Fallout 4 - The 2023 Ultimate Graphics Modding List! (Wabbajack Tutorial)

list so this is pretty much a refresh from the mod list I've created earlier this year in 2022 but by the time you are watching this it might also be 2023 if you're watching this a few months after I did release this video so it's a bit of a redesign of the mod list and the biggest change and biggest Improvement is that we now have a Whopper check out of installers so there is no need anymore to download all the files manually you now once you have finished the web check Auto installer you will have a completely set up mod organizer too with all the correct load orders and mods also also the correct uh any changes you know with all the extra codes and stuff so there are other only a couple of things you need to do now which really makes your life a lot easier when it comes to mudding so to quickly go over what has been improved better graphics we have a brand new EMB which looks really really good especially with all kind of weather types so you're not dependent on either yeah bright weather or something better frame rate and stability especially in cities uh in my old mod list there for some reason there was Sometimes some inconsistency in the frame rate really weird but that's all been fixed now a lot looks a lot better the old lot looked pretty horrible to be honest a lot has been built in the mod list so no need to worry about that yeah also no more extra tools are needed no more external stuff everything is done in this rubberjack mod list so it's all really been easied up uh yeah you have I will show you this later a better overview of what's been listed with if you with a better overview of what it's been installed with uh with spacers I'll show you that a little bit later um and also easier to add and install your own mods so gameplay stuff weapons armor everything you can imagine and also it's easy to deselect the much you don't want an example A lot of people don't like modern weapons or armors and for that it's easy to just with a simple mouse click deactivate anything you don't like so when it comes to fixes yeah well we have uh fixes here like I said the performance and lot inconsistency and also a lot of secrecy desktop issues has been fixed now and also a minor uh your a micro stutter when switching weapons has also been fixed so well if you open up this mod page and I'll try to go a little bit quick through the instructions because normally I'm pretty long when it comes to storytelling at all if you open up the screenshot you will have everything in a bigger resolution so you have a little bit more of an idea what you can what you can expect from the end result so I would say let's scroll a little bit down here we have some example videos system requirements please take note that the entire mod list with everything takes up 150 gigabytes at least and that does not include the game itself so make sure if you're using an SSD that you have lots of space available for this for this installation um yeah like I said so this guide is mostly focused on Graphics texture quality um and yeah I have some mandatory gameplay mods but if you would like to add your own mods you are freely to do that but please keep in mind this is system requirements you really want to have a GTX 1080 TI or better to have a really smooth gameplay and everything so but I think nowadays a lot of you guys probably have at least a GTX 1080 TI right yeah I would say let's go let's continue um first of all you want to make sure that your Fallout 4 is clean and with clean I mean uh you don't want to have uh yeah old mod files old mod managers which are interfering with your current new Fallout 4 uh well modded version we're going to install so with that please follow these steps and I would like to point out if you have never modded your Fallout 4 then you can skip this you don't need to clean your Fallout 4 from modding because yeah you already have a vanilla Fallout 4 so that's a good thing okay so um well to summarize everything what you want to do is get rid of your current mod manager if you're using Vortex or uh I don't know some non-portable version of mod organizer too delete everything make sure you delete also the user files in example mod organizer has some user files in the updated folder make sure you get rid of them and then what you also want to delete is the remaining stuff in your Steam folder steam apps come in Fallout 4 so where you have installed Steam and also we want to delete the old any files and that is here in your user folder and windows documents my games Fallout 4. um and if you do not have a steam version so I don't know if the Fallout 4 is available on Gog but if so make sure to create a backup of the save games here it's under this folder as well then once then you want to remove Fallout 4 and also yeah that's what you did right so we'll remove Fallout 4 delete the old um stuff here from Steam yeah the the remains which might be there delete all ini files and then you want to um yeah reinstall Fallout 4 and steam once you've done that you want to go to your Fallout 4 launcher so the first time you will launch it here versus Fallout 4. when you play it if the launcher will start set every setting to maximum so I can actually show you that I think uh I hope I'm not sure I think the launcher will start yeah so you want to go to options you want to set this to the best quality uh a you can set to Max and then on Advanced make sure you have everything set to ultra as well also these settings hpao plus Ultra and you want to keep weapon debris off because it can generate some crashes also set everything here to the maximum as well and once you've done that you are good to go you want to now start the game at least once uh I don't know if you have some vanilla saves load that one up and then immediately close the game it's this just that the any files will be generated so then you are sure that you have a cleaned Fallout 4 a brand new vanilla Fallout 4. then we can proceed with the rubber Jack list so what you want to do is right click here on this setup file from the wabijack um yeah I already had it open you want to download the webjack.exe and save it somewhere uh yeah where does real matter can we are your desktop or whatever and then you also want to download on my files section my Waba Jack file with all the mods and all the things you're going to need for the ultimate Graphics list in this wobjack file so you want to download that one as well you know maybe save both these files in a folder somewhere where you have easy access to if you would like to know what is actually inside of my wabichack mod list so which mods we're going to use which load order maybe even links direct links to the mods you can download this file under miscellaneous files mod list in detail it's an Excel file with all the plugin load order of the mod load orders etc etc so a complete file for you if you don't want to just try the weberjack mod list and you want to see what's in there first Okay so now what we're going to do you want to first open up your webjack.exe so the one that you did download and click on the gears icon here and then you want to log into Nexus mods so um I really recommend to use a premium Nexus mods account because then everything is really automated so yeah if you don't have premium then you can maybe you know have a one month premium for a couple of Euros or dollars and to just for this Waba Jack mod list that you're able to download everything automatically and full speed then you want to click on here install from disk and it will open up my two readme files you want to for the Target mod list you want to search to the webjack file and just to be sure on this the um let me show you if you did download my Waba Jack file here you want to extract it first because it's coming compressed in a RAR file and then once you extract it you will have the Waba Jack file so don't forget to do that because if you try to mount the uh the compressed file it will not work so extract this file here and then you will have the Wabi Jack file which you can Target for the installation location you want to be sure to not install it in your Fallout 4 game folder that's sounds a little bit confusing but keep in mind this this mod list will be attached to the Fallout 4 main game folder that's a little bit how mod organizer works it will load the mods along the main game from Fallout 4. so do that and select a folder somewhere preferably on the same drive I have to say that for a same SSD so create a folder something like wobberjack install packs like I have here name it Fallout 4 or Fallout 4 pret caliber pack something like that and then click on the play button okay so then what it will do it will download all the files everything the load order and it will uh organize and initialize the portable mod organizer 2 version with everything installed all the evening lines being set all the load orders are correct you don't need to do anything except for weight it will take a long time it will download probably 160 gigabytes of files and textures and mods so yeah you know you want to do this either when you're going to sleep or when you are away from your PC for for a while to have this running all right cool once we've done that let's see what we need to do then so I would like to point out there is a big chance that you will Jack might feel the reason for that it is need to download all these mods and it could be that one mod is timed out or something or the Nexus servers are slow something like that it could be that for some reason yeah it will not work and that installation says filled if so don't worry you can click on the back button and re uh re uh reset it retry it again so everything which has been already installed and downloaded it will just skip of course directly and it will continue with the files which are still remaining so you have to do that a couple of times in order to have everything installed it's a little bit Yeah annoying I can understand but uh it is what it is if for some reason it doesn't still doesn't work you still have issues what you can do a couple of um yeah fixes for this is to go to log out the login to your Nexus mods account or to completely reboot your PC that can also sometimes work and once everything finishes you will see something like this so that the installation has been completed now you want to wait with starting the game because we need to install a couple of things manually so first what you want to do is you want to check um that your installation works so once you have once you receive this window you want to go to the yeah the place where you have your Waba check installed so then you should should see something like this you should see this file structure what you want to do is you want to right click here a model organizer and create a shortcut to it through your desktop somewhere because this is the tool we're going to use from now on to launch Fallout 4. and you should see something like this so like I said everything here under the spacer so here you will see the mods which have been installed so an example here the core mod files the big textures a lot overall files the landscape mods water mods gameplay Essentials PC and NPC mods custom armors custom weapons and that's it and here on the right side you have all the plugins in the load order um there is one thing don't be scared of this this is a notification that it is this is a missing Master this is because this is a very old mod which is not necessarily needed anymore and yeah it's it's so much shade it's a hard requirement but it is actually not so don't be scared if you see this notification so this is what you should see from now on and while we were here I would like to point out if you don't want any of the mods so you can see perfectly what what is so an example I don't want any custom armor uncheck all these mods and if I don't want any custom weapons uncheck all these mods you know that's it but I will come back to that later first of all let's continue what we need to do so you want to create a shortcut to your Fallout 4 main game folder so here also the mod organizer that you can see create a shortcut to that and create a folder somewhere we name it manual mods then you want to download The Fallout 4 script extender so go here and then you want to download The Fallout 4 runtime 7-Zip archive that's the first file you need to download then you want to download the EB core files so open up the EMB binders here and also you want to download the reactor EMB itself so you want to go here and download here the amb binaries and under reactor EMB go to files and go here download this manually as well this Fallout 4 EMB reactor EMB and that with that we actually have all the manual files we need to install so what you want to do now you want to go you want to have this window open so this is your now sorry this is not true you want to open the following folders The Fallout 4 main game folder so in your steam Library steam apps come in Fallout 4 that's the first one you want to have opened and you want to have your manual files open so yeah the stuff we did download manually first of all you want to open up the Fallout 4 script extender so um let's see and you want to open up the folder and you want to drag and drop everything what's in here to the main game folder so I already have everything um I think I have yeah so I'm not going to override it myself but make sure to drag and drop everything here in the Fallout 4 main game folder in the meanwhile uh close mod organizer 2. because we need to re it needs to refresh in order to detect Fallout 4 script extender I'm going to explain later more about that then we want to open up the EMB binary files so open up this folder that you did download as well open up this folder wrapper version and select only these sorry these two files d3d11.dll and D3 D compiler underscore 46 e.dll drag and drop them as well in your Fallout 4 main game folder and again I already have this so I'm not going to do that for the rest leave everything as it is last but not least we need to install the actual reactor EMB itself so what you want to do is open up the folder then open a main file open up this Fallout 4 folder and from here drag and drop all these files in here and yeah again I already have all the files so I'm not going to install those files then you want to open up uh optional and we want to check this folder patch eBay let's overall well what it pretty much says here um you can go to the EMB series folder here in your Fallout 4 main game folder then you want to go to the setup.ini let's see here it is and you want to um set this this line here in B light fetch you want to set the zero to one so change that to one and then save the text file and then you can close it and that's pretty much it when it comes to all the manual stuff so that was relatively easy wasn't it um okay so what you want to do now is open up your mod organizer to program which was been installed with a rubber Jack uh One auto installer where you have now probably created a shortcut to open it up again and now you probably have if you click on here maybe there is Fallout 4 or Fallout 4 launcher if you click here you should have this icon F4 SE from now on only launch the game with Fallout 4 script extender so only launch it via this icon if you do not see this icon you want to click on edit and you want to add the with the plus icon this this Fallout 4 script extender how to do that well click on the plus icon like I said name it something like f4se the binary is in your steam apps come in Fallout 4 and it's been called this F4 SE underscore loader.exe and it starts in the Fallout 4 folder so if you for some reason it's not showing up here in the list that's possible from now on you want to launch it from here while we are here you want to also check the Fallout launcher again because probably settings might have reset the default so run it here Fallout 4 launcher click on options adjust the resolution adjust traffic filtering 16 samples click Advanced make sure you set this again hbao plus Ultra weapon debris if off a depth of fields yeah you can uh change this I don't know by the way why this is now so low but anyway you want to set everything at maximum press OK press OK and then you can exit don't launch it via Fallout 4 you want to launch it via Fallout 4 script extender all right so what do we need to do next last steps reboot your PC and that is to make sure that yeah you have cleaned all the hidden files and tasks from your windows and RAM um that really can help a lot sometimes again like I said make sure to go to your mod organizer too because from here on we want to launch the game only with Fallout 4 script extender so what is important what you can do here is click on shortcuts and then you can create a quick shortcut from here as well and rename it to Fallout 4 or something you know if you're confused a little bit but only remember only launch it via Fallout 4 script extender um a good last step is now to also disable steam overlay so um yeah you want to go to your through your Steam folder right click Fallout 4 click updates and only update this game when I launch it the funny thing is we will never launch it anymore because steam doesn't detect the game as being launched once we launch it with follow for script extender but it prevents if the game ever gets updated that some of the mods stop working so an example Fallout script extender will probably stop working once we have a game update you know and some mods which require that specific version of Fallout 4 script extender might complain about it and you don't want to do that you want to have it as it is so you want to have this um yeah set to this only update this game when I launch it we're almost done we now need to go in game to uh change a couple of things and then also I show you all the stuff and features in game so reboot your PC do that first then once your PC has been rebooted open up uh steam open up that mod organizer too and relaunch your game with Fallout for script extender either via here or create a shortcut to that and then once you've done that I will see you guys in game first of all don't be surprised that it might take a minute or something before the game has actually been started so it could be that you see one minute of black screen don't be uh yeah don't be alarmed by that that's normal so do that and then I will see you guys in game hello hello and welcome in game so once you are finally in the game and everything launched you will see probably immediately a huge effect in the uh Graphics well it could be that you have a little bit of slow performance so there are a couple of things we want to do first and that is by going to your uh inventory and you want to find this item the neck X settings menu what you want to do is uh set this under a favorite button because yeah it's really handy tool to an example change weather as well but we now want to to adjust some settings so make sure you um you have it uh yeah under a hotkey and then open it up first thing you want to do is click here enable neck patch 3MB for you probably you have this option enable neck patch if you for some reason see disable neck patch that means that the patch has already been activated then you probably have pretty poor performance and for some reason that's being um yeah the the culprit here is the volumetric lighting so you want to definitely try to disable volumetric lighting and probably then you have a huge amount of FPS back again so for me that's really did the trick to uh yeah you know because I had horrible FPS disabling the volumetric lighting did a trick for me but I don't know it's up to you of course feel free to check out for the rest that's pretty much it you can now explore the world of Fallout 4. um and yeah when it comes to Modern weapons and armors you can create them here at the workbench it's going on we're being attacked it seems okay and as you can see uh yeah these enemies also drop modern weapons but again you can disable that in the mod organizer 2 menu but here in the chemistry station you know you can across all kinds of weapons and and armors modern stuff if you like that as well so and if you want to modify weapons you can do that [Music] um here at one of these what is it weapons workbench you know you have all kinds of attachments it's really really cool you know you have all these many options stock sites pistol grips suppressors laser sights even colors that kind of stuff you can all do that here um some handy console commands if you want to test out things the first one is set game hour so an example if you want to have it night you can set the game hour to I don't know 2 A.M or something and then it will look something like this as you can see that's really handy you're able to see the uh the lighting really cool here as well so we can change that back to 12 in the afternoon when it comes to weather effects you can also go to your neck X menu and if you go to neck weathers you can do a lot of things you can adjust climate in Seasons but if you just want to play with weather I would say select and manage Weathers an example if you want a very bright sunny weather you can just click clear sky load the selected rather as you can see it's really cloudless day now really cool but so yeah you know there are also a lot of options in example if you just want to test it with rain and to show you that all the weather effects look pretty cool and pretty nice with this stuff you go to ring what is it spring rain and here you have to drop effects on your screen all that stuff it really really looks good same also apply an example for fog weather so select manage weather [ __ ] an example sunny [ __ ] that also really has its nice effect and yeah it just looks so cool so if you want to just uh you have a random weather you can do that as well so now dark rain has uh has been set or I love some overcast weather like this you know um but yeah that all works perfectly fine um so another if you want to test out things what you can do is type in t detect and this will automatically disable AI for All Creatures which means you don't get attacked and don't get any interaction so that you can mean you can freely run around the world of Fallout 4 you know blasting weapons all that kind of stuff and another one TGM gives you gut modes and unlimited ammo if you want to mess around with that and if you want to have all map markers shown that's TMM space one but only do this of course for Test games if you want to test out things and yeah for the rest um I would say have a lot of fun there's only one thing and that is the audio overhaul for uh gun sounds so uh let me show you that I need to increase my volume a little bit so if I open up the master volume and if I would turn down this REO Ambience all the way down you will hear the weapon sound something like this [Applause] oh the Reverb sorry after wrong slider three two one here you normally hear the weapon side something like this but if you open up the slider then like this you will hear the echo from the gun science [Applause] and I think that's a really cool effect but if you don't like it for some reason you know feel free to disable it one last thing I have uh all tactical reload patches what that means is um an example if I empty this G3 as you can see it needs to eject a new round in the chamber and if I still have some rounds left in the magazine and I reload you will have the quicker magazine swap which is way more better for reloading and combat so now for weapons with which supports tactical reload um so an example if I just shoot a couple of rounds and I reload it's just a simple magazine Swap and if I empty discourage click it needs to put a new round in the chamber but it doesn't do this animation now for just a couple of rounds when reload so you can just have a quick magazine swap swap as it is happening in real life so for the rest that's pretty much it it's um yeah also as you can see here I have the enhanced blood textures you know really nice and gory stuff and I would say for this explore the game it looks absolutely wonderful the texture quality is amazing the lighting quality is amazing amazing the performance is fantastic also here you know nature textures grasses very high quality trees all that kind of stuff I really love the game it's very very stable for me um that for the rest there's only one little little issue that is the water reflection but strangely enough that is something which is quite common for normal games I encountered this in uh Far Cry 6 and also in the new Call of Duty as well with water which you can see the water looks good looks okay but um once you are looking you can see the reflection here and this is something called screen space reflection if I'm not mistaken it's very hard to get rid of but yeah again I I saw the same in Far Cry 6 as well uh so yeah you have to unfortunately look a little bit through that but for the rest hey enjoy this game I
