First Tools To Start A Landscaping Business!

tools what tools do you need when you're first starting out so a bunch of little johnny's always messing me on instagram t what kind of little uh tools do i need to start landscaping what do i need what do i need do i need any clothes do i need a weed whacker do i need this simple i'm gonna tell you how to do it right now this is the first place you're ever gonna hear it no one else is gonna tell you this because i'm the best in the business of everything i do everything the best first thing you need besides basic hand tools like shovels and picks all that stuff rakes is you need a enclosed trailer you'd be like why why need an enclosed trailer well here let me paint a picture for you let's say you have a yard right you have a yard everybody starts at the yard at seven o'clock in the morning they pack up all the tools from the shop and then they go to the job set by the time they get to the job site 7 30 okay by the time they actually start working it's eight o'clock you have lost one hour compare that to me no yard no driving nothing seven o'clock they really start working at 7 15 so i lose 15 minutes of work you get that 15 minutes or an hour i have i'm already plus 45 minutes on work completed now end of the day jobs are getting done boys work from 7 to 3 30. your guys will start cleaning up at 2 30 because they have to leave the job site get back to the yard put all the tools away right 2 30 they start cleaning up putting in their trucks wherever they're going to put it three o'clock they're heading out they 3 15 they get to the yard 15 more minutes to clean up boom they're out of there at 3 30. okay that's a full eight hours what does apple would do they start cleaning up at 3 15. 3 15 they clean up put all the away and they're out of there 3 30. peace out adios muchachos later on so now you have lost literally an hour and a half out of an eight hour work day and i've only lost 30 minutes i'm up one hour and that's in a best case scenario worst case scenario you're down two hours i'm i'm down 45 minutes this is why in close trailer is really nice you park it here it stays here done done number one tool after all the basic hand tools they gotta see you're in one you pay twenty thousand dollars for dump trailer oh you're so stupid yeah whatever stupid huh okay multiply this do a simple calculation you go to you bust out your little calculator because i know everyone here is very intelligent let's say you lose on the best side let's say you lose one hour a day one hour a day okay that's five hours a week that's 20 hours a month okay you're losing 240 hours a year because you do not have an enclosed trailer you're losing 240 hours a year all right now let's say you have 10 guys let's say you have 10 employees we're making it very simple 10 employees you're paying them 30 an hour so every hour it's costing you hundred dollars every hour remember you're losing 240 hours a year so you do 300 an hour times 240. you are literally losing 72 000 a year who's a now am i a for buying this 20 000 enclosed trailer or are you a because you're making fun of me and calling me names well why i'm so stupid and why i buy expensive stuff look who's stupid you're stupid i could literally buy two of these every single year and throw it away and i would still be making more profit than you are because you you meet up at the shop every day and i get a tax write-off all right now i'm done flexing on you let's go inside number one enclosed trailer numero dos power tools so look besides the little hand tools like i'm not gonna i'm not gonna sit here i'm like okay johnny you need to you need you need to you need you need a crowbar this crowbar we're talking about tools that will change your life the crowbar is not gonna change your life power tools for sure you need to go out and you need to get the best power tools don't be going out to home depot and getting these little janky ass uh stupid off-name brand power tools you need to get milwaukee devol makita i think bosch is a good one you know all these all these like big name brands stick with those because those will work and make sure you buy them at home depot and make sure you save the receipt because whenever these things the little pieces of garbage break i take that receipt i'm like yo this thing broke and they're like oh you just send it in oh yeah i don't think so give me a new one and they gave me a new one so stuff like this like makita is a good brand for little grinders this is used for cutting metal this is used for you can put a concrete blade on here you can cut pavers like a little little tight corners i like this this is nice okay what is this one i don't know i have no idea what this is that's also a good thing you don't need to know where everything is as long as you have it this is why you have to give your guys credit cards go go buy stuff if you're gonna get into concrete you have to definitely go and get this thing this this is a a rebar cutter this thing is amazing it's like 300 200 i'm not really sure but this thing cuts rebar so well so well there are manual ones where it has a big lever but somebody decided to come on my job site and steal it so i said all right you want to steal it okay you want to play with me okay okay this is a drill there's a drill for concrete okay bosh bosch makes a good one man my hands are dirty don't give me no grief about them uh a bigger grinder [Music] uh electric not electric a plug-in skill saw oh this thing right here you need this for mixing thin set right i own like four of these i don't know why but these are pretty cheap they're like 100 bucks you don't want to be sitting there hand mixing stuff remember like we did with the calculation with the trailer versus you being a and you having your crew drive around everywhere time is money okay one hour cost you 72 000 remember that uh what is this a big one a big big skill saw it's a big one big need a good laser level for sure you need a good laser level you need a good compactor this thing is 2 500 bucks my very first compactor that ever purchased got stolen out of the bed of my truck the very first day i brought something big and beautiful i was so proud of it and it got stolen out of my truck stolen can you believe that like 25 year old t starts a new company right he like saves up enough money goes out and he buys a freaking compactor in the very first day i didn't get to use it i didn't even turn it on got stolen uh there's a couple more power tools i want to show you but we're gonna go see them in use let's go see it come on now that you see the little hand tools the little stuff that we have to use inside the trailer now little johnny's gonna have to step it up and use them like all right enough with the labor because the labor is the most expensive is the most expensive thing on the job site now we need to get some machines because machines save your butt and your employees will like you better there's no question the very first thing you need is dump trailer the very first thing very first thing you need is obviously dump trailer why you're going to have materials garbage you're not going to be able to load it up in your truck and then go to the dump and do that by the way i did that for the first month and it was a nightmare very difficult work you don't want to do that you need a dump trailer this thing right here was 12 grand you can get one for 10 000 and how i got mine is i put it on a credit card is zero percent 16 months these are some of the things that you'll be able to find out and ask me personally and i'll be able to tell you in gokang goking joking how many more times does it tell you get in goking you're costing yourself millions of dollars because you're taking more time to learn something you get what i'm saying it's a no-brainer this thing minimum 7x14 dump trailer this thing will dump it's very nice i recycle these every three years because i can and i i don't like old stuff so i just i sell them and i buy a new one number two goat mobile the goat mobile so the goat mobile is a very powerful little tool it
