Fist look at the New Arctic Fox Edge 27SX

it's Colin at aache Camping Center today we have a 2024 arctic fox Edge The Edge is new for 2024 brand new to the lineup new floor plan a lot of different build and construction on this that'll make it a little bit more rugged than what you're used to Arctic fox Arctic Fox as you know been a local brand to the Grand Oregon for a long time they used to build very very strong rugged campers this is going to be no exception here they've beefed up the suspension they've beefed up the ch they've put a lot of solar on this thing so let's take a look first off we've got larger propane tanks these are the 10g propane tanks each for 20 gallons Al together you get a nice generator rack up top with the bar light on the front and there is one on the back nice solid molded fiberglass front you do have this uh lined it's kind of like a Rhino Lining so any rocks or anything coming up if you're going on those gravel roads uh you're going to have a lot better time keeping that um protected right there again with every arctic fox you do have an iron horse chassi these are built inhouse two specs so they are a lot sturdier but they're also balanced for how the whole trailer is laid out when you're traveling down the road it's going to track a lot better than a lot of other trailers you talked to a lot of Transporters coming in bringing in a lot of different trailers this is going to be uh one of their favorites just from how well it to toes arctic fox really known for being high up a very tall sitting trailer so what they've done here in 202 for is they have switched the coupler to sit from on top to below so that drops at about 5 in if you've had an outdoors RV if you've had a Nash if you've had an arctic fox in the past you know you have to have a riser on your uh truck to be able to hit sit level with that hitch now you don't have to have nearly as high of a riser so when you put your tailgate down you're not going to be smashing your tailgate on that Riser let's come around to the outside pretty standard pass through over here just does go all the way through nice storage throw your camp chairs in there fishing pools tables chairs everything like that got your quick connect battery right there this does come with the auto leveling system nice upgrade for this Edge nice big awning along the side for any you're cooking Outdoors you have even more storage on the side here uh nice and um uh empty storage you can always take these out put in taller items always going to be slam latches on here much better than those twist latches uh you just close it it's easy you're not twisting that key over and over again trying to get that latch in the right spot do have much larger off-road tires on here this is going to sit way higher than a traditional arctic fox do this all I have a more ride 3000 Shackle in the center giving you great suspension underneath so we come around to the door you'll notice the couple stickers over here do have that certified chassis that is that uh handbuilt chassis at the factory you do have the uh 30-year logo so this is 30 years of quality building arctic fox tough trailers now the big sticker right here nice and shiny this is the s x This Is How They tell you how much solar is up top this is a 10 that means 1,000 watts of solar standard that is a ton of solar for this trailer just right off the factory floor on the back got the big fat ladder nice big back window all frameless you can open those up in uh pouring down rain get that air flow going they are dual pane windows perfect for Four Season camping this is going to be an extremely well-built trailer 2-in thick walls all around standard arctic fox build you've got ducted heating heated and enclosed underbelly perfect for taking it up to Alaska taking it to Florida you're going to be warm in Alaska you're going to be cool in Florida down here we do have the 2 receiver on here so if you wanted to put a storage uh rack on there or a bike rack want to bring your ebikes that is a great place to do it one amazing option that you can get on here if you do like your ebikes you can get an ebike charging station as an option on this trailer how cool is that almost fully self-supported you can charge your ebikes go around town it's a great thing to have on your trailer built in let's take a look inside these are going to be the updated more ride steps makes it a little bit easier you can dump out all of your uh uh rocks and Pebbles or whatever that might collect on your um stairs and then when you're ready to put it in you just fold it right up now when I talk about quality in trailers I really talk about arctic fox Outdoors RV and Nash you're getting solid wood Cabinetry all the way throughout if you open up some of these drawers here these are 100 lb slides versus 75 lb slides which is industry standard the bottom of this is even slotted into the side so that's not punching out if you drop some heavy stuff in there you're not going to have that thing falling out the bottom we're talking about high use of these trailers if you're going to be spending long times out camping months at a time these are the trailers that are going to hold up really really well 2024 they updated a lot of the Cabinetry that's been something about back and forth for a lot of people it's going to be a lighter interior arctic fox is known for a long time as a darker interior it is a lighter interior on the cabinets the countertops and the ceiling all updated for 2024 and in addition the cushions cushions are going to be a little bit updated as well they are going to be brighter lighter really open up this space let's take a look at the storage really quick got storage down on either side of of the recliners here up top you've got plenty of deep storage up here books board games trinkets figurines anything that you want to make this place feel like home underneath you do have your entertainment area so you got your stereo uh right here you got an HDMI USB Bluetooth all connected to the same spot nice 12vt TV up top down below if you want to keep maybe a little blanket or something in here here you've got plenty of storage all around even a little slot in here if you wanted to maybe a DVD player or something in there moving into the kitchen let's open up some more cabinets I mean when you're looking at keeping dishes in here you're keeping food in here if you have little bit smaller dishes maybe bowls in there this is where all your pots p maybe some uh plates um go in there and then maybe cups over here down below obviously silverware separator spatulas maybe in there maybe spices definitely not the sewer cap probably don't want that one in there and then a little bit larger drawer maybe for some uh Rags keep the place clean and then a nice big storage down here you can put some pots and pans down there big Preps space really hard solid countertop really nice to work with when you're cooking so that is the living area but let's take one look at some big Improvement for 2024 and that is the fox forward the fox forward is this unit right here I don't believe we have it hooked in oh we do have it hooked in so there's a lot to it but generally this replaces your control panel so you do have your lights uh your pump your uh nighttime if we go to home so you can set this all up so you can see your gray is 0% filled or your fresh is 0% filled your gray is 0% filled your black 0% filled one really nice thing is because this fridge over here they've opted for the 12volt fridge this is going to be much deeper very efficient you're cooling down in way less time than a propane you're also getting a lot more efficient cuz it's an active distribution cold air versus a passive um that means you're getting a faster uh faster use out of it cooling cooler and also um they've ran a few different tests on it uh the First on this furion uh they ran a test that was justce spion off a 75 wat solar panel it ran for about 2 days uh sorry not solar panel off a 70 5 amp hour uh liquid battery it ran for 2 days and then they put 100 watts of solar added to it granted its perfect conditions that ran it for 14 days and then this camper has 1,000 watts of solar so you can only imagine that plus two batteries um you're going to get a lot of time off of this particular 12vt so keeping that in mind this unit with this fox forward package up here you can see exactly it'll read what type of battery it'll also see say how much is discharging and if we go back it will give you a time limit of how much longer to go it's got the solar charger here showing you how much is inputting you've got your battery discharging we're at 100% right now we're not running anything so it can't calculate anything it's just overcharging so let's move forward into here part of that fox forward package is these uh remotes right here these actually are programmable so this controls the lights throughout um you can turn on the water pump you can program it to a few different things there's one in the living area and then there's also one in the bathroom so let's take a look at the bathroom in here in this 27 SX Edge you do have a pass through bathroom so it's a split bathroom you have a ton of storage again on the back side of this you have your outdoor storage more storage down below you put your your towels uh maybe your bath robes everything in there more storage down here more storage down here and even you basically have his and hers storage in the uh the bathroom here same setup on this side um you do get one extra uh storage spot down there again under the sink easy access to Plumbing nice 110 outlet here nice little rinse sink here and then your deeper uh uh medicine cabinet up here sorry actually I stand corrected there are three of them there's one in the bathroom as well so you always have that control around your trailer to have these program to different lights different systems so you can really have control throughout your trailer coming into the uh the bedroom here this is a sliding curtain for the final bedroom and on when you walk in through the uh living room there it is a hard door so it gives you nice privacy into the living area versus uh having a little bit less privacy but still a curtain in between the bedroom and the shower in the toilet area this is going to be a big shower again I'm 6'5 I got to stand up in the little uh Skylight here but I can still stand out pretty straight shower you know I'm kind of moving around maybe bouncing off a little bit again I'm 65 if you're little a little bit shorter than I am this is going to be a pretty spacious shower for you get to the very front here so this is a two slide you have one on a big racking pinion back there that is the dinet and the fridge and a little bit of storage up front you have a smaller one on a swin Tech system this is going to be a deep uh hanging Locker up in the front so longer trips you want to keep your clothes looking nice you do have a nice deep Locker there that's slid out and then down below you do have these pullouts socks underwear bathing suit things that you want to fold up put in here and as always you still have that bin storage underneath if you maybe you have some larger items then we have easy access so under here the biggest things you do have are uh different systems for the solar those are the biggest ones those are on the right those are two solar controllers controlling 500 watts each of solar now the last bits of storage again pretty standard up front you're going to have a lot of the uh storage on either side you do have again your controller up here for lights different systems that you program it to with that fox forward we got reading lights a swivel tilt those are a good uh thing to have when it's late at night you can read your book you got a little space for your phone uh maybe you have a CPAP you can run it out to here you got 110 and 12vt as well as USB 3 uh plugins up front so this is the 2024 Edge the arctic fox Edge 27 SX brand new for 2024 they've moved it into much more of an off-road capable off- grid capable electric let's say forward type of trailer you're going to get into a lot more rugged spots with this as it's lifted up higher you're going to be able to stay out longer because you do have a
