Fix YOUR Lawn Drainage and POA Problems NOW

hi I'm mikee at OCD laan care we're back at Grahams lawn one year later uh from seeding we had a complete spray off and started again and it's been so wet we have drainage issues here which we're moving forward we're going to fix that with some 8020 silica sand soil mix as you can see if we just look down here we completely infested with powera but we're not worried about that because we're going to vertic cut that and we'll be vertic cutting every 2 weeks once we push the growth um so we're going to do an overseed in about a month five weeks I'm sure it'll be back to its former glory so enjoy the show we're going to do the vertic cutting with Graham's little vertical mow it's from Screwfix and he bought the verticut attachment on Facebook fantastic Little Tall but it's too light um so we're going to put some weight on the top just to get a better contact with the soil cuz we're not worried we need to get down as deep as we can cuz of the power time laps a [Music] LP well for a little electric screw fix vertic cutter that's done a good job so we just got a Hoover over here with the lawnmower pick all the stragglers up there will be some left in but gr will be doing his ver cutting once a for night once we've got this done but that's an amazing little tool for very little money I thought it was a kids toy at first cuz I've got an alley with the vertic cutting attachment but that's in there nice and deep so yeah good tool so we're going to mow it now and then we'll be doing a coration enjoy [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] well we've mowed up all the remaining debris from alwn this looks fantastic look at those lines that little vertica incredible so we're going to do the core ation now and then we're going to blow the cores up collect them cuz we're back filling with a 8020 mix of silica obviously 80% silica uh silica sand and yeah Graham's done a good job over the uh Summer and the winter he's done really well even though it looks bad but it is good [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay that's all the core eration done really happy with the uh color of the cores we got good soil going on here so yeah I'm going to blow those CES into a pile Gram's going to collect them and then we're going to do our dressing with the sand and back fill those [Music] cores okay so this is going to be our top dressing 80% silica sand 20% soil have a look that is absolutely Ely fantastic that's going to Aid our drainage we're being proactive rather than reactive so next year it'll be even better this long so let's get this on [Music] [Applause] [Music] I am absolutely knackered I've never pushed um silica sand before it's quite tough but uh it's done a fantastic job if you're cylinder mowing all day use a 7030 silic sand mix really happy with that so we're going to get the seed on the top of here and then we'll put the fuel compost number four over the top just to protect the seed I think this is going to be fantastic moving forward make sure you like like And subscribe cuz we'll be doing updates on this long cuz it's an interesting loan and you know we're infested with power see how we cope with it so yeah let's crack on [Music] [Applause] [Music] so that's the seed down so what we're going to do now is get the FI compost number four just to cover our seed and I will put a bit of seed over the top cuz I always do Under and Over let's crack on with [Music] that all right fil compost number four down let me know in the comments because I've seen everybody do it with a rake and I just thought that was too slow so I use a lawn Loop but the theory is you want to try and keep your seed placed and not disturb it so much so does the lawn Loop disturb it too much or is the breake better option for me this is the way and then I'm going to put some seed over the top cuz they're already you can see the seeds on the top anyway so they're not all covered they're just sitting in that so I'm going to put some seed over the top because cuz maybe I've made a bear patch with the loot but I think you do that of a rake anyway so let's put some seed over the top and then we're going to put some sea weed some special secret juice down and then we're done I think it'll be beer time so enjoy the time laps [Music] okay that's grams long done Boston seeds premere come back in 3 4 weeks like And subscribe because this is going to be fantastic so we'll see you at the next one goodbye for now [Music]
