hello i'm ajith from esl production and today we are trying to use fusion studio camera tracking data into the blender so we will track our footage here inside the fusion studio and later on we will use this data inside the blender okay it's very simple uh you can use davinci resolve fusion as well so now i'm going to import the footage that we have to track i will use here 3d camera tracking node okay not planar tracker or something so okay fate i'm adding here ctr camera tracker 3d camera tracker okay click on preview auto track locations i'm leaving everything as it is but in default default way i'm not changing anything here i'm going to click on auto track it will take some times we have to wait for it okay so tracking has been done here now jump on the second option that is camera focal length i know my camera focal length it is 18 mm but if you do not know or you are using your mobile phone to to record your videos then simply leave it as as the default value here but remember this value because later on you have to use this value in the blender okay now jump on the third option solve camera errors i'm not changing any value from here i'm just directly click on solve the camera error and wait for it in my case i got 0.5 pixel layer and that is pretty nice for me but in your case maybe you can get higher value for every solver so don't panic just delete some battery and do resolve again maybe you can get the lowest number here okay now i'm jumping for the fourth option it's called uh expose before exporting i have to define something for example origin point and orientations uh analyzed here okay so first i'm defining the origin point origin means where i want to put the 3d extension kind of thing so here i want to put the 3d extension i will set from selection so the table i'm defining it as a ground plane so i'm defining as a ground plane okay and aligns and now i will export these settings we got here five extra nodes and we have some great tracking here okay our grid is following it following the table reduce the high quality here sorry prx so our table our grid is following this table movement so the tracking is not perfect but great okay and now what we have to do to export this tracking data we have to use fvx exporter okay space plus space sorry shift plus space war and we have to search here fvx exporter okay fbx exporter we have to give the location where we want to save this so i choose the desktop and i will give the name blender or blend blend type is fvx okay auto it's autodesk format okay fbx remember this dot fe x save check once here format is fix version default and the fvx frame rate leave this thing as default okay don't change here light i do not want to export light geometry camera yes now we have this fv access porter now where we have to connect this remember we have to connect always with with this merge node because we have a ground plane here point cloud and camera 3d as well so we have to connect this exporter uh with the with the merge 3d okay 3d data and now simply we have to render click on render start render it will also take some time and wait for it okay so render has been completed here click on ok close your program and here is your fvx format file okay now open blender i'm using here blender 2.91 delete everything camera q and light okay and set here 100 frames because i took only 100 frames from the fusion studio go to file import fvx dot fpx okay locate your file desktop blend dot fe x select this file import fe x uh this thing is very small okay you have to zoom there but as you can see the everything is fine we got some keyframes here um for this camera select the camera and we got these keyframes we can copy this keyframes and can paste for another camera to make the same movement for another camera okay but here is one problem as you can see our plane is here ground plane is here or the video sequence is here but our camera is is panning in in the opposite side okay so this is the problem how we will solve that we will select our camera go to the object property here but don't change any um value from the transformation because it's a keyframed value if you will change any value from here uh in the next frame it will change again to the default so so don't uh disturb these values from here okay these transformation go to the delta transformation as you can see a delta transformation go to scale okay scale at x put here minus 1 okay similarly scale on z or z put here minus one as well and as you can see your camera is panning to the video sequence and it is on right direction now okay your problem has been solved now select the camera go to the camera property here okay and as you can see uh the focal length auto by default is set at 34 point something mm but i told you remember this value okay and in my case my camera camera focal length is 18 mm so i will put here 18 mm and now everything is fine with my camera and with my video seconds with my video sequence okay if you will view everything prospective to the camera like this way i have to delete this video sequence because we do not need as a plane this is our ground plane so play okay and here also as you can see our camera will behave like a camera tracking okay and now we have to go select the camera background images add images video clip open that i have that video on desktop okay this is the video increase opacity and we have nice tracking data but in case uh this tracking data is not working then play around these these focal length value okay put here around 25 or something okay see or 30 make this ground play a little small like this way no no no no this is too much okay 25 22 i think 22 yes it is matching now okay so play around with focal length you will get some nice tracking data so this is the way you can transfer your 3d camera tracking data from from fusion studio into the blender why we are doing this because the built-in camera tracking feature inside the blender is not that much great okay yes you can track your footage inside blender as well but it is not that much great okay so i hope you got something new from this video thank you for watching this
