today we're going to fix up the ugliest house in The Sims your girls are HGTV fans at heart we love a little renovation so we thought why not just search the word ugliest in the gallery and see what epic doggos it it's called the ugliest house ever I love it's ever they don't want you to think that it was like there's been an uglier one no none before none after this is it what's the description no description given perfect this house will speak for itself give us nothing I'm just going to place this on the lot we are calling this the ugliest house because they have our personal opinion I've done worse I've done way worse oh yep okay starting off strong it has great curb appeal and by that I mean it is directly on the curb T TI T TI we're going to start here on the outside what jumps out at you we didn't put a stitch of wallpaper on this baby what beautiful lighting we're going to get by having just a fully transparent front door they want you to know that chess is their priority they will duel anyone that comes by on this sidewalk they do have a trash can though this is already better than half of our builds we have here a high chair not only a high chair but also a toddler potty I didn't even see that so we have a free range toddler where we don't know and the last time they ate was animal crackers which only have 10 hours to go until they're expired rooster so tough that's going to be uh really terrible for roof and Karen wait what's that there even more I mean outside babies are in here is the interior maybe the no lights that's a technique so you can't really see I'll add in some canned lighting it's also the epitome of open concept the office and then a little toddler room they put the bed inside I think that's nice we have to keep the toddler in this build here's the kitchen and it's really handy cuz it's got the toilet right here you could get all your business done in one location where's the sink oh oh oh oh here's the living room right next to the entry and then they wanted to have some kind of primary bedroom they had a lot of ideas but just not a lot of walls thank you whoever did this you uh defin itely put together quite the challenge we're going to put some rules in place we are not going to touch any of the outside walls we're going to allow ourselves to be able to get rid of inside walls roofs don't have to stay either also what packs did they use oh no this is base game I think we got to do it base game I'm glad you're so on board so then we'll definitely do it do you want to start outside or do you want to start inside what scares you the most definitely the roof okay so outside so inside so let's start inside that's exactly what I thought I say we gut this thing then we can figure out a layout it's demo day baby this is what we got to work with I can already think of a couple of things in the floor plan I want to flip this is where the kitchen was originally I think this little corner area is definitely more kitchen this will be kids room we could try to still make this a home office main bedroom so if we're going to get a bathroom in here then this has to be living space and it is so small and we have to get a tub in here because we have a todders this is why they let them stay outside there wasn't space for them in here what if instead we switch it around a little bit and we have this be an office and then this over here becomes the bathroom that's a dungeon we can do a big arch oh nice we could add a window back here too it might look a little weird when we start doing the outside the outside is somebody else's problem it's my problem oh like an 8s movie where the girl needs a makeover so they take off their glasses I think we remove the glasses off of this house I think it would be fun to keep some glass we could do something like that wow it's it's amazing I take that girl to prop I like the layout these are all just placeholders y'all if you're like oh my gosh what is this what are they doing yeah no we would never let's get some flooring wallpaper so obviously we could go if you pick that dot wallpaper I swear do it brightens up any space I do like this that adds so much Dimension AR makes it look so much like cooler and lived in this build is just going to be a bunch of Base game things that Connie and I like so deal with it maybe we start kitchen that's kind of nice right watching ERS a surprising lack of green so far if you think that plant time isn't coming you don't know us so we have some options here we can either do fully brown or the white with the brown cabinets on the bottom what do you guys think brown brown I like the brown too and I think once we add plants I think it'll all come together if we choose the appliances then we can know what kind of metal we're doing I couldn't agree more we're not on a budget by the way uh my what never heard of her do a little why was that so classy this feels like a older sort of home but like it's got style can we do the trick where you fit the hood vent into the cabinet yeah for sure for sure you can find Hood vence if you click stoves and there's this one that's called wall mounted modern stove hood that will actually fit up into a fulls siiz cabinet like that isn't it so cool so now it looks like completely built into like the space I would like to try to fit a table then we need a couple of chairs or what about the dark green o I like that let's pick a hallway table I'm always buy I really like this one cuz it's got the books in it oh I don't at that one what do you think I could always add books she's willing to sacrifice but not that much the Clutter is coming that sounds so ominous it is I think we need some more color in here I think so too sold immediately in The Sims you actually have to leave one countertop empty for cooking quarter cabinets sometimes they work sometimes they don't so usually they're the ones that we clutter I love that plant that guy is my guy something like this yeah something like this I want to move this a little bit closer to this slant back here all you have to do is just move your counter place your item kind of where you think you want it move your cabinet back I'm happy with I already love how that's looking we stick something up here mug stack with a paper towel holder oh there's no mugs we have a horrible news guys here I'll show you the mugs that we have this mug rack I love a mug rack love it look how many swatches there are would you think the mugs would switch during those swatches you would hope the Aldi thing that changes is the wood on the back I would love for this to get some more swatches cookie jar on top of the fridge you all know we love that should we put books up there too I love this by the way I about say by the way I just wanted to give you a heads up that I love this I feel like you always need like a mirror in the entryway I think we should just go with like a a big in is that big enough oh that's a big in you want to do this one maybe it really does come down to okay yeah that's better I'm just imagining everyone coming into our chat for the first time and they just see all of you typing n over and over you're going to terrify everyone no no no they get it n n n n n I like that I love that this section is oh wait hold it we're going to put in a light switch guys look I'm happy with this yeah I'm really happy with how that looks we should move on to the living room first off couch Connie hates this couch I can't stand this couch how much green is too much green there's never enough green that's a ridiculous question we need a compact coffee table we have 10 options is that kind of cool it's kind of fitting like the she shops at World Market aesthetic this is a World Market Gore let's look for a rug I do always enjoy this guy oh no that's so pretty right CU I love that that adds a little bit of pattern into the space we need a plant got it I'm on it it just fit yeah it'll it'll it'll fit it'll fit it'll it'll fit that we're going to try to put something under the TV though you think we could fit something yeah I think we could fit an under TV thing you don't think we can no sure totally something like this do you like that color yes but I'm also willing to look at some na do you like that color goes to swatches I'm so glad that you took into account what I thought of about it though I did want to ask do you think we could fit a chair oh yeah I love this see this is kind of small I think it looks cute actually Al together I have a wild and crazy dream and I don't think it's possible it's always books o yeah the whole living room would have to go a little bit to the left okay I don't hate this no I think this looks really nice I think it's functional it could just be could maybe be functional quick clutter I think earn earn earn guys we'll see about the earn in a moment can we get a statement like you know never use what's it called the thing it's in the sky oh a fan a fan thank you this no it's got the green I kind of like that I do too I like the look of it with this sort of style that's like the main area done I love like The Eclectic feel but it also feels homey and cozy I think so too I really like the color palette that you ended up with I'm going to move into the office there's very few chairs that we like we always use the drafting chair it's classic again we're doing base games so we're just doing all the stuff we like it's all of your hits all in one place learn to love them wow you're going to give them the fancy laptop huh they deserve it they had the Box computer this is a bit of an upgrade I hope the whole house will be a bit of an upgrade wow that's so big wo that is a that is a lamp that is a lamp you put it in the hallway though no I had a different one oh you did oh oh okay oh that changes everything I also would like to say that I would like the green leaf picture that's my favorite base game picture and can we put it there on the I'm on it I'm on it it's perfect they say that if you have a small space just put in big AR that looks so cute that's really cute right I love this it's nice too because we have the open Arch so they can watch like for the baby we should put some toys for the baby in the living room I forgot about the baby I also feel like the last person who did this forgot about the baby so I think it's kind of on par bulletin board on the other wall in the office let me look let me look let me look look look they're not called bulletin boards in this Sim so if you ever are missing it it goes by quk board you can add postcards to bulletin boards they're in debug the postcards will just clip straight onto the cork board which is so nice they love to post their travels baby's travels he's out in that Wilderness and he's making moves they're actually looking for him right now these are the places where they haven't found them should we do the bathroom this one should be pretty easy too there's only like so many ways we can do this oh this is cute we could do this one or this one this one that one G loves to give me choices without choices you know what I mean we have been digging terra cotta lately so let's not be wrong that's immediately hot so this is an option they actually added some new swatches to a bunch of the look at this look how pretty that is we need like a wall color that matches now see that's a thought that's a thought I obviously don't love the little trim tile there at the bottom unless there was one that looked okay that's better oh I don't hate that at all is that kind of pretty and we don't have to do too much in here no but I do think we should add a plant but of course who are we monsters exactly let's pretend for a moment a Sim can get by Let's Pretend this entire build Works nothing is too tight in this build at all I like the brassier color the vintagey wooden toilet would look good in here oh love it love it we put a plant or FR yeah I think we put a plant up there was not clip into the back of the toilet listen sometimes you got to do things yourself sometimes you got to do things the oldfashioned way now these kids have it easy with things that snap to the back of toilets toddler potty great point oh I don't think we'll put it in here though I'm just saying this bathroom is aesthetic and this besides it goes outside we already have one guys have one they're fine we'll do light switches and then we'll look at actual lights that they would actually be turning on do we like this or does it look off I don't like it yellow can you change the light color you just press shift and then you click on the light and then you can change the color you can do that in build mode when you have tool mod or you can do it in live mode if you don't new toddler room the star of the show you know what I think we should do first for inspo because I love the idea of our traveling Forest toddler baby I think we look for something wallpaper wise that kind of fits that Vibe oh man there's one I'm thinking of but but I think it's in Parenthood the the creepy tree one how good would that be for creepy Forest baby what if we do this one it's like a mountain Escape like they're escaping out into the mountain they give us the new base Game Rug that has the mountains on it it has all the Grays and blues we could do Grays and bl BL his natural habitat I know our cped baby should we do a bunk bed yes I know that that doesn't work for toddler technically but you can stick toddler beds under bunk beds they still function we can get the new one I do like the light blue that's pretty we could add like a bear or something down here like a stuffed animal to make it more fun I know I found a blue one the bear seat the bear seat would look so good in here with this do they have a Swatch that's a polar bear yes his face if that's not crypted baby coated I don't know what is I think who window he needs to be fully immersed in theide the wild we could go iconic oh I think we have to we do the little mushroom lamp too Bears mountains our baby who was raised by bears do we have room for the the fox basket we always have room Fork this one that one that's perfect it's a little bear someone said Cloud light I actually don't hate that oh we should totally do a cloud light because now we're up in like the sky level we could do the cloud shelves with books on them we need more Cloud we'll just put books up here is that perfectly on there wow what the heck okay now that's impressive folks she'll be here all night all right good get as lucky the second time sometimes you only given a gift once you know that's right I was definitely thinking we should go with string lights was anybody else thinking string lights or was that just me his favorite blocks he has to have them there's another rug that has the mountains that's circular I like that better I think this is good I love this room right he's got everything he could want in there yeah including the Bears that raised him the main bedroom and I'm going to tell you right now I can't stand that window I like that they've picked one different one I like the concept of something different and I know exactly what window I want to do baby it's a big yes yes yes yes yes so this room the idea was the windows fine I'll put an ear in guys we're doing a room but you can stare at your ear there's a Swatch in here that I wanted to use so bad this one ooh yeah right that one that one that one that one that one that one that one that one so I love these side tables there's two of them there's this side table and this side table and they both are slightly different but they're just enough mismatched that it gives this cool like eclectic feel but they also come in all the same swatches I like that up against the window it just kind of looks like it exactly it just kind of goes in we can even scoot it scoot it back uh that's where my earn is say it with me French do you can't have the ugliest house if you have French doors we need a rug and we need a rug desperately doctor we need a rug St please she's in critical you know what we haven't done I do love this rug does this look like it kind of matches this I actually agree do you mean a green no I don't we need some lamps on the bedside tabl yeah or sconces whatever we want to do but I want lamps okay I said whatever we want and I know what I want I want to use I love this one this is the most modern looking lamp I think they have in base G in base game right we need art no it's never that one it is okay fine fine this one on this side bab and then we'll do the other one on the other side to match or we can do um something else what if we do this plant with a mirror like a standing one right cuz I don't think we have one that can go on the wall no we have one it has kind of Blended yeah I I would rather do one on the floor yeah I'm with you actually and then I get to keep my picture whichever Co so that's why you didn't want to do the wall one are you guys ready for clutter plant book candle lamp exactly guys we have to do a plant giving the earn some life with the plant I mean it's not bad I'm thinking like one more piece of clutter maybe there either shirts or the globe would be an option car loved the globe car lost Shute this is one of those times I wish we had the Cur Rod though from the new kit do we do anothering ceiling fan oh I kind of think yeah if we're going to do the fans we do the fans the fans are we done with the inside this is the floor plan we started with isn't that crazy that I can't believe it used to look like this I'm terrified you're terrified of what now the outside don't say it too loud it might hear you I'm going to go ahead and start by moving the lot just back a little bit that's already better with the roofs do you think there's anything that can there's no saving it sometimes section I can get I cover with this gabled roof piece facing this way it just helps build like a base for everything I'm also thinking about doing a porch back here I'll add the porch in a sec I believe myself G's just giving her self self affirmations as she Roes yeah I'm going to have the porch now thought I was like going the thing is this porches fix everything if you're ever in trouble put a porch on it that's sort of the vision right uhuh I like the vision I would like to give it a little bit more something oh like an even bigger one back here type of thing something oh yeah like siding aren't we going with drywall we've got a couple of greens you can't suggest green as the first thing because that's going to be the thing that I'm going to want we just going to pick the green foundation you're going to draw out with the foundation but if you want it to just be flat on the ground then you want to start from away from the foundation and go in the high hges a hedge would be cute yeah they still have their front porch chest don't worry guys any Challenger that comes down the road still has to face off in a chest battle they still have to fight let's actually get a nice chest table what is this not fitting the vibe the mood uh ceiling look how sick that looks so my thought process is we do a little picnic table and then no the high chair can come in and that way feral baby still can maintain some of their feral babiness they still eat outside the boy needs a tree he loves climbing should we give him monkey bars too yes I'm going to do a little bit of terrain paint of course this slider at the bottom adjust the softness of your terrain paint you can use this tool to feather it out so you can just add it to the trees a little around the house or around the paths or your mailboxes it just makes it feel much more pardon the pun grounded I won't pardon it I love this it's so pretty love this do you guys want to see the comparison so this is what was labeled the ugliest house ever and then here is the finished product after about 4 hours and a huge porch hey we're back and we actually like the house so we want to give you a tour I can't believe it turned out so good especially when it's all base game the original house was priced at 9,645 Simoleons and how much was ours just like a little bit more uh-huh okay like a lot of bit more 55,974 simoleons so we really just threw that out the window mhm I'm sure you probably noticed this by now but we actually did this all on stream so you should should definitely go and follow us over there
