Fixing one of my old beats!! (I was so bad lol)

[Music] [Music] yes I wish for a million I had to put up a new set of lights because the other ones were falling down hey what is going on guys welcome back to the video welcome back to another video of my name is Kyle beets if you've never seen me before you don't know who I am that's my name and Here I am making something so today's video I thought of this idea yesterday I've done videos where I listen to your guys beats I fixed him and I make them better and I've also done videos where I've listened to my old beats and kind of made fun of that but I thought hey I should do a video where I go into one of my old old beats like literally from when I the first year first couple months I started making beats and saving them and tried to fix one of them I have a ton of beats that were on one of my hard drives and I pulled open this file random beats haven't listened to any of these I checked out two of them just to make sure they were good enough to even fix because some of them are horrible I feel like I want to make this a miniseries in its own because I have so many beats that are just not good and it shows you like kind of the progression as well because these suck so yeah let's get into the video if you haven't subscribed to make sure you subscribe hit the bell let's get it right now in three two one I'm just going to look through a bunch of these and just figure out which one I want to use I also want to want to listen to some of these this one's called 403 [Music] [Music] this one is called this one is called one three two four three five four five four five I remember this one I remember this one this one's not bad [Music] this one is called chill AF [Music] I think I like this 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 so this beat right here I'm gonna mess with this one so first I'm gonna do is just go to pattern 1 and just get the melodies right and these are all like what is this little harsh I'm gonna keep it kind of the same sound I'm gonna on the sphere and get some organ just to keep the same kind of style to it it's not a bad sound I'll keep that one definitely it makes it better it mixes really low I'll see the bass is fine like I'm gonna add a 808 in there so I'll just keep that for the bass [Music] [Music] all right so these claps and everything I'm just gonna I'm just gonna put all my own sounds in there and just cut the claps out already sounded better adding a couple more notes in the hi-hat I have three kicks layered on top of each other because I had the limiter on so my kicks were not hitting how they spoke how they would are supposed to be [Music] Wow should I keep that in there that's kind of live actually this little hi-hat it's good I don't know if you can tell but it's going I'm gonna open up some omnisphere and see if I can get a better sound than that random like the sound that I used [Music] I'm gonna do a little gross feet half-speed see how it sounds like that might be a little it for this right now it's gonna add some extra things now like a snare I'm gonna add a percussion and for touching noises and stuff like that just to like give this beating my soul I'm the sky snare from the flask it of course [Music] man today's 2.0 which I've been messing with lazy the 808 I'm gonna kind of follow the base notes a little bit which is this [Music] [Music] I'm at the point now where I'm happy with like how the actual pattern sounds now I want to go through and touch a couple things up and just kind of arrange it a little bit more so I'm going to start like this it's going to be just the organ and this synth pattern one and then power two is gonna be this I think that the beats gonna drop with just the piano I think [Music] [Music] all right so I want to let you guys hear this you guys pretty much saw how I did it I will say though although this was like the best I didn't go through all my old beats that I pulled up really quickly like when I first heard it it sounded like it has had the most potential it was very difficult because the way I laid out the chords I didn't want to do anything changing it too much I wanted to keep that initial thing but I want to show you guys what it sounds like now I want to show you the before and the after I have two versions and then we can you guys can decide which one is better but yet let's listen to the before version before I did anything to it my old beat exactly the way it was [Music] [Applause] all right you heard that it sucks now let's listen to the after version when I just made right here in three two one [Music] [Music] [Music] yeah I hope you guys enjoyed this
