road i'm gonna ride yeah it is dining snails [Music] oh yeah this is straight up sampling that's funny because the actual nine inch nail song kind of just sounds like a sample pack it's almost not like they copied a song but they just took something that already sounded like something you'd buy off of a royalty-free website by the way i should mention that this video includes interpolated and real samples like interpolated is like when you kind of reconstruct it or copy something while a straight-up sample it's the actual audio from another song cause ever since my acon lonely my whole life came crashing oh yeah this melody i really like how that sounds though the super pitched up version of that that's a fun sample [Music] i'm mr lonely i have nobody [Music] for my own i'm so lonely i never heard the original of that that yodelling is funny wish i had someone to call on the phone that's really funny i always think of those rhymes because they're so basic like call my own call on the phone i'm alone when writing songs you will definitely stumble over those words more than a few times the one i always avoid is the phone one but i think i actually used it in a song let's this that makes it uncreative to me is that it's an instrumental part in the old song and then you just put that as an instrumental part in the newer song you're not adding anything at least like akon and stuff sang a little bit over it and stuff i guess madonna's hanging a little bit over it but first there's a full-on turn like eight bars or something of only exactly this pretty much with like slightly more hard hitting drums like abba so funny gotta love those knob moves no one would move knobs like that he's like doing this on the eq module i think which is like that would make things sound crazy editors do that type of eq moves on my voice right now ah no one does that by the way i'm trying to save up to buy rednecks so please buy the shirts they are on sale right now for the orchestra the last time never heard of [Music] that's not exactly the same though you can kind of hear the melody in there but it's not playing that they're also not doing the suspended four if you hear in the but in the old version they're just doing instead of so yeah there's quite the amount of change they actually did there [Music] right there they did it okay okay so bittersweet symphony is based on a sample it uses from the andrew luke oldham orchestral cover of the rolling stones song the last time and involved some leaguer controversy surrounding a plagiarism charge as a result mick jagger and keith richards were added to the songwriting credits and all royalties from the song went to former rolling stones manager alan klein what surprising i just remember hearing that song and thinking dope [Music] this must be an indian sample though [Music] [Applause] [Music] right okay donna summer love to love you baby what's happening did you guys hear that just in my head was probably just a man never mind nothing happened in the left speaker there we go justin bieber's love [Music] me i'm not a justin bieber hater but whoever came up with this idea and made it this like stupid triplet b i don't it's so bad it kind of ruins the original [Music] i also love the super synth toms and then like having a picture of him playing drums it's not even in a good register for him to sing what were they thinking love [Music] this has a swagger to it at least [Music] but he added this like kiss me kiss me and stuff right they didn't have that in the original next time we got drake's hotline bling i think these are little trump things [Music] this song is actually a bop though yes swag me in the family photos [Music] where do people find all these things to sample it's crazy it's always obscure stuff so yeah that is straight up sampled and i guess sped up time stretched and cut around a little bit but you can definitely hear it next up we got dj khaled featuring rihanna wild thoughts another one another one santana right we the best music disagree i don't know if you could take it no you wanna see me naked naked [Music] is that the lamest verse rihanna has ever sung listen to that what is that oh i hate it i love all of rihanna's stuff i think it's amazing but this is bad this is whoever wrote this needs to be that guitar sounds so bad too it's oh there's like a weird overtone in it usually when you sample things you make it sound like more updated more hi-fi better mix but somehow they made it sound worse [Music] yes the original guitar sound actually sounds better i mean it doesn't sound amazing but still it's a lot better a lot less harsh on the ears [Music] okay dr dre featuring snoop dogg corrupt nate's dog the next episode [Music] such a good beast david mccallum the edge [Laughter] that was a great one they made that beat a lot better as well i love that they really took that into totally different space next up we got ariana grande break up with your girlfriend i'm bored and that is the [Music] sample [Music] these melodies [Music] i can't believe that that's so dumb literally the same lyrics as well they kind of just rewrote the lyrics slightly for ariana like stuff like added trippin like some cool little contemporary words but overall it was just the in sync song that is hilarious i love that okay guys click
