thank you God hey it's me thinker here today I brought home three racks of baby back ribs for 27 from Cusco I'll show you how I smoked these baby back ribs at home so let's get to it what kind of barbecue rubs do you put on your ribs I kept this simple and used four ingredients kosher salt ground black pepper garlic powder and onion powder I use third cup of kosher salt half cup of coarse ground black pepper one tablespoon of onion powder and one tablespoon of garlic powder mix it well and it's now ready for your shaker now it's time to prepare the ribs Costco ribs come with the membrane on the backside removed so I skipped that stat go ahead and trim any excess meat or fat that could burn up during the cook okay go ahead and season the back in front and be sure to cover all sides make sure not to over salt the ribs [Music] the ribs are ready set your smoker to 225 degrees and place your ribs in the smoker leave them in for about three hours after three hours the internal temperature came up to be around 170 degrees a bump to smoke temperature to 275 and smoke them for one more hour to finish the cooking I took out the ribs when the internal temperature was around 200 degrees and it's time to wrap I skipped bind those heavy duty extra wide aluminum foils and use the regular size hole in the pantry I put three staggered layers instead to make sure I could wrap all sides prep your foil on the cutting board and add chunks of butter and a bit of maple syrup how much do you put in doesn't really matter it's up to your taste and liking I know you can add sugar and honey in this mix but maple syrup did a pretty good job adding that sweet flavor ah foreign back in the smoker for about another 30 minutes [Music] what should they do I don't know [Music] [Music] um the ribs were cooked beautifully it was juicy and tender and had a lot of smoke flavor and with the simple salt pepper garlic and onion powder it was done fantastically and yep the ribs had my family's approval as well after all we didn't even need the barbecue sauce there you have it if you enjoyed this video please push the like button and subscribe to the channel also check out my Instagram handle at midthinker thank you for watching and keep me thinking [Music] [Music] one more bite [Music]
