Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
these are cool short films and all, but I really hate that they shoehorn fnaf into every single one. none of the stories feel like they were actually intended for fnaf characters, and they just threw them in as the monsters (or in this case, the protagonists???) so they could get extra clicks from the youtube fnaf kiddies.
honestly, their stuff would be fine if they didn't force fnaf into every single one of their videos. their silent hill stuff was good and fit their style; they should have stuck with that.
Again, the short film fails to provide tension by giving little to no context regarding its protagonist (this time Chica). I get the feeling of all the characters presented so far she'd need the most explanation, being a sentient robot and all. The villain can get away with little development, as they are not the primary character of the film, but Chicago cannot, because the audience needs to empathize with her and thus want her to succeed. Emotional investment is what makes a threat real. There were no stakes here.
Nonetheless the scene compositions, score and soundscape are well done, as always.
I do hope Golden Lane develops their protagonists (or their villains. Most slasher films are built on their villains, so the protagonists don't need as much development) more, else Fnaf Union may be underwhelming.
That was impressive
