@34:30 you really get to see the sad after effects of what this kind of lifestyle does to people.
Guy seems pretty well off, but not even close to happy.
Love the butthurt trader at 50:27 who railed against the "algorithms, logarithms, monkeyrithms", saying "the computer is making it impossible for the trader to trade" - I don't know if he realized that the money he was making 20 years ago was purely due to market inefficiency. Now that inefficiency is gone. He thinks the "computer guys" are now replacing the human traders, when in reality, the pricing inefficiencies are now gone forever. The computer guys are profiting through HFT/volume, and/or AI algorithms.
I worked at a pizzeria 1 block from the exchange. Those guys were generous tippers. $5-10 for walking a couple of pies one block

First, they came for the stock traders...
Had to laugh a little at the 55:18 mark where a psychologist is helping the old school get with the new school.. The man walking in with his floor trading outfit, looking in disbelief, and then looking at the lady like "show me the way... This computer way...."
Was in the business for 20+ years. Was on the floor 20+ years ago (for a visit) came back last year. Far fewer real brokers now, a lot of window dressing making it seem just as busy. Mainly financial news people.
What a bunch of clichΓ©s these guys are. All the cigar stuff...hilarious.
What's up with the red jackets? Was that some sort of trader fashion or a uniform?
