Fix Laggy or Stuttering Discord Stream - Stream Lag

In this video I’ll be showing you how to  fix a laggy or stuttering Discord stream.  Start by closing Discord. Open the hidden icon menu,   if Discord is here then right-click and  choose to quit to close it properly.  Open the start menu and search for Discord.  Right-click on Discord and choose to run as  administrator, you may be prompted to confirm.  Try streaming, if the stream is still  laggy then open the start menu again.  Search for graphics settings  then open the graphics settings.  On Windows 11 click the “change  default graphics settings” text.  Turn on the reduce latency and improve  performance option, then restart your   computer. If it was already enabled then  turn off the option and restart your PC.   Sometimes your PC will perform better with the  option turned off so it’s worth trying both.  Try streaming, if it is still  lagging then open the user settings.  Select the Voice and Video settings from the side. Scroll down to the advanced settings and   turn off the H264 video codec option. Close and try streaming. If the issue is fixed   then head back to the voice and video settings. Try turning the H264 codec option back on then   only disable the hardware acceleration option. Once done try streaming again.  For the next solution open the user settings. Select the advanced settings from the side.  Turn off hardware acceleration, then  click “Okay” and Discord will restart.  Try streaming again, if the issue still  persists then press Ctrl + Shift + Esc   to open the task manager. If your task manager is blank   then click the option to see details. Select “Processes” from the side on   Windows 11, or from the top on Windows 10. Find applications that you aren’t using but   know what it is, such as Chrome. Once you find one  right-click on it and choose to end task. Again,   make sure you don’t end task on any program  that you are unsure of what it does.  If you don’t feel comfortable doing this then  you can close the applications using the cross   in the corner. Also, close applications  that remain open in the hidden icons menu.  Another solution for Discord stream lag is to  ensure you don’t have your own stream open on   a side monitor or in a popout mode. If you have  it open in any way then be sure to close it.  Next, if you have Discord Nitro then we  highly recommend trying to stream in a   lower resolution or frame rate. 720p and 30  FPS should be fine when streaming on Discord.  The next solution is to open  the Discord user settings.  Select Voice and Video from the side then  scroll down and find the “Enable quality   of service high packet priority” setting. Try toggling this option, some people will   get a better streaming experience with this option  turned on while others will experience issues if   it's enabled. If you don’t notice any difference  then we recommend turning off the setting.  You can also try turning on or off the option to  use advanced technology to capture your screen.  Close when done and test streaming on Discord. If you’re looking to upgrade your Discord server   then check out our store linked in the description  for channel banners and other useful graphics.  The next option is to restart your modem or  router, be sure to leave it turned off for   at least 60 seconds before turning it back  on to make sure the device resets correctly.  If your Discord stream is still lagging  then open the start menu and search for CMD.  Right-click on command prompt and choose to run  as administrator, you may be prompted to confirm.  Now you need to enter each of the commands  here one by one. Be sure to press enter   after each command and give enough time for the  process to finish before entering the next one.  Restart your PC when all of  the commands have been used   and finished running, then try streaming again.
