type in device manager here you have to click on device manager after that click on display adapters then choose your specific graphics card click on it with using the right button of your mouse and choose the option update driver here you have to click on the option search automatically for drivers after that you have to wait until it updates the driver when it is ready click on close and close the window of the device manager these m is not enough in all the cases therefore you have to download the driver of your graphics card from the internet open a web browser and type in the model of your graphics card and the expression driver download mine is an mvidia GeForce therefore this is the one that I am going to enter but you can find the links to the driver of other graphics card in the description if you have an mvidia graphics card then choose the Nvidia GeForce drivers page here you have to click on the download now button and wait until it downloads when the download has been finished then start the downloader this time you have to click on the agree and install button and the downloading starts if the download has been finished then the software starts automatically you have to log in here or register a new profile then click on the drivers and search for updates by clicking on check for updates if the software finds any update then download it the in-game overlay has been turned on automatically if you would like turn off this settings click settings icon then scroll down and you can turn it off here which can be useful because it might lead to higher FPS and reduce the possibility of a crash after that close the Nvidia application and restart your computer and try to start the game if this method doesn't work out for you then try The Following start up the steam click on Library search for the game and right click on it and choose properties click on installed files click on the verify Integrity of game files button and wait until it finishes when it's ready click on the browse and right click on game application and click on properties click on compatibility tick in the run this program in compatibility mode try to run the game in Windows 7 and Windows 8 mode and take in the disabled full screen optimizations as well the run this program as an administrator doesn't always work but make sure to try it since the game doesn't start sometimes because of it I only advise you to run low resolution mode as a last scenario solution because in this setting the game will have a poor resolution click apply and okay and try to start the game if this method doesn't work out for you then try the following right click on the task bar and open the task manager then click on startup programs disable those softwares that you don't use every time and finally close the task manager and restart your computer click on the search bar and type in Windows update click on the Windows updates settings after that click on the check for updates in order to search for updates for the operating system if the search has found any update then download it if the download has been finished then restart your computer if this matter doesn't the language and click on the download button if the download has been finished then start the installer now you have to accept the lense and click on the next button then uncheck installed Bing Bar and click on the next button click again on the next button and the installer starts if it's ready click on the Finish button after that click on the other side where you can download the visual C files scroll down here you can see three file please download all of them if the download has been finished install these files you have to accept the lense and the install button click on close install the further files accept the lense and click install button click on close and repeat the process with the last installer click on close and restart your computer click on the search bar and type in CMD right click and run as an administrator type in sfc /can now and press enter wait for the process because it can take a few minutes when it's ready then close the window and restart your computer if this method doesn't work out for you then try the following click on the search bar and type in Windows security click on Windows security choose virus and trade protection now click on manage settings scroll to the button click on add or remove exclusions add the folder of the game by clicking on the add an exclusion button and try to start the game I hope that I could help you
