First Klutch Kickers Win - 2JZ E36 Drift Battles!

[Music] [Music] welcome to today's video guys uh they did change the schedule back to how it originally was in og clutch kicker so today we'll be practicing for two hours qualifying and then doing top 64 battles to start off the day got the car up in the air actually before that i took some baseline measurements figured out what camber is figured out what toe is front and back there's nothing wildly off so i think the biggest issue was having yesterday is just when the car was driving straight the steering wheel was like turn like this so i'm blasting down the straight i'm looking at my center point and i'm actually holding the wheel to the right and not realizing it so we're replacing a tie rod that was worn out and also re-centering the wheel should hopefully make it feel better and also playing around with the sway bar setups to make the car do some different things on track overall gearing feels good logs feel good so we're just going into today do some leads do some chases and have some fun all right [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] all right first practice session we got a lot of cars out here gonna have a good time made some setup changes and do a burnout and i'll do some drifting you know we focus on filling all the zones going all the way to the ends of the zones and do the things i got to do i got jinge on the mic helping me spot stoked about that i'm gonna pretend this is qualifying and just do the most banger solid lap i can [Music] come on i felt sick i'm gonna pretend this is a top 64 battle because it's likely the type of car i'll end up going up against definitely could be better but every chase i still feel like i'm learning you know all right we got a set of scrubs on uh we did bad math about tire consumption so i got to be a little bit more mindful of my usage and uh plan a little bit better because right now we don't have enough new tires for battles so it looks like i'm gonna be running some scrubs um [Music] [Music] better go there for qualifying i'm gonna do the same thing got some fun excited to watch galette see what she does [Music] all right guys we are two people away from going up and in traditional competition fashion it always starts raining right before i go hopefully it holds out enough um because right now at this rate i think the track would still be pretty much dry uh everything in a car is pretty much the same as i've been practicing on the only difference is i'm running scrubs just trying to conserve tire and make sure you have enough for battles and everything yeah i'm just gonna go have a good time do my best lead i can i love the car feels great on these tires super happy great first round so far rain rain go away come again another day [Music] woe is me all right sight lap here we go drying up um i think we might even get a full dry lap by the time we compete obviously no qualifying i'm not familiar with the way that the person we're going up against drives um but yeah we're just you [Music] poor cletus in his grass the pit situation and moving trucks around with all the rain hasn't taken a while so there's definitely some torn up areas around here it's early we got like a 7 30 a.m drivers meeting gonna load the car do some stuff and then i don't even know if we're gonna have time for practice this morning they're gonna try to fit the whole competition in before it rains again florida likes terrain [Music] no time for practice we're just straight into the first battle and the first ones up so gonna go out [Music] [Music] no belt 250 whole lap no belt had to call a five minute call uh we lost the belt so i did that whole lap with no power steering thing is i kind of like thought about that happening in my head so i feel like i jinxed myself by thinking that uh [Music] [Applause] [Applause] um uh [Music] i think one of the most like underrated and underappreciated things in drifting is like yo both of us just went out there like 8am zero practice laps and just went and hooked it at a freaking banked wall at like 100 miles an hour so regardless i ended up getting the win he made way more mistakes on his lead than i did and i think my chase was a little bit better um he plowed both inner clips i did wash out past the inner but somehow i held together the lap even without power steering so i'm pretty proud of that usually no power steering in a car like this the car is very difficult to drive and it looks like we lucked out so you look down there it looks like we're about to kick another belt so we're gonna figure out what's going on here and uh hopefully win more battles okay bye [Music] [Music] hmm [Music] me oh hmm uh all right so it doesn't matter how much planning you do and how much you fixed on a bill to come out that season and you think you have everything you figured out we came out friday and saturday i have no problems with the power stream system we made adjustments to make it so that this doesn't happen because they flew a belt testing at the compound sat on thursday night put it on had no problems friday and saturday and then today we came in first battle out we had it through our barrel we put another belt on change the tensioner and feel through another belt right after our top 32 bottle battle it just goes to show that doesn't matter how much you read or how much if something is working perfectly doesn't mean you can't go wrong so hopefully i could make this stock system work and don't have to switch to another style pump or anything like that because it's great to service it's easy to put on the belt when it this style when we switch to another system then you got two belts and then it just doesn't make it that easy glenn's about to go out for her second battle she beat her first battle really proud of her her leads been killing it that battle was pretty good i didn't make any huge mistakes it kind of kept me cool because i knew that i had a big gap on my lead run lost power steering again so we're addressing that um oh yeah my ship's not fell off that was funny i got to get a better one of those but i hammered it back on so it's cool [Music] yeah just give you guys an update i mentioned that thing about the people that don't like delivery and like me banning them from the channel my banned list went from a thousand people to 17 000 so if you guys notice a significant drop of subscribers give a little distance there and kind of reel him in on that second outer zone and then just do my thing in the lead run and i think it should be enough for what we need to do trying to drive smart not just drive with aggression 24 7 because sometimes that will uh bite me in the butt so get through this battle and then move on because this is top 16 so then the next battle would be top eight so i'm gonna go have fun and do the thing i'm hot and hungry mmm gummy bears i'm boiling out here it's hot all right calm cool composed distance on the bank reel em in on that outer you'll have some fun inner clip one reel them in on the bank and reel them in towards the bottom remember the hand brakes rotate on the bank don't hand brake pass center clip 2 wheel them in through the rest of the course [Music] hmm oh he lost and i lost power steering oh boy my belt is off my belt is off i lost my belt and literally did the last three corners no handed one more time we got it one more time guys i'm coming back to the pits now get all hands on deck dude this tire change because they're gonna be quick with us on time just gotta do the thing again two three four go zoom go room hit my marks all right [Music] [Applause] um just letting you guys know i'm getting a pretty harsh vibration towards the end of the outer zone 2 apron it appears to be coming from the right rear wheel i don't know if something's loose drive train related but just something to possibly put eyes on when we're doing the next tire change it's like kind of like a rattly vibrating sensation damn he's uh he's taken out so it looks like i got the win on that one pat says whatever we're doing in the pits we got to make it quick you need this back quick [Music] [Music] he's starting up right now and pulling up gotta keep pressure on that uh got to get right up on there high on the bank so i got to be careful coming off the bank give a little bit distance there reel them in and then just glue them through that he's slow across the concrete so just gotta set myself up to probably fall back a little bit coming down from the bank that way i'm ready for that region [Music] then i can attack him into the next sweeper this guy's probably pretty fast off the line too so i gotta be ready for that make sure i enter high can we just dive on the bank watch my mark to handbrake around the uh the downhill section just remember my marks and just drive through the smoke should be good uh hell yeah that was good made a couple mistakes but i think if we do a good lead we'll have it his car is noticeably slower i guess no matter what i was on the podium but i knew i was going to get first that's why i asked for the hat i i pulled a vaughn and i told the universe what was going to happen before it happened and i made it happen we got a belt baby i saw the future and i made it happen pencil autozone get in the zone hmm [Music] hmm [Applause] [Music] stoked for you dude [Music] yeah it was crispy [Music] put to good work all these little bass bars in here i'm glad we didn't get a new rear bumper but like look i got a little scratchy scratch over there this side is my i think my first tail light on the e36 if you guys have a e36 bumper reach out to us because we need one um but yeah shreds also you guys that were saying this is fake this is real duarte actually got this plate i think it's a germany plate from germany like from their equivalent to our dmv it's legit and he paid a lot of money for it and it was a gift to me and i love it so if you don't like it now that i've had a little bit more time to think and my brain is not as foggy um super super stoked on my chase my lead could have been a little bit better on the bank i was a little shallow but overall what got me through today was not only driving smart and driving consistent um i made some mistakes and chases but overall my leads are pretty good i didn't drive with my heart i drove with my brain which is hard for me to do sometimes because i always just want to adore everyone but i try to play it smart we overcame all the belt issues that we were having yohan has a plan to fix it long term um but johan like shredded kept the cart running kept fresh tires on it james was in here micrometering used tires because we didn't have enough new tires and we're like using scrubs and new tires and all the team back home getting the car together last minute marco sean johan mike with the photos and the picture but no it's really cool clutch kicker is one of my favorite series and i came into this not expecting to win with a car that we didn't test at all like shut out jamie dynoing this thing late at night like the day before the competition i did like three burnouts took logs of it i just taking logs and sending him logs on grid and he's like probably at dinner with his girl sending me revisions and stuff i always appreciate that it's pretty cool um he's a busy dude and he has way more important things to do but anyway the car ran great hopefully i didn't hurt the motor we had like probably five or six times that it hit 250 and when i lose my belt i lose my alternator so i know that everything has lower voltage and i'm hoping i don't have a log that uh it didn't go too lean so we'll probably pull the plugs inspect those that'll tell us if we had any detonation if it was like we'll do a compression test we'll inspect the head see if the head's warped or anything gearbox is rad you guys saw on the footage it shifts so good geforce nitto the one son hell yeah appreciate you dude car sick yeah g35 1050 putting it down the tires sick shout out nitto what was i talking about oh yeah i came into this literally just like excited to force myself to practice hard on banks because no one ever drifts on banks unless it's a competition so i always go into formula drift i'm like i don't know how to tandem on a bank but i feel like this this round is really good for learning things my boy i stayed out of the ground out here out of the grass in the money hell yeah appreciate your job dude so proud great first event hey listen the first person i ever told about the freedom factory outside of like my inner group was adam and now he's out here winning the first ever major drift event out here dude i'm a boy a boy yo this guy we i told him we had a tire issue and he was like dude if we need to get a chopper to fly to the compound and get your tires we'll make it happen he's he's down he's committed he's shredded too like i'm really really impressed with his driving i know he's going to come back stronger and harder in the next round he's got a plan he's got another little special secret sauce working out but overall my goal with this thing the car is sick but we weren't able to put any chassis in the car because we can't spin the tire so we basically had the rear end with full compression and we had like no travel to absorb bumps and stuff so i'm hoping we can add some more boost in the mid-range get the torque up and then we can soften a bit but the next round won't be on the bank so uh it shouldn't be as big of an issue anyway overall stoked on the car it's been awesome and uh
