Familiar faces at the EJS Expo 2021

hey fam welcome to jack to jeep so today we're in moab and we're actually out here at dixie four-wheel drive checking out the expo seeing what all is out here just kind of looking around see we run into i need it all [Music] [Music] [Music] six figures what's the goal nice nine or a hurt at work used to pull up not swerve no time for the snakes trying to put them in the dirt that's work i gotta get it it's in my dna you only see the highlights don't know what it takes last year stressing [Music] [Music] gang bang gang man lost some friends said the same thing keep a low pro when we maintain find us in a lot somewhere kicking back kicking back find your own computers type into the facts you lose the follow through twitter twitter i lose [Music] you better get it back by any means [Music] [Music] all right guys we finally found the 999 card i mean you never know until you try right yeah that's the kind of thing we always try to inspire people to you know yeah yeah that's fine take the step take the risk like i mean you're not gonna you know succeed if you don't try no exactly that's how we ended up where we are you just well there's a lot of dumb things yeah a lot of opportunities the younger you are the more risk you can take right you have more time to fail the younger you are if you start when you're in your 40s or 50s you don't have very many times no exactly i'm almost 50. yeah start your teens or early 20s yep fail try again fail try you literally have bounced back a lot easier yeah when you're older and you have more obligations or financing we started i was like 35 when we just like decided to take this risk which is like kind of in a good career and it was like oh man i've given up a career to try but so that's kind of where we're at what's up you guys this is video we have a video on it okay so basically you have your soft shackle on the end of the line okay so you gotta hook up somebody you do it right now you can get out there rent it out hook up and be done but let's say maybe they don't have uh they don't have an anchor point or you can use a soft shackle they can come down here and wrap their bumper okay or you can come down here and wrap a tree yeah and then you're deleting you know the whole point of why we went to the lynch rope to begin with was to delete metal right so we didn't have cable coming our base don't have hooks going through our back windshield i've had that happen to me you know so now you have no metal in your life even when you're doing a tree save for nine percent of time you do a tree saver with a clevis now you've added metal back into your lock now you've added that danger pack this stuff just drops when they're coming out for purchase so so right now we're working with our pre-production and once we have enough orders to do it then we're kicking it out so i mean obviously we're going to kick it out no matter what people order it but hopefully we're trying to get as many just in the market for a new a clevis who's got soft right now that's the best part about it i think that for me as a guy who's been on his side been on his lid like i like to get back over now we saved somebody yesterday that was a tour group they they came down escalator and got in trouble and started lifting up like this people in the back like freaking out because they're tourists they've never done this what are you other big thing for me too is the whole reason when these lines came out 20 years ago you know the whole point was to delete the metal right to delete the danger factor the crowds though that's the problem they're not that busy there really isn't yeah there's there's more vendors and more like manufacturing companies than [Music] you know as a beginning youtuber and a wheeler you know how do you get involved in this like for me it was a way different approach like i was part of the industry before this i i own my own off-road business with helmets and gear and apparel that's how i got started actual offroad for those who know uh that's how it got started then a couple years later me and my dad actually got together and we created uh something called the unlimited offroad show which was a trade show that traveled all over the country and that's kind of how i got into the industry how i met vendors how i kind of got a name for myself in that time frame i built the jeepster and you know kind of so i i was part of the industry and had a gp did this for 10 years almost before i ever started a youtube channel okay so i would say i had it a little bit easier because i had connections i knew people everything before i ever started taking a camera i would say that yeah mary and bob yeah yes they love you and your parents yeah yeah they actually showed me pictures of your folks yeah so yeah i talk to them every week awesome awesome yep that's who i kind of go through okay yeah well you gotta you're in good hands yeah i don't know the um cj i just burned the transmission out on it so they react 36 inches of snow oh wow and i was pulling emergency i wanted to i wanted to get with bob i want him to take me snow wheeling in wyoming oh i'll tell him i'll message him on facebook tonight like i said i talk to them yeah four or five times a week yeah come on with us let's let's let's do that planet maybe i don't know what's a good season for that um well it just depends because like right now we just again we just got 36 inches of snow where you can get another snowstorm in may right but like like later in the year well it depends on the trails i mean wyoming is hard to go into because blm closes everything up they close everything so the best bet would be like go to colorado yeah even better i know a bunch of people yeah we can maybe make that happen all of that [Music] oh look at that well it's funny when we [Music] built did you guys all want to get in i could take it for you here we go [Music] oh it's basically fam we're here with brad from trail recon and marco his personal chef he's my wingman he's wingman anyway i'm just wondering brad how did you get into the youtube and kind of grow your channel and stuff uh well youtube wasn't something i saw coming my son and i the first time we went out wheeling uh he was on his phone in the in the back seat filming uh out on the trail and i didn't even know he was filming until on the way home he was in there editing a little video putting it together and he showed it to me i was like that is so cool let's do that every time we go out and so it was like a video diary for us and so that's how it kind of started we weren't really we didn't have a youtube channel there was no trailer recon we were just making videos and having fun and then people asked you know like where'd you go do you think you know my vehicle could make it was it difficult you know what you do to your rig so we just started trying to make videos that were you know informative for people and interesting and first you know videos were terrible straight up i get that they were horrible but you know we kind of tried to figure things out we were still learning we try to make it better each time so that's kind of how it all started nice kind of the same way my son and i did it right so yeah he uh went to a state convention in seattle for team high school tv teach me how to do this teach me how to edit right yeah kind of the same thing so what would you recommend to someone just starting uh i think the hardest thing um that people have to overcome is just doing it uh just doing it because it's a lot of work and i'm speaking to my brother here right now who does some amazing cooking videos but i would love for him to make more and so it does all his fans but it's a lot of work isn't it it's a lot of work it's a lot of work i'm planning on getting making more videos i think the biggest challenge for people is they want to be on youtube and they want to be famous and that's the wrong reason you do it because because you love whatever it is you're doing whether it's off-roading or cooking or you know building a house or whatever it is you do it because you love doing that thing and you want to share that with people but you have to know going in if you want to make a video one it's going to slow you down like cooking takes longer building you know putting a lift kit on your jeep is going to take longer and then you got out and you got to edit it right and so there's all this work that's involved in and if you put in the time and the effort and the work you know you'll have success but you got to do it all right marco how do you learn how to cook so well i think my mom taught me a lot okay and i've always been cooking for my daughters i've got three daughters and i still do it it's just
