FINAL FANTASY 7 REBIRTH Walkthrough Gameplay Part 1 - INTRO (FF7 REBIRTH)

you know it's kind of wild to think that I'm playing games now that are things from my childhood that I never thought I'd actually re-experience again let along with an audience you know but anyways thank you squarex for the game code they actually allowed me to kind of prep early because I knew this would be a long part one I didn't realize it' be my longest part one I've ever done it would mean the world to me if this did well in likes I don't have like a goal but if we do even a percentage of what Final Fantasy 7 remake back in 2020 did I think it's currently at like 84,000 likes that would be insane on this I doubt it happens but you never know that out my hands once I upload it oh yeah one last thing I got some PSN gift cards earlier this year I don't really need them I was going to put them on my account but I decided just give them away so if you had a chance to win either like the video leave a comment of which Final Fantasy game you think needs a complete remake after Seven's fully done if I personally had to pick one I feel like 10 would still hold up nice nine I feel like would be a really cool game to see like redone but anyways love you all let's go and get this [Music] I'm waiting cloud I'm here on the midgar expressway the scene is Indescribable countless buildings have been leveled and part of the road has collapsed the smoke rising from the rubble is reminiscent of a funeral P of course this is only the most recent in a series of crises multiple reactor bombings followed by the fall of the the fall of the sector 7 plate culminating in this unprecedented destruction caused by a massive tornado which swept through sectors 0 1 and two after a briefing with Shinra investigators mayor Domino released a statement declaring the tornado to be quote weather Warfare perpetrated by the infamous Insurgent group known as Avalanche the administration also suspects the involvement of wuai and has begun investigations into the [Music] matter [Music] [Music] of course this is only the most recent in a series of Crisis multiple reactor bombings followed by the fall of the the fall of the sector 7 FL that tornado really did a number onru another re must caused by the Tornado Man when it rains it pours as you can see over there amidst the wreckage of the expressway search and rescue operations are already in progress we still have one to your right ex Soldier armed with a buster sword highly dangerous I repeat The Fugitive is an ex Soldier armed with a buster sword back over here get them on board PR for take the rescue team has our mission is to survey a rundown reactor another one of those Turks gigs fine job's a job I guess where is it nean neim that's where I grew up got some fi in our dwell let's go you take one I'll take the [Music] other wait in the truck no way I got [Music] this he was in a different League from the rest of us neheim that's where they built the first reactor right yeah it all started in the fall something was wrong with the reactor and the whole village was up in arms talk of strange new monsters on the mountain only made things worse people were scared desperate the villagers tried to take care of the monsters themselves but it was no good ended up calling Shinra so the company sent help best they [Music] had home sweet home right right tell me how does it feel I have no home so I wouldn't know uh you still got parents though right a mother named Genova she died shortly after I was born my father whoo there Genova like from the Shinra building yeah don't worry I'm getting to that [Music] why am I talking about this come on let's go hope I didn't keep you waiting I'm Xander the mayor here I wanted to greet you myself to uh welcome you to our humble little town please if you'll follow me [Music] consider yourself off duty till [Music] Sundown all right main menu let's see I was actually kind of curious if they' do like a tutorial type thing again or just like Let It kind of just be you know all right so the free Ro is one thing I wanted to check out more than anything because I was like Curious how they're actually going to do it all right so we got subtitles on the left side from just people talking there's no way you can actually keep up with anything so we pretty much just go anywhere well check it out uh man so many resemblances like the original game like him doing squats on the way to that first area with sepo and then asking to be like the briefed and then Barrett cutting in talking about goova seph's mom like wait and like they did that in the original game too I'm pretty [Music] sure only imagine what their lives must be l so we're just kind of just chilling out now if this was part of the demo I didn't play it because I skipped all the that oh you're level 40 already okay I was wondering if it would have anything carry over uh okay take a look around the end this is like the first area you actually interact with outside of midgar a soldier and you are Rashard Zan a humble traveler of the world and teacher of martial arts to the youth [Music] well toned but lacking Mass you need to bulk up who asked you you could learn a lot from me pass don't be shy I have many pupils your age at last count 12 128 in fact one of them's from this very Village perhaps you know her Tifa sure a real talent that one she'll go far yeah right yeah right got anything to say for yourself I didn't know all right we're at the end let's go I love how they're kind of interchanging in the dialogue cuz he's like telling a story essentially ah hello there all our rooms are reserved for you Shinra boy so take your pick you'll find them just a huh no cloud my my get a load of you and you've only been away a couple of years traveling with the sephra now okay Mr bigshot all right so I wonder if we can actually go upstairs oh we can nice you know it's kind of weird it's like I want to talk about things that are happening or going to happen things I'm excited for but also don't want to spoil the game for people that have never played the original you know I played the original probably I don't I don't know the full thing maybe four or five times all the way through so far as exactly what I was wanting I'm guessing the demo was like part of this where they're actually in this here cuz it was like a sepo and Cloud demo that they presented and I didn't even start it up I was like nope I'm good wanted to avoid everything what do the command menu say Okay spells let's see what we currently got we got cure and items we got 10 mega potions okay and then stuff for the MP think we just like leave the area what does it say on the map let's see so this as far as story goes so you kind of pick between the map and the actual okay fall of a hero chapter one it just says explore okay let's go back man this is awesome probably going to be a very long part one by the way I really hope to see this do well it mean the world me if it did the old water tower this is the one where uh Tifa was at wasn't it so how did it feel being back up there I don't know nostalgic I guess after 2 years away and all that uhhuh [Music] [Music] [Music] now such an iconic thing I think the PS4 even had like a main theme of her up there unless it's a different one I could be remembering it wrong but man this is I'm getting like chills everywhere I go in this game that's like never happened before with any game I feel like stop by my mom's not that it matters sure it does I know I want to hear what happened me too yeah go on um [Music] sure my dad died when I was a kid so after I left for midgar she was on her own was the first time we'd seen each other in 2 years first time and last I'll be right [Music] there CL out is that you hey welcome take care of myself an older more mature girl I could keep you on the straight and narrow and tell you when you're being a silly goose that's the perfect type for you I'd say they are feeding you properly aren't they oh Cloud but you know Cloud wouldn't you agree Cloud you're my son of course I'll always see okay that's enough you know one place I can't wait to see how they do it is the uh red 13 birthplace of was it Canyon I think is what it was called the soundtrack for that area is so good it's like embedded in my brain still after all these years huh you went to my place uh yes I figured you might be there wait a second you two were neighbors we were but it's not like we hung out that much we had our reasons our reasons huh remember my cat her name was fluffy I think yeah she was always disappearing and that day was no different I always wondered how they were going to do this the fact that it's called rebirth makes me wonder what they'll change as far as the story goes unless they don't change anything which there's one thing in particular I hope they do change but I doubt they will we'll see I think that's it we've already explored her residence the lockart residence I like how it said like Strife as well for cloud all right let's check the map out really quick we got is there anything else I can look at General Store we [Music] can't see what's actually sick this going to be a long game I feel like it has to be mega potion mega potion High potion okay now this is going to carry over cuz this is obviously like a a flashback it's just so crazy how well they kind of put it together the first of its kind it really put mble on the map I've seen a few reactors in my time but none with such a breathaking view who could Tire of it everyone eventually man I wish I could go on trips all over the world like you guys trips I think you mean business trips which are no fun at all though you do learn stuff on them that's so cool man the graphics in this game are phen phenomenal I definitely feel like this be like a game of the year Contender based on how it actually goes if they nail it right I feel like this is going to be one my favorite games ever it's like I remember parts of this but other things it's hey not going too fast for you am I of course not slowly coming back to me we're just trying to Pace ourselves as all but I thought you guys were in a hurry even so you'll burn yourself out running like that I'm not even close to burned out not with all the training I've had guess you really are the best there is look how fast you run it's pretty awesome I always wonder how they would actually do like the free roam when you get out of midgar you know let me break some more boxes you get a lot of stuff from this I'm actually curious to yall's favorite Final Fantasy 7 character I mean I feel like cloud and Tifa are probably the two maybe aith as well my's always been Sid for some odd reason seen those near the village and they're not nice incoming attack so press Circle to move out way pretty much a perfect hold on block with perfect timing to render attack ineffective okay going to take some getting used to the combat there we go but might as well just check it out okay you cannot equip uh weapons and armor yep yep it's just like I remember so there were certain things like blue ones that would give you like bonus stuff to certain ones let's see what we actually start out with this is one where you like scan [Music] them okay yeah pretty much training is going to be the [Music] way so it's pretty much just like before the more you use it the better it gets that's kind of the way this whole system's always worked cuz I feel like they've never really had any other way to do it that made sense you know all right let's just check so I wonder let's check out photo mode trying to do all that uh spells so we have all those right now see what else we got inventory wise we're set on we got five phoenix Downs nice buster sword obviously that's the the way it goes okay let me actually change so we got healing material fire ice I wonder does this okay region is just for kuraga okay I had a feeling I was like the same as before right everything else should be fine I think we're pro wait let me go ahead and save my game haven't saved yet I probably should stay on top of that think we're good I want wanted to see cuz we had extra slots down here but we don't have any other ones right what do we currently have we got ice cure fire and then this one yeah that's all we got and it even shows it has clouds icon so they're all equipped we don't have anything else so like there's certain ones you can kind of combine which is really nice okay we should be good kind of all roll for a little bit oh let me heal up that's close enough I'll take it oh here we [Music] go switching modes okay bring it so the one thing about Punisher mode that I liked from the original game is it seemed like it did a ton of damage and it seems like to be the exact same okay [Music] more powerful attacks yep he guards against an enemy's melee attack he cannot ever guard against range attacks or magic let's do triple slash not sure what like The Meta is right now I feel like it's about the same as it was in the first game it was pretty balanced you're done bye got to say that one felt pretty good man playing this is I'm like I've got remember which desk he was on I feel like my team used to be Barrett Sid and Cloud that's how I defeated the emerald and Ruby weapon hey not that way I was just checking out what's over here I wonder showing us the way there's so many scenarios in this game I'm thinking about like how they're going to do it like the introduction of Vincent Cosmo Canyon I don't even know well there's that one moment everybody's probably thinking about how they're going to do it yeah I don't want to like talk too much about I'll just chill got to make a detour through a Shinra facility to think I almost made you our guide good thing I'd Rec considered otherwise you'd have let us straight off a cliff lead on yes has been playing close to an hour and it fills like 10 minutes [Music] Insanity nothing else there all right here we go let's SE operate the terminal I can't see anything there it goes I got some blue Materia okay let me actually go to the equipment thing really quick here's what's weird I don't know if any of this like transfers over leveling boost okay I feel like I should probably cuz it's got to be linked so it obviously has those like different types of Bengals and okay let's just put it there so now I can use the second version of that that's actually pretty cool I thought about putting that on cure but does it really matter I don't know we'll have some kind of offensive type stuff surprised we don't have like lightning or anything let's top that off just for now this is a little bit but it [Music] helps already see some enemies let's go oh my God screamer actually blocked that okay you're done braver for the win hey that one felt pretty good nice getting the hang of the combat again I haven't played the Final Fantasy 7 remake in a while but I remember maxing out all the characters on there as high as it would go you can play like hard mode I think one of the last chapters of the game gives you like a ton of XP all we got a chest right there but I can't can't climb over that oh wait terrain action there we go I should probably use one of those actually uh first things first I just kind of heal up after every combat healing in combat is it could be like a waste sometimes I feel like should give us like 20 there he goes [Music] yep man I'm going to have so much fun covering this game thank you all for supporting this hopefully it does well we'll see I think for Final Fantasy 16 I did like hourong videos I want to make this first part at least 2 hours for sure but there are still pockets of M gas all over the mountain try not to bre in don't bridge that's so sick is when does this game actually stop you know what just happened cuz there's no way this is like the rest of the actual story because getting out of midgar wasn't that far into this is actual sword okay he's got Revival nice so we'll have to not really worry about Phoenix Downs healing Materia magnify that's the one where it does like all the yep he has pretty much magnify I'm guessing yeah so he has ice lightning wind that's pretty awesome do I have any extras I can actually equip oh can't be changed got you let me go back to Cloud since I can actually change his all right so we got HP up it's 10% but we'll just equip it to get it like leveled up and started I think we're good let me uh rest of the bench it's kind of cool they got the bench back here like before you know go playing this game I'm just like I don't even want to cry or nothing but it's like bringing back so many memories you know from when I was a kid I think I poured hundreds of hours each time I actually played off you go okay Switching to a different character can provide an advantage in battle going to take some getting used to the actual man he's so strong what in the world you he's not Invincible in this but later on in the game it feels like he is all right changing leaders I'm going to just keep Cloud as like the leader right now unless he wants me to do that cuz he's already been swapped out hold on let me see if they're both good yeah more MCO gas ahead there's no way around it either just have to go through let's not waste any time moo this thick is dangerous so pretty much there we go piece of cake how they kind of presented this game is awesome I really am happy they kind of committed to making it uh orb of empowerment okay which one is hold on which one is that I feel like this one is the one I don't use a lot what does this say uses bravery okay I'm tempted on equipping that over the other one for right now at least just like level it up oh I didn't see anywhere else you could go over there unless we can climb it gets like really dark when you're like in certain areas let's go back this way here we go I like how the combat's not overdone hold on where are we look at the map really quick try to go over there but the problem is it was says a main scenario what is the question mark and why is it like off the side of the map that's where we came from okay let's go back so saying just go left and you can cut through here but yeah here we [Music] go a moco spring it's beautiful yeah but if we keep using Ma to power our homes Springs like this will disappear right what are you talking about who told you that my dad and the mayor if you must know ex SE the planet's huge Mako will never run out right naturally formed Materia and look at the size of it astounding for the Mako energy to condense into something like this it must have taken an eternity I've always wondered how does Materia let you cast spells exactly how did you ever get to be a soldier to put it simply the knowledge of the Ancients is sealed within each orb that knowledge not only connects us to the planet it allows us to tap into her power that's how we can use magic or so they say really magic sure is [Music] weird I know someone who'd be livid to hear you call it weird or magic for that matter I can just imagine what he'd say it's an affront to science who Hojo from research and development his predecessor was a great man but him he is anything but we should press on all right be where the gas main scenario has been finished all right it's one of those screamers again so here's what I like about this already how much damage does this actually do man he is [Music] insane try to like lock on before the combat actually starts come on well that's that there we go multi-use Menace is just like a dream come true kind of you know it's just uh something I never thought I'd ever get a chance to re-experience any a new light in a way you know what I like about the combat so far is it's just like the last game so the fact that they kind of said hey we're not going to change anything is actually working I like that now we're talking he just does so much more damage oh God we good unblockable attacks okay life siphon it's not going to last long anyways really doesn't matter this I'll be honest if I didn't see the yellow I would be to go there I'm going to be that person it does stand out a lot though yeah thank you all for watching this long video I mean it's a game I've been wanting to cover for a long time and I'm just really happy that it's finally I think I'm wondering is what's actually going to carry over once we go back to like present day and all that which one is this well I can actually equip that for him I think I may take off the level boost is nice I don't know maybe the HP up although 30% at level five would be really nice I think I'll take this one off actually so here's what we'll do we'll remove we'll put yeah we'll do that let's do magnify on that one the healing and then we'll put back on that separated can pretty much combine however you want to when expanded but I wonder this should work for curing right hold on expanded range of Link Materia when ex okay so basically you have a chance to heal both of them for like a smaller amount I'm fine with [Music] that I'm going to keep seov as like the party leader just because we're not going to play as him much after this scenario so we guess want the purple up there wait a minute all right Synergy skills let's see so while guarding with R1 you can team up with allies to perform a variety of synergy skills got you I got your all right all right filling the Stagger gauge come on I'm actually getting cooked right now hold on let me uh he actually has
