right. Thank you, Sal. We begin this half hour with developing news from the East Bay where fire crews responded to an early morning fire that damaged two homes. KTVU S bailey o'carroll live at the scene in Antioch. With what we know so far. Good morning bailey. Good morning, Pam. This is still an extremely active scene, as you can tell behind me, multiple fire crews still here and the back portion or what was the back portion of this house? You can tell, really completely destroyed by this fire. Some investigators still out here appearing to be combing through what is left behind from that fire damage. I do want to get right to the video of what this fire did. Look like early this morning while it was still active. You can see powerful flames and smoke pouring out of this backside of the home. The video shows almost the entire home engulfed in flames, including some of those flames coming out of the roof here. Now, the cause of this fire that is still unknown at this time, but the man who lives in this home talked to us about the moment that he saw the fire open, the one that leads to the larger room was going to see what it was. And I saw flames and smoke and I closed the door and went and woke up my wife and grabbed the dogs. And that was it. Now, the man and his wife and the dogs did make it out of the house. And e is on scene here. There are power lines right in front of this house. A witness here told us that he saw one of those lines go down. It was still active, though it appears that that they have fixed that issue here. Now, this morning, we've seen people coming and going from the House , taking various items that they appeared to have gotten from inside this home. Now, the total amount of damage that is, of course, still unknown, something that we are trying to figure out here at the scene. But again, lots of damage. The scene still very active, but the cause of the fire still unknown at this hour. Reporting
