FALL WEEKEND IN ZERMATT | Gornergrat Railway Bahn Views + Beautiful MATTERHORN hikes

hey guys guys we are back in zermatt so if you have been following this channel since the beginning like and subscribe if you have not our first video actually ever was in vermont and we went there much earlier in the summer and now we are back in the fall yeah so in the fall you can see behind us you can see the material and beautiful fall colors uh and we're going to go to the golden grads this time and do a little hike in fury so we're going to show you some other gondolas and trains and we're going to explore this weekend yeah so much through the season so let's go okay louie's going to show us on the map yeah so we are here in the mat we arrive with a train we're going to take the golden hat train which goes all the way up to the groningen the view we might actually stop in rottenborden or rifleberg to go see the rifles okay so right near the train station very very close actually like oop just spin around you have the corner grab van [Music] of course [Music] [Music] so we are in hotel boarding which is the station just before the golden rat and we're going to hike down to the rifles and rifleberg and then we'll take another train up yeah and i can feel it's we are like 2 800 meters uh high so it's uh actually i can feel that there's less oxygen already but uh yeah look at this and the one so we wanted the snow but with the snow we actually have a frozen lake so usually there's a very nice reflection of the rifle on the mataron or the mataron on the rifle but we'll still hike down and uh we'll show you pictures of what it looks like usually so ready to have our little picnic yeah we improvised because the lake was frozen our original plan was to go down there but no problem we found a rock it's actually quite nice with the sun you don't really need to wear a jacket so we're gonna enjoy up here before we head up to the top yes we have the little station just here we can even see from here the next uh departures thank you very much and bon appetit so alexis is witnessing that there's less oxygen in here she's not that used i i'm used to go skiing etc so that's fine ish still still uh feel this scarcity but she is not loving it but we have a beautiful view of metal so we can see the matahorn beautiful it's 4478 meters so it's only actually the 10th highest peak in switzerland uh and the highest is actually visible from the golden gate it is the four different pizza and it is that range over there it is four thousand six hundred and something meters so you can see that montaro is a mountain dew for and you actually have a 360 panoramic view and it wouldn't be a nice swiss video without a goal to picture so we're going to do that all right so we are going back our train is here waiting for us so at the end of a long day of hiking and checking out the corner grapp from above we are heading back down to zermatt to check out a sunset set with beautiful fall foliage you can see kind of immediately once you get down from the sky high altitudes that you have the beautiful changing colors of trees again so we're going to find a great sunset spot and check that out louis is very proud of himself he found a really good spot it was actually just by luck but you can take the reed wig that goes to champagne bar and you'll find the spots above her zomet yeah beautiful skye my grandmother used to say this was her favorite color and she would call it sky blue pink this is so cute yeah so that's our restaurant for tonight restaurant this is the shepherd's hut yes [Music] a beautiful [Music] okay it is day two and our fall weekend in zermatt and we are up with the sun ready to go check out some more fall foliage this time from a little bit lower altitude so we are in the old zomat here just above the cafe restaurant dupont you can see these beautiful trees beautiful access to hi and we are on our way to the gondola that goes to fuli so you can take different paths i think you can take one that is less hilly but we wanted to go and stroll through the village so we're here this is november 1st so the first day of november and you can see i think it's actually the perfect time for the trees yeah i think from like and mid mid october to october it's good yeah really like they're all like this beautiful yellow color i would have expected them to be much more green than this but nice so we're gonna get this gondola that you see going back and forth um we'll show you the entrance but yeah we're gonna get the gondola and then do a little hike and get some more awesome matterhorn fall views and so we took the elevator and we're gonna buy our tickets here and then take the gondolas there [Music] so this is a great option so we showed you the corner earlier in this video and that is quite expensive it's very unique because you go up to 3000 meters on a train but it's very expensive so this if even if you have no discounts is like 11 francs so a great kind of option 11 francs is just about 11 us dollars yeah yeah so we're going to go up and then hike back down [Music] all right we're gonna hike back down the ride was really beautiful you can see the colors are so nice here so you can take it up further if you'd like you have different actually solutions you can also go to the yep yeah so this infrastructure is mostly for skiing but you can take it up now if you want to just see it but once you get a little bit higher the trees you start to get really the evergreen trees then you lose this orange which is why we are here here got off at the first stop so we are going to hike back down but first we are going to go see that hanging bridge yeah that is over there so we're gonna hike there it says it's like 15 15-20 minutes so hopefully it's not green there's also a very cute restaurant if you want to eat here yeah so at the end of this little hike you have this kind of chain suspension bridge over a sounds like a river i can't really see it um it sounds like water and you have the chain suspension bridge and you can cross i don't know what else is on the other side of that hike i think we're kind of just here to check out the bridge and then head back down but very cool [Music] i'm gonna stop filming and let them go so going down you have different possibilities uh you can go this way for example or you can take a longer road and take a paved road you really have all kind of choices to go down to zermatt and we're going to take a pay for us so we're walking down and i think this is like a perfect kind of leisurely hike it's mostly downhill it's paved it's nice and you can kind of just smell the trees super quiet really really beautiful and it's very very well indicated also the signage so you know that you're on the right direction but we're gonna head back to vermont if we see any other beautiful kind of views with nice trees anything like that we'll show you but yeah we're just gonna enjoy it's like a really perfect kind of easy sunday so we are back in zermatt we are in the heights of the mat kind of not in the village and there are actually a lot of these very cute little chalet mezzo and we are close to the trees also and they are beautiful colors so it's a nice way to come back and see another part of their mess than just the center close to the uh train station and you can see the gornergat bun going there see let's see them this is the beginning of
