Fix Frost-Free Faucet that won't shut off

all right let's talk about them cross the cross breed busted your handles not inhale keep turning so this is a stim things you need to know about cross pre handle or across pickpocket stem goes inside the housing and whenever this thing keep started and will shut off it to be in your sin example mine's busted so a couple things that's the case when you got another how these things are linked specific again make sure you get the right link and you have to make sure that you get the red brand so my friend was at Ace and they didn't have a side of water so we got the right lane so now let me show you how you just go ahead and go through it real quick 10-minute job and you can you know 20 bucks and you can get this thing all fit let's do it but it just keeps turning it doesn't stop just keeps turning this screw right here all the way and it would stop it from turning but now it's not that easy it's totally exciting doesn't do it so next thing that we'll go to as we will unscrew this little deed so unscrew this well first off turn off the water to at the brake or at the water valve whatever and then so we'll take off the top and then what we have here is a nut and then we also have this one back here and this one also so we'll get our pliers out and hold on and unscrew this nut on the end and this should pull out this rod to see what's going on so we got loose and you want to make sure that you hold on to this and turn them opposite each other so you just try to pull this it's going to twist this whole thing and break it off this goes so the next we will want to take off this so again hold this hold the base here and we're going to want to create a center washer off so these Frostproof and closets basically have a long system going in here so as you can pull out this will tell me how long my stem is first thing I kind of look at is to see if anything's wrong with this screw and here made such do replace this piece so you got to get a measurement of how long this piece is and we'll go to the store and they also think remember is that these are all all of these are brand specific so you can go to a slows Home Depot they may all have a different brain you get the right same brand or look it up online and order it online because as you can see it's cracked right there so that's why my faucet handle keeps turning because there's nothing to grab - all right back out here let's reverse the order so I have my new stem assembly all right back out to where we started the new stem just reverse the order and we go next and put some plumbers tape on the old frame then we will tighten it back down you want to hold on to the base again so it doesn't turn and then tighten up your night here so we got tightened down next to handles on will tighten the handle and then we will shut it all the way and then go try on the water and see if we get any success water snow leakin better than it was and there we go and that's how you take ten minutes $20 to replace your faucet
