I pick tractor power fans this video comes to you from a southern Wisconsin cornfield where a fent ideal 90 combine is harvesting the 2019 crop with a 1230 HS Capello chopping corn head won't even spend time taking a look at one of the largest combines available in North America today this spent combine produced by AGCO features a 485 bushel grain tank that unloads at six bushels per second from a thirty four point seven foot unloading auger we'll also take a look at the combines production history as well as its specifications but first let's set out to the field so you can see in here largest combine available from fent in North America a larger ideal 10 combine has just been introduced for the European market but for North America FN offers a class 7 class 8 and class 9 combine the classification system is based on the combines horsepower rating the class 7 ideal is rated at 392 horsepower the class 8 ideal is rated at 470 horsepower and the class 9 ideal combine featured in this video is rated at 564 horsepower the ideal combines model number designation comes from their classifications so you have the ideal 7 ideal 8 in ideal 9 when T is added to that number such as the 90 we see working in this video it indicates that the combine is equipped with tracks AGCO introduced the range of ideal class 7 class 8 in class 9 combines in 2017 these machines were designed from the ground up and offered some of the largest harvesting solutions in the world the ideal name has an interesting history that dates all the way back to 1953 when the ideal farm equipment company was founded in Brazil a company began manufacturing combines in 1970 in a 1974 signed an agreement with deutz-fahr to begin using the company's designs in 1978 International Harvester made a financial investment an ideal leading to combines based on IHS axial flow designs and the use of the International Harvester name alongside ideal during the mid-1980s the farm equipment market was changing around the world International Harvester sold its agricultural division to tenneco the parent company of GI case in case IH was formed during this same time period Massey Ferguson divested its agricultural division in Perkins engine division in Brazil giving rise to a new brand called max Ian max Ian acquired the ideal combine brand after 10 years of production under the max Ian brand the ideal combine line as well as the Maxine company were sold to the echo corporation in 1996 the ideal series of combines were introduced to the North American market by AGCO in the fall of 2018 and are sold exclusively through Fenton dealerships in the United States and Canada the series was introduced the previous year to the European market and is sold through AG chose Massey Ferguson and fent brands across Europe when it comes to handling large volumes of grain and staying ahead of rainy and snowy weather the fent 90 is the ideal combine this machine is powered by an ma n 15 point 2 litre 927 cubic inch engine rated at 560 horsepower with a maximum power boost up to 647 horsepower the ideal 90 combine harvesting horn in this video and the ideal 8 combine featured dual helix rotors for threshing that are equipped with two 16 foot long 24-inch diameter rotors the ideal 7 combine features a single helix rotor the ideal 90 combine features one of the largest grain tanks in North America this 485 bushel machine unloads from a thirty four point seven foot unloading auger at six bushels per second it takes one minute and 20 seconds to transfer all 485 bushels of grain from the ideal combine over to a grain cart or waiting truck the ideal 8in ideal 7 combines come standard with a 350 bushel grain tank and a 31-foot unloading auger that moves the grain out at 4 bushels per second the list price for a fent ideal 90 combine is seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars this is a major investment for our farm but when you're trying to bring your crop in before rainy weather snowy weather or other inclement conditions set in it's far better to have made an investment in a big piece of machinery than to have thousands of acres of crops sitting out in the mud or snow and
