Friends, hello everyone. Today we have a homemade product, the base of which consists of such a copper tube, I have two types I chose, the one that is thinner. From it, I measured three segments of 110 millimeters (4,33 in). And then, holding them in a vice and be sure to put on goggles over the eyes, sawed off these same segments with a grinder. With an awl, I flared the tubes a little on both sides, since they closed them a little when cutting. Then, in a hardware store, I bought a couple of meters (360 ft) of such an asbestos cord, it costs 50 ¢ per meter, I will cut off a piece equal to about 20 centimeters (7,9 in), I took it with a margin, the excess will be cut off. The cord consists of 10 small threads, I divide this in half to get 5 threads in each section. Next, I insert the cords into the tubes, since one cord turned out to be two, and the tubes are three, then naturally I additionally cut another piece from the whole cord and also divided it in half, for the third tube. Now I bend the tubes in half to the smallest possible radius so that the bend is not squeezed. The first part of the homemade product is ready, I remove the blanks to the side and take an ordinary tin can, stepping back from the bottom of about 50mm (1,97 in), I make markings around the circumference of the can, and then I cut along the line with scissors. So, now the bottom will be the upper part, I apply a workpiece from a copper tube so that all three bent tubes are placed in a circle at an equal distance from each other. And then I drill holes, first I used a smaller drill, and then a larger one, holes are needed in my case with a diameter of 5.5 mm (0,22 in), just so that the bent tubes fit tightly. I screw up in the middle of long distances and additionally drill holes in 1mm (0,039 in), it should be something like this. Then, threading the lace through the hole, I insert the bent copper tubes into place. I also drill a hole with a diameter of 5.5mm (0,22 in) from the side. I remove the paint with sandpaper. I take cold welding and coat the joints of the tubes with the can, it should be airtight. I glue a nut m6 into the hole on the side. After waiting for half an hour, everything should dry. Now we need another can, from which we retreat a couple of centimeters from the bottom and cut off the bottom. I cut off the excess from the laces, leaving one centimeter below the cut line of the can. Now I connect both parts, but since the diameter of the cans is the same, then in the lower part I slightly bend the edge in a circle, then the cans easily and tightly fit into each other. So, here is almost a homemade product, it remains to experience. For this I have alcohol, you can use methyl or ethyl alcohol, and those who are fond of home brewing can use the so-called heads. I put it in a syringe and pour it into the side hole of the homemade product, so I poured a couple of syringes for 20 cubes, that is, 40 milliliters (1,35 oz) and screw the hole with a bolt. I pour about 5 more milliliters (0,17 oz) upstairs, where the tubes are located and set them on fire. The alcohol begins to boil and the flames heat up the tubes in which the asbestos cords have been saturated with alcohol. For clarity of the process, I slightly reduced the light. The alcohol on top has burned out and now alcohol vapors from the can itself are burning, as the flame heated the tubes with alcohol. The tubes heat up more and more, releasing more alcohol vapor and the flame starts to burn like a gas burner or turbo lighter, giving off a lot of heat. I made such a stand out of a tin can and now I will try to boil half a liter of cold water. For the purity of the experiment, I used a thermometer, which showed the water temperature of almost 13 degrees C (55,4 F), and at the same time I will record the time. Let's see what happens and how much this burner can handle. In a minute it was already 45C degrees (113F). After 5 minutes, the water began to boil and after 7 minutes it was already boiling with might and main. Then I checked the burner and saw that there was still alcohol there and the cords had absorbed something, so the consumption was minimal, I think it turned out to be a very cool thing. Friends, what do you think? If awesome, then like this video. And write in the comments in what situations such a burner would be useful and on what fuel, besides alcohol, will it possibly work?
