hey Scott Grove here and I'm going to show you how I install drawer fronts especially an inset a candidate drawer fronts can be quite tedious for for lack of a better term so what I do is I sort of get them all in place and I have these calibrated shims and they're different colors this one's exactly 1/16 of an inch you can use Formica strips for mica or veneer just be sure it's all the same thickness and build up what you want so I want a thirty-second and a little bit right so I've evenly spaced this thing this whole thing out is looking all good but now I got to get this drawer front attached to the drawer and open it how do I do that it worried in the bottom too so what I like to do is use a little hot glue before it's worth this is a Uline hot glue gun this is the best glue gun that I have found it has temperature adjustment which is critical for different types of glues always fees it sits down real easy so that's my trick there so what I'm gonna do here is tilt one out I'm just gonna put two dabs of hot glue on there and make sure it's back in place and press that on what that allows me to do is now I can get my fingernails here and I can open this up and the drawer will come up with it eventually I'll take the hot glue out because I want to might be able to want to adjust the drawer slightly but I'll show you that in a bit so let me let me do this other one and then I'll show you how I attach the drawers from the inside okay now these should be attached so I can actually go ahead and take my shins out no I've already screwed the bottom drawer in it so I can be a little more aggressive with this one and now I can pull that drawer open and it's gonna stay in spec in place in just the case I'm gonna put a clamp on there I've pre-drilled the holes on the inside let me show you what that's about I've pre-drilled these drawer fronts a little bigger than the screw so any event I want to adjust the drawer ever so slightly a little wiggle room there the problem is if I just go ahead and put the screw in it may wander to one side of the hole or not and not give me that complete adjustability so by using a VIX bit I can pre drill a little hole on the inside of there so when I install my screw I'm guaranteed betted now I know it's dead center so what I will do is I will go ahead and put the two screws in pre-drill them then take them out and pop the drawer off and peel that hot glue off so then when I loosen this I'll be able to slide the drawer ound just a little bit so I hope that makes sense and please feel free to subscribe to my youtube and website or ya website imagine Grove and I'll see you next time you
