Fishing with the Crees of Mistissini

hi my name is giorgia washes the name of our fishing camp is i washes outdoor adventures which is fishing on the rupert river and also a culture most of my clients come from Montreal and Quebec City area and some of them from the States they fly in from is Disney on a 45-minute flight this is Ray and I'm Wayne and we've been coming up here for the last six years now to the alwah shish camp I think we like it because it's not too fancy it's just enough roughness to it so you feel like you're really in the woods and you really are so remote enough so there's nobody else around and the fishing is good and of course you get all four varieties here lake trout speckled trout walleye in northern pike we also enjoy being here with the Cree Indians who are good hosts we find it very convenient to come here as Wayne said the people are very hospitable it's not outrageously expensive and we drive about 750 miles and one day to get to Sheboygan oh and then the trip is in the next day and you're fishing the day after you left home so you know we get a lot of fishing time in and and it's just very very enjoyable li kui's tasky league is about 176 kilometers long by 40 kilometers wide it's the biggest freshwater lake in Quebec Rupert's River starts from Lake homes - they usually when people go out with the Outfitters they stay overnight mr. C and the following morning they take them up through their outfitting camps right plane or by boat that's the big boat they used to bring their answer this is owned by the coronation missiny and managed by Osprey the outfitters but the camp itself is called louisa yet I'm Robert MacArthur well I'm 86 and I have been coming to Louie Joliet since 1961 these Creek guides know every place that you can catch fish we have caught up every pleasure in the river the Indians should protect the fish don't let everyone carry out all of these catches put the back there doing that we released almost all the fish that we caught the last couple days Oh every year that I come up here is great these tourists 80 come back many of them come every year they like the camps that we have here Osprey and Camp Nou Joliet yeo-hwa sheesh camp so they they really hey like had the service they like the food the guys or they're always satisfied when they leave Oh
