the bag is open right here it says uh at maddie's sweet shop we continue to do these old-fashioned way these are shortbread cookies with a candy crunch uh it says our award-winning little maddies are a delectable shortbread cookie with a sweet candy crunch covered in let's try one well that's what we're gonna do okay just one taste and you'll see why we guarantee every batch let's go let's go no no well i'm not have to are they really powdery sugary i don't know we're about i'm going to use a whole bag yeah gum really good really good with a cup of tea oh no oh very good mountain dew with a cup of tea very good linda thank you linda that was very generous and pardon my finger licking with their finger looking good they are thank you i'm proud of myself i did not curse [Laughter] thank you linda okay and then the other piece of meal call came from my sweet sweet sweet friend and i cannot wait to see her in two weeks where's matthews and then we'll go back see you soon i'm so excited um and she sent uh one of each of her new releases which is so very kind and then she might have sent some extras for a future giveaway right we will resume regular giveaways after stitch comp yeah and we haven't even mailed out the giveaways from last week from was that last week yeah times like two weeks ago it was just last week so all of you winners don't worry we haven't forgotten you but we just have been in stitch con mode and we we have everything set outside don't worry i don't think they're worried but just in case you are right um okay you guys want to see them and you might be able to see these in real life at sitcom if you're coming i'm just saying um and i mean the models just okay so these are her four new beautiful releases um this one is called old friends um and i love this and she um said that when she designed it that it was more for a friendship than a romantic thing which i love so very much i know a few people who i would stitch this for um okay okay do you have room there okay and then and then number two release which i've been watching her stitch this for a while and i love it so much this is claire hansen so you can either stitch it like as one big piece or you can stitch it as two kind of like smalls um and i love love i love this i love i love the whole thing and the um what is the thread that she used mpi 663 and oh the sampler was in dmc 502 and then the drum and the pink cushion weren't npi 663 so i love it i think it's beautiful i love the shade of green same here okay and then i realized that i don't go out we don't go outside i realized this not a freaking help correct but i love this chart so very much and this is my home in the garden it's so pretty gosh it's pretty and um why i love this chart so much i mean it's just beautiful the colors are everything but oh it's charted in gloriana there you go that's what makes it so pretty uh okay you have to do it yeah um and it's zombie stitch me fabric 36 count not another sampler from b stitch me cool okay anyway so to me this is like the perfect combination of kia and liz and i love them obviously um and they're my you know the closest bestest girlfriends um and so with the bee skip and then the garden and it's a liz chart and it's just it's so good yeah it's so good and then uh i am stitching all of the days of christmas um and she has just released the fourth day of christmas love it joy to the world for calling birds it is so pretty i feel like this one's going to take me forever to stitch look at that big block of yeah beige but it's stunning i'm very excited about stitching it and i'm doing them as samplers not as trees i mean the trees are beautiful but i'm doing the sampler so love it thank you so much liz i love you so much i cannot wait to hug your neck right okay that is all of the mail call that is the mail call so that means it's time for hall yeah you go first um i picked up three or four actually i picked up four but the one is going to be a gift for later on in the year so i'm not going to show it but um i love mad for minders is one of my favorite needleminder etsy's is it and um so i picked these three up um lizzie borden the wicked witch i'll get you my pretty and this gal talking about saturday evening post earlier this girl gal was on the cover of saturday evening post and has been charted for crosstag and i have the chart yes so um i got those three needle minders uh i love their they're wooden and they're just very very good well designed for shell designed so i got those three yes i also got oh that wasn't what i wanted to do nope so sorry it's fine i've already seen somebody stitching this on instagram i think and it's still available from samplers revisited and it's called clockwork crab this is not a very good picture but being a cancer astrologically yes um i think this is just super pretty and so yes stephanie got it for me from um their distributor so distributor yeah samplers revisited is distributed by a company called stitching pretty presents uh they also distribute bygone stitches which is the designer of one nation if you're familiar hold on a second can we do it no i just took it out of the plastic so oh to show the photo yeah yeah for sure um i thought i had a printout nope i did i i came out of the printer hopefully hold on and then the other thing that stephanie had to bring home from uh keepsakes was uh heart enhanced brand new patriotic tiny town i mean turn it there you go i mean it's damn cute it is it is cecilia just knocks it out of the park every single time i will stitch it as a banner yeah as this yeah we just don't have a whole lot of um uh places for drums places to set things on yeah in our home so um so if we have an option to make it not a drum yeah we're gonna take it okay yeah this one is my favorite this one uh-huh yeah i love this house here because i like the smoke coming out in the shape of a star did you see that oh yeah shoes and this other house this other house oh yeah yeah yeah yeah cute she's such a kid she's such a problem she is okay um that's your hall right and that is my home okay great wanna see mine okay i'm trying um i'm gonna keep showing my sticker haul um on here because i put it in my book of days which is my cross stitch tracker um and one of these days i need to bring my book of days to show in a video so you guys can see what i do around but um [Music] i got a package that came from i don't remember what country they're in scotland oh yeah glasgow yeah glasgow scotland yes um and the company the etsy shop is called little trinkets studio and i will of course link them below um and so how i do my book of days is every month is like a theme and so like in a color so like january was like blue and snow right february was like pink and hearts right okay very stereotypical what you would think of um and so but this is my first year doing it and stickering and doing any of that kind of stuff and so i'm finding out the things that i like that i want to do more of for next year whatever whatever and one thing that i've really enjoyed doing is um for people that i love their birthdays is putting like a balloon sticker or a party hat sticker or a present sticker around it and so i got two sheets of this party time stickers so cute so i got two sheets and they're not childish no no no you know right i love the party hat i love like love blah blah blah all that and then um this is their self care love it now i like all of them but i love the youtube symbol on the television for obvious reasons obviously and the nail polish and the chocolate bar and the slippers love it all so freaking cute and then like this and there's little notes around it that says like self-care be kind to your mind you are enough it's just real cute love it yeah and then this is the sewing time set and i think it's cute what is that supposed to be i don't know i don't know what that is oh it's a chalk marker oh okay um for hemming something gotcha and so like on like out june is stitching related month because ditch con is in june and so it's all crosstags and stickers like this so wonderful yes and then um they i got a sweet little thank you card and that is a sticker with a teapot on it and then i got this little cat too so cute yeah i love it okay uh and then we got our um crazy annie stitch in color and cotton fabric of the month this is april's fabric of the month okay and so this color is driftwood and i get 40 counts and i get 32 pounds yeah so these are pretty similar yeah somewhere yeah but an absolutely beautiful color the count has a way of determining how the fabric takes the dye but these actually match up pretty closely they sure do okay and then these are some charts i brought home from keepsakes so this is the country cottage xenoworks july sampler of the month and i love the little uncle sam's i think they're freaking cute i love it i love it i love it dear country coaching it works can you make these bigger next time it takes yeah you just can't see them all right i don't like it okay and then the wonderfully talented cecilia at heart in hand uh has started a new square dance series she did months one year she had christmas last year and now she's done halloween so the first installment of halloween square dance has come out and it is the cats the ghosts and the candy so cute um for the christmas ones she had like a complimentary border that it said like home for the holidays or something and then you picked three of these boxes and put them in that and that's how i'm gonna stitch or i probably should surress them in some way shape or form but i loved that idea and are you gonna do it for this one oh i'm sure she is i'm gonna ask her next weekend yeah uh okay this is new from stacy nash primitives this is the holly basket sewing roll not a very good picture but no dude what do you say you saw it stitched no oh sorry nope didn't say it said uh but um this was a expo release and i've been like flip-flopping on giddy and i was like screw it let's get it but um i'm not going to make it into a sewing roll because that feels like a lot of work to roll it up something else to put on the shelf right true not happening here nope um okay then i um i think it was maybe two weeks ago i showed you that guys that i got the new uh hands-on design language of liberty release it was a patriotic stitch that pam was gonna let me stitch and um we just got in to keepsakes the color and cotton coordinating thread back so pretty freaking pumped about that right i love things like that that are partially kitted it makes it so much easier on me okay oh my gosh oh there it is okay okay uh and then we got the new releases from teresa colgate and if you don't know um cincinnati where i was born and raised number one it was where we live now and also pigs are kind of our thing here so cincinnati used to be called porkopolis we have the flying pig marathon it's like a thing and so it makes me feel very like at home when i see pigs so i had to get wilbur look at him look at this pig this is the cutest dang pig you've ever seen right and i love him and i think he's sweet and i'm going to stitch him up yep he's going to go on our cincinnati wall uh and then this freaking beautiful sampler oh my god i'm so excited uh this is again i don't go outside i don't go outside i know but this is called for the love of nature well you can look out your window i can yeah and i do look at this freaking beautiful thing also there's a fox right here and i love this deer oh my god it's so pretty it's so pretty let's have a good cheers 32 count corn silk what's this discount 190 oh it's not huge 1.98 by 1.98 it's not bad and i'll say john furrier account okay then uh i made a uh etsy purchase from kingsland needle arts um and i just happened to be um on etsy and i noticed um so a while ago from crochet gogo uh she released this i can't read it in italian let me see i don't know what it's like called what are you trying to this yeah i don't mean i don't know what it what that is in english well it's the first part of uh la finestra del tempo okay great awesome i love that that's that that's intent in italian so i've had this for a while i've showed this when i purchased this but this is only january february march april obviously so i needed uh the second installment which just came out and so this is part two of la finestra del tempo by crochet gogo you could put that in your translator i could but i'm not going to okay um and i think it's super super cute and my favorite part about this whole thing is that there's a fox in the may block because people always put foxes with the fall and we had our foxes in may it was like april or may it was the spring whatever and so to see that i was so excited right so i got that and then just to make my shipping worthwhile i got a couple of charts from the scarlet house that i've been on my wish list the first one is samplers which ends up getting more into samplers and then this is find comfort and my good friend lisa come lisa comfort lisa kretzer had uh stitched this and sent it to keepsakes to get finished and um i've been doing it on it when it came in and so i put on my wishlist and finally got okay then i've been on stash unload and uh i've been on a sort of mission if you will you need to make a master list of all the ones that you have after this batch well the problem is is that they're in both of our stashes uh we share floss our fabric is separate and our cross stitch patterns are different or separate so the only thing we share is floss so that is what makes it difficult is because you have some and i have some that's true i mean really what's mine is yours i know but you know whatever so i'm also just i'm really good about knowing what i have she was very good at knowing i am i'm very good at knowing things okay anyway what we're talking about is the qriket collection mittens and so i'm on a mission to have them all we have quite a few yeah we have quite a few pam's been quick no i collected the reason i set up get a master list is there there may be someone out in flosstube land who says i know where to find this i know that you were looking for the mittens and i have this one and that one do don't don't because we don't really have a clear idea the ones we already have right i mean i was proud of the fact that she's very good at knowing i mean i have a pretty good idea we have a lot of them but anyway so the thing of it is it's like that they they put a freebie out every once in a while and that often times is a mitten torn acorn and so all of the free mittens we have yeah all the free ones we found but it's the ones that are like hidden in charts right on the back side yeah the cricket leaflet and that is where we're like didn't omit was in that didn't omit was in that snagit snagas nugget right so thanks to a very sweet friend on facebook she tagged me in these and what happened was i just got so excited that she'd found them and tagged me that i me pleased them all not realizing that i had also claimed duplicates of like one you only had one duplicate uh of all of them i thought yeah i did have one i do only have one duplicate which isn't bad for just shooting because i was like i was like bitten bitten and i'd forgotten what i had already claimed is the problem right right right they're not duplicates from stash i already own it in a giveaway okay so the first book is a woolen mittens and this is from 1995. what number is it it is book number 143 yeah love it then this is book number 150 and this is called woolen mittens 2. i really love this mitten and pam really loves this obviously not with this kind of finishing no more like this kind of finishing i'm just kidding no no neither but yeah yeah no no uh then next is book number 224 the christmas cupboard and this is one of those hidden in the chart ones love that that and then this is an acorn which they've calling they're calling jingle corn and i really like this too i think that's sweet as hook sweet a sec okay then this one is sort of like a mitten chart but like that you meant to stitch a lot of mittens together which i love and i had seen this chart finished by belinda at blue ribbon designs and she had ffo'd someone else's finishing because melinda has a finishing service and i was like must stitch that and come to find out the person who stitched it and maybe she brightened up the colors i don't know or maybe this the picture on this chart is a little bit faded whatever um but the chart is called family mittens and it is book number 226. like look at that little fox number so the idea is that you can mix and match the mom and dad mittens with the baby mittens isn't that so cute and so this was the one that belinda had ffo'd and she had done it with a hanger on top and then had pom poms around that was freaking cute um but yeah so is that a that is a fox is it not it's definitely a fox so freaking pretty okay and then the last two uh were books number 286 and 287 and it is dickens mittens as in charles dickens as in the christmas carol or a christmas carol sorry and so this is chapter one and inside it goes through and explains like who and what all of the mittens are supposed to represent from the from a christmas girl from a christmas carol yeah so so so cute and then this is dickens mittens chapter two again inside it explains like who and what all these things are so cute can you imagine stitched all those stitched up on a tree so cute and then that was the one i got a duplicate of yeah but that's not bad no just one different all over your enthusiasm for all of my enthusiasm about the mittens yes nope it's going over here anything underneath it no you've already shown those yeah okay yeah okay okay so that was all of our that was our haul add to cart congratulations okay we have a few people to thank we sure do we have a while ago we added the um a link to our description box of every one of our videos to our buy me a coffee page buy me a coffee is our um the alternative that we've created for you to support us monetarily for to see the content that we create here on youtube um instead of buying us a coffee however we are using your incredibly generous donations to frame our finished cross stitch projects so um one two three four those are all paid with by your donations so if you want to see more of that and you enjoy anything that you've seen or heard or saw here seen or heard or saw really seen and saw the same thing if you enjoyed anything that just happened in the last hour on this channel then um we welcome you to um take that opportunity if you so choose to do so it's totally optional totally optional all right so this week we had some very very generous donations before you had to buy me a coffee and um last week at the top of the list is a lady that donated between um last week's video and the video before and i missed it so a special thank you to sarah yes and also we heard from a few others with very very generous donations my goodness and lovely lovely notes yes solely cheryl luanne glenda claire and peggy thank you all so much and um the donation from peggy she is my old friend from that's right our rainbow girl days yes back in maine and um she donated after she saw the picture on facebook of my i'll be home series she said oh wow ron don't walk to get that friend oh that's funny and she sent us a little donation that's awesome so thank you to everybody who donated thank god like i said if there's uh like steph said if there's anything that um you've seen saw or heard that uh you thought wow what a great hour i've spent with these girls wow they're great i like them do we want to mention what um the guy from rogue stitching asked you in his phone call okay we're not going to go there no all right rabbit hole i did not want to go sorry you're not going to hear it um we had a private chuckle over it we did um okay so this is a big week people yeah big week coming up holy cow big week okay so uh this week is stitch con yeah a weekend a is this week um and so we are very very very excited about that obviously um it feels like it is a long time coming um and so but i don't want anyone to know or anyone to worry that we will be less excited for b we will be equally excited for b i promise you that oh yes um and so we've worked really really hard to make sure that we can a and we can be are exactly the same except for the attendees will be different um and so um we're excited for you all to come we're excited for you to see what we have in store for you um and um if you've never been um my best recommendation is to not worry everything will be fine and to just not expect anything because it's going to blow you away yeah um and because that is our goal that's our goal is to blow you actually away so um we're excited i know barbara's excited and the rest of us on this discount team is so very very excited right um and we know how um long you all have waited to be together and so we're excited if i stay excited one more time i know it's gonna say so this is sunday night here it is and um we basically have monday tuesday wednesday before you come three full days before stitch gone on new at noon on thursday and then after we um empty out the room next sunday night um we'll have monday monday tuesday wednesday before it's gonna folks show up at noon on thursday and that way so it does have an impact on our flosstube schedule and should we ask your forbearance in that and your forgiveness please all right but we will not let you go a week without a video because we love you all okay well they will go without for a week without them because we will not we will not make a video on sunday night no not on sunday night we will monday we will yes we will okay it may be in our jammies oh yeah we will can you imagine pam a stitch con recap video of two weekends at stitch gone no i thought we were gonna i thought we were gonna have it a little bit more delayed but you're saying monday we're gonna be able to i mean it'll be it'll be either monday tuesday or wednesday oh well that's what i was just about to say oh arguing my point oh okay yeah yeah so clearly it's not gonna be sunday night that's for sure because the stitching room doesn't close until 10 pm yeah and there ain't no way in god's trainers i'm going to come home from that and make a video no love you but no it happened right so um we will squeeze in yes a flosstube between weekend a and weekend b yes and so just don't panic um if you don't see us at the regular time you watch us yes we have not discussed this obviously are we going to discuss on camera yes however my thought process was that the video that's in between yeah would be more of like a regularly formatted video and we talked about whips and we talked about mail call and we talked about haul okay and all that yeah we won't have digested really right the grand the grand total of stitch con 2021 and then after b we'll do our full stitch con recap video and my biggest reason for that is because i don't i want to share pictures and videos and things with all of you of course of course of course oh yeah but i don't want it all like i don't want all the surprises to be given oh that's true we don't want to give away anything for the bee people and i realized that we are the people that oh like we represent stitch con on flosstube and so people will come to us for the information and i don't want to necessarily give anything away so i realized that it'll be a regular run-of-the-mill routine flux tube next week between two stitch guns correct with no secrets given out right right and then after b will have a much fuller and it will undoubtedly be a long oh yeah yeah if not two separate like we did in 2019 yeah so that's the plan right that's the if you followed along with that congratulations i know you get a cookie i know but not one of the key ones from one that yeah uh but yeah so that's a plan and just like i realized that it's inevitable that people from b are going to see content from a and i'm not going to tell anybody that's coming to stitch count a cannot share about their experience that's insane right um but for me it's kind of like it's kind of like how this is what i relate it to if you are coming to stitchcon b and you don't want your you don't want to see anything because you want it just don't watch all fresh just avoid it avoid it like you haven't watched the season finale of the bachelor there you go just don't watch just don't watch there you go right until you come to cincinnati yeah right just so discipline yourself it's gonna be real i know you really you know want to see it i know right on flosstube waiting for it but don't if you're coming to be don't i mean if you're coming to be and you've come in years before and you're like it's fine whatever then it's fine whatever but yeah yeah okay have we made that as clear as mine i hope so i hope so yes um that's going to do it for us yes and we hope that you've enjoyed your arrow with us um we look forward to sharing stitch con with you um when we're on the other side of it also on that note yes if you are not attending either weekend and you want to follow along and hear my perspective and my point of view as someone on the stichcom team and what we're going through um and how much fun we're having um the place to follow along for that content is on the keepsakes instagram page um keepsakes is of course the sponsor stitch con and i am the social media representative for keepsakes and so um i won't be sharing stories instagram stories on my own personal page um from stitch gone there you go i might throughout the week but the majority of the stitch con content right can be found on the keepsake's instagram page right right we're about ready yeah just about i made a big list yesterday yeah we've just checked things off like we're champions of today's ready obviously i got the hairs did and it was long overdue i'm gonna get my nails done tomorrow tuesday so i got my hair cut on wednesday i just want to be beautiful for all of you people there you go all right so have a good week everybody um if you're going to stitch constantly safe travels it's going to be a great week if you aren't going to stitch con it's going to be a great week it's still going to be a great week right it is it is so get lots of stitching in you'll probably get non-attendees will get a lot more stitching in than the attendees yes guaranteed very true um and um we will see you after after stitch corner yeah and uh we hope you have a good week yeah that being said i'm pam and i'm stephanie and this is just keeps teaching bye
