Fishing for Monster Redfish in Virginia

we're back in Virginia we're going fishing for cobia but tonight actually we're gonna be looking for some Jack redfish that's right people been up since 4:00 a.m. just took five hours I got a little energy ran out I'm just jacks I'll see you ready dude let's go [Music] we are here at the spot we got our lines out and we are looking for giant redfish giant or red drum red drum is what they call them here we call a reputation Florida same fish awesome what do you think at least it's not rough over here we got to move a curtain oh that's just a waiting game it's all both moving current right no slack tags like guys terribly slow tides like God they do not feel you thought we got a good moving current here we got no rain thank God I'm supposed to be supposed to rain all day so hopefully in a more doesn't rain either - we're only here for a couple days you guys we got to head back so till we find some fish bhishan literally been sitting here for about an hour rod just goes off tighten this reel up there we go this might be the biggest redfish in my life there's how big how big this fish is gonna have you do he's got a lot of world we were way oh man well under harsh light they tease out 100 yards your buck is at your fancy bucket and there he goes again see this is a big redfish bro dude that's a big that's a just a 25 30 pound finish oh that right there folks dad right to pack it up bites a little slow tonight but we did manage cash back to back personal best red fish which is actually pretty epic forty ingots 47 and 48 huge fish giant bigger than I've ever caught in Florida biggest I've ever seen actually but guys hey I said we gotta get a couple hours tonight so we are gonna head back we've got about an hour ride back and we're gonna get ready for tomorrow Kobe is tomorrow hopefully we find them the fog is insane right now like that as it gets I mean I didn't know if we were gonna hit you know listen roll with it see that job we were seen falling teeth fall in the bridge the whole way up but seriously this kind of weather is unreal for conjuring love you know Manske but like miserable with miserable we reach the waterfall you are the more the better that's the bait dude claws optional Wow look at that claw he's on you dude hey that's the base so how do you how do you hook this bait now show me I do that hook the crab yeah by the way we're using circle hooks for these guys you want to do it right right in the side and run it on the inside that out right behind the swimmer thing right behind this orphan yep perfect and it's not gonna spin in the current not gonna spin in the corner I like it to lay their flat let's throw it out there see here we go boom so this is our drum rig we use it's just a simple fish finder rig just snap so like you slide that actually over your line and they could actually move freely it's a 8 ounce weight pyramid just so stick to the sand better got a bead so the snap swivel doesn't rub up against your you're not there and do any damage to it right to a barrel swivel that's a uni and that's a uni there well you don't need a long leader for the drum shorter leaders or usually prefer just so it doesn't spin in the current and all that this is just a a dough circle and it's kind of offset I prefer the all set hooks just because I don't know I just I've always use all set form but this blue crab female just hooking it in the back fin or under the skin here comes out of the back fin and it's good to go that's your rig he's dumping dude oh my gosh I'm getting a little nervous now that's uh that's the statute turning a little nervous dirty yeah I know I'm gonna tend to brag a little bit how big is this fish dude what the heck is this dude it's the real smoking oh my gosh no no no you just reel so hot I'm gonna get you boy you give it away from me bro no freakin way full drag this is at the biggest red fish ever dude how big is his reverence or the currents are so strong how big is girl from that fish this thing is this is my new biggest redfish this big this is definitely heavier that any fish we caught yet but yes they did oh my gosh we're running on six hours of sleep like no sleep and last like 5060 I mean know how many hours but it's worth it catching fish like this it's Austin you're the man bro let's let's measure this guy and get him back in the water actually I was long as it was last night but he definitely found our 40 46 46 45 yeah he's great at 46 here all right let's let her go here we go boom big monsters good job monsters guys chance fish on a drum hot rod again baby ooh this is a weird fish man oh it's raining dudes oh another big red literally raining as hard as can be doing the net hears that a giant bro this is shorty but he's fat it's a short female and their big ol fat Virginia redfish not gonna lie guys less than a year ago I never knew there even were dried fish in Virginia I mean Austin combs a dude Giants let's let this fish go boom as I was saying dude I didn't you know replicate as far north that's new that I knew didn't in the Carolinas but you know I mean I should put a look at a map they're pretty close but this makes this makes sense this is the end of the road like the bay the breeding ground go open they're just so much food here crabs crabs crabs in there huge they came all they can eat buffet no there literally isn't menu here for redfish if they're on toe stone every one of these pillars here all-you-can-eat buffet time oh hey Sean here we go one thing that Austin i'ma tell you like a lot of donor center they don't understand how much pressure you can actually put on a fish yeah you have good knots and just everything's good and you know how to work the rod wheel you can put some ridiculous on fish you trust your nos to you to mean 65 pound braid 80 pound mono you put some meat on yeah that ain't going nowhere and this fish is getting warm right now there he is there's I got him yeah in a minute get him in get him in in the book boom one little tip when you get in fishing net hoping a bail so that he can pull that line and you do not want that rod bending when you pull that fish in the boat just like that another giant redfish here with four nail sport fishing charters I'm not joking this is a lot of fun we could use slate up like Giants dude I still want to know what we hooked that
