so i was trying to play valorant on my windows 11 and then i got this error this buildup vanguard requires tpm version 2.0 and secure boot to be enabled in order to play error code is van 9001 and sometimes i also get this error code van1067 it says valorent has encountered and connection error in fact this error also occurs in many other applications other than the valorent so today in this video i'm going to show you how you can solve this error so without further ado let's get started if you take a look at what error is actually saying most commonly you will find it requires tpm 2.0 version and secure boot to be enabled in order to run whatever application or game that you are playing so first let's see how to enable tpm on your bios settings now it's true that according to the motherboard and the cpu type that you are using whether it's amd or intel definitely your bias settings may change and on top of that you got lots of motherboard vendors but don't worry there is a very easy trick to find tpm settings on your particular motherboard if you got a amd ryzen system it is usually listed as ftpm in your bios and if your system is using intel cpu then it is listed as ptt that is platform trust technology now for some reason if you still can't able to find your tpm settings on your motherboard few days ago i have made a video where i showed tpm settings for each and every motherboard that i have came across so chances are you can easily able to find the settings for your motherboard do check out the video right in the i button also in the description below now let me show you how you can turn on secure boot and tpm settings in your bios so first thing first you need to get into your bios and to do that i'm going to use a very easy method you can simply open up your start menu and go into your settings now here go into your system settings and over here you will find your recovery settings go into that and there is a option to advance startup if you don't know how to get into your bios well this is the easiest way to do that you can simply click on restart now and your pc will restart and automatically get into the bios alternatively while restarting you can hit the bios hotkey such as delete or f2 once you get into the bios it will look something like this using your arrow keys simply go into the advanced tab then here you can see there is option for amd ftpm switch for the intel users it is same you go into the advanced app and there you will find ptt option make sure to enable it and next one to turn on the secure boot head over to the boot menu and over here go into the secure boot settings and here you can see there is a os type here you need to set windows uefi mode now to save the changes that you have made in the bios head over to the exit tab and here you will see save changes and reset it will show you all the changes that you have made so we have turned on the ftpm and secure boot as well okay so now after a reboot let's see whether our problem is solved or not before we load up the valorent make sure you verify these settings go into your start menu and search for tpm here you'll see device security go into that and here are three settings first is core isolation security processor and secure boot first one the core isolation might not be useful for solving this particular issue but security processor relates to the tpm so let's go into that here you can confirm that tpm 2.0 version is enabled and talking about secure boot here you can see secure boot is on so now that everything is enabled successfully let's see our valorent is working or not i hope this video was helpful make sure to hit that like share this video subscribe to our channel and this is kedar from how to guys signing out
