Fix VAC Errors in CS2 | Easy Full Guide | Updated

if for some reason when you try to play CS2 you're getting an error in game that looks something like this some of your files have been detected to have no signatures blah blah blah you need to fix it in order to play on vac secure servers and you can't search for games how do we fix this well the answer is very simple and the same issue has existed since csgo first of all obviously you've probably verified your game files to do so in Steam find the game and right click it properties then on the installed files tab you should find a verify Integrity but button here assuming this is already run through and you're still getting the issue the answer is super simple find the game right click manage and click browse local files this will take us to where the game is installed now the steps are pretty much the same as my previous video just now it's for CS2 in the game folder here not bin but game then the bin folder followed by win64 you'll find CS2 simply select and right click this then choose properties and on the compatibility tab over here you should make sure that run this program as administrator is unchecked like this click apply then okay and the next time you fire up the game things should be working properly if for some reason you need to play the game in administrator mode with this option ticked how do we do that well assuming this option is ticked we need steam to be running as admin as well for this click steam in the top left followed by exit and once you've done so simply hit start locate steam or find an icon on your desktop right click and choose Ren as administrator when you do so steam will start as usual you should be able to play the game and as long as both of them are either running as admin or both of them aren't running as admin the game should work prop if you want to check that steam or the game is running as admin we can do so very simply from the task manager simply open this with control shift and Escape head across to the details tab which on Windows 11 is this icon over here then sort by name click anywhere and type S to jump straight down to S where we should find steam if you don't see a tab filled with yeses and NOS right click click any of these at the very top and choose select columns then make sure that scrolling down elevated is ticked now when we hit okay you should see elevated yes and no if an option says yes it's running as an admin if it says no it's running as a normal user for example steam here is running as not an admin if you see that your game is running as admin and steam isn't or vice versa simply make sure to launch one or the other either as admin or without just so both of them match it's super simple it's a bit annoying especially if you need to play the game as admin but anyways oh and also a quick tip if you are playing the game as admin but all of your keybinds and Discord and things like that stop working simply close those as well and make sure those are all running as admin too then your keybind should start working again on top of this if you're playing with an older version of Cs where you can also choose csgo by enabling a beta you may need to go back to the official normal Branch to do so right click CS2 click properties and on the betas tab over here simply make sure you have none selected for beta participation you may have something like csgo demo viewer selected in order to play the older version of csgo where you can join Community servers Etc normal CS2 may work in this mode but I usually always come back and set it in on just to make sure there's no issues and everything's up to date there will be a 13 gig download or so downloading csgo every time you choose this option again but if for some reason you're having issues playing CS2 then this is another solution also a quick note if you see anything about insecure simply make sure you're not launching the game's exe directly either by navigating to your game folder and running CS2 or to also make sure you've not created a shortcut on your desktop to the actual file rather in Steam right click the game manage and choose add desktop shortcut here this will start it up through Steam rather than the file directly which could be causing the issue also on the properties Tab and general make sure that in launch options you don't have hyphen insecure or anything that looks a bit suspicious that you don't recognize that's a super simple fix another solution which is a little bit of an odd one if you're specifically getting a signatures error and verifying doesn't help we can try deleting specific files verifying again to make sure that those files are downloaded replaced and fixed right click Counter Strike 2 in Steam hover River manage and choose browse local files then inside of here in game open the Bolder win 64 and in here look for CS2 as well as csgo do signatures select both of these files and delete them both then in the search at the very top right click here type in Star dot followed by signatures or just sign and you should find three or so files simply select them all and delete these ones too then all you need to do is in Steam right click Counter Strike 2 click properties and in the installed files tab click verify Integrity of game files this will verify all of your files redownload the ones that we just deleted and hopefully fix the
