[Music] [Music] [Music] hey what's going on guys Mike from out naturing back with another adventure today I'm joining JP from JP videos we are down here the Bandit section of the former Laurel wins here in muzu Pennsylvania and we're gonna be following these tracks just to see what we can find these were never explored by us so that's our plan it's gonna turn into a nice adventure a great hike and I'm sure JP is gonna give us a little bit more information when we meet up and if you like more than welcome to come along with me so hit that subscribe button down below and make sure you come along all my adventures and I just want to say the people that already subscribed you guys are the best I love having you on the adventure so let's get it started making our way down the trail here if you look up give you a shot here but up there is a set of active tracks it transports freight through the area here so I'm gonna try to stay away from those lines although they do switch back to climb up the hill let's get up there so we will see those lines a little further down the way over out here you have some beautiful weather I did have a little snow last night but not too much to affect the date today I woke up hidden was in the forties out so we just have a little bit of mud but this area we're exploring is it's pretty neat I mean we're tucked in between restaurants up there and hotels in a trolley line up that side so we're just nestled in here it's almost like a little swampy area but I'll bring you along with with us when we get a little further down the trail hopefully we'll run into something interesting and come up to the remains of the rail wanna here's turning around looking back there's JP in the distance looks like you have a couple other stragglers down in the distance not with us but I'm gonna carry on so coming down the trail I'm gonna show you guys something I thought was pretty neat we'll get up to it I'll cut through the woods to show you this button look at the size of these rocks quite impressive how large they are but I just had to stop and show you here we are at the base zoom it a little bit further this is just gigantic there's another one here take a walk up towards it since I'm here let's give you a scale of how large this stone is and then I'm on full zoom and I can't get this rocking to focus I'll flip you around really fast oh here's me coming out in front of the rock I'm a speck compared to it so if it doesn't slide out you can see the cuts in it too so the cut from the rock that's pretty interesting to see let me flip you guys back around then I'll show you some of the more larger larger stones right here in the area well guys you know I had to do it you're up here on top of that large rock cjp down there these little speck oh yeah I'm afraid if I take a step I'll slide it's not one thing you want to do up here how's that drop there's JP down below and let me see if I could hold this out such cool spa so guys she wanted to bring you back quick and show you it's awesome view that we have I get JP down there wavin tell me to get off his rock look at this view absolutely spectacular but I wanted to show you that view and we also found a little cave so I'm gonna pause so I have to climb all the way back down there but when I return I'll give you a shot let me inside the cave so okay so here's the cave we discovered coming back in walk-in and JP our dues in here as it all lit up but an awesome hilarious here's an inside shot of the cave climb back down I'll show you pretty high oh yeah in here there's a shot from outside of the cave so neat and our friend QT was here they believe he loves them Marla but that's it a little extra discovery we found here in the the rocky areas wanted to show you so here we are we crossed the tracks and I'm in another little cave here you can see the hole to the opening right there I'll give you a give you a shot I'm going in it but this is pretty pretty interesting to crawl through I'm gonna make my way back through this little gully and it does look small but there's a lot of room it goes all the way down let me keep the focus you could see JEP all the way up in the distance and here's another shot underneath looking down this is pretty fun this is pretty fun find it just right off the edge of the railroad there's another look from the outside again I just had a holy good there's a jeep down there Alan is that you well guys we're up here on top of that massive stone let me see if I could get this aimed better looking out over yeah it's uh it's crazy I'll beat this raucous but I just have to show you guys it deposit here climb back down and continue on this journey okay I'm making our way down finally have to top of that rock and JP's down there and when you get a nice shot of these rocks and carry on here's another shot just one zoom in of the whole area but this thought this is a really fascinating thing to show you on the way I mean these boulders are just colossal and the rubble goes all downhill with even more large rocks down at the bottom when we get back on the main trail and and carry on so finally how I can make a no way past those rocks as you can see I finally hit the spot of somebody the exposed bed that we've been following so that's a great sign and hopefully we'll find some more some more artifacts along the way but as you can see all right we're right where we're supposed to be here's some more sections of the track just lying right alongside where we're walking as it was just pulled up maybe and thrown to the side and here's some more over here or unless that's another check buried underneath there it looks like they're lined up as a section or railway but that won't be too close to the stone wall that's right next to it so I'm going to go and meet up with JP and it looks like we're coming close to some modern tracks but I will allow I'll let you know as soon as we get there give you a better shot at that last piece of surviving rail here and it runs back down this way which would have taken you to Rocky Glen well we're gonna carry on and walk around and see if we continue to follow any section of the rail that's left there's some more of it yeah so this is the section of rail and we're going to be following today get a good shot of that for us I'm gonna be taking that and hopefully find him something good freeze along the way so stay with us guys and uh we're gonna continue on so this year is the Erie Lackawanna line and this year the trolley actually uses this section of trail doing its tours leave the Electric City trolley downtown Scranton he uses this section I think a few miles of it is only used but these are a couple days a week and then the other days chooses a freight line around the area here so pretty cool here we go Joe was just saying just got back from an area where we saw these giant trees cut by beavers but these look fresh got the fresh clippings here you can see where the teeth are dug in but yeah they damaged a nice section of Creek back where we entered everything was all flooded I'm gonna show you this section again that there is the old section of Laurel line I'm facing down this was taking you to the rocky Glen but again the rails were cut back there and the Edit a switchback for the modern rail line here to make it up the hills but you can see the switch let me get down here and I'll show you where the area is you zoom in right down there they would switch it and then continue uphill you guys go I will get down low and I'll try to give you a nice little hand shot of the track I mean it starts all the way over here on the left berries but it becomes more prominent coming out of the rocks here and it travels all the way down to the section where JP is that's where they snip the line to add that tab this new section of trail track here cuz that out does a switchback like I said earlier to the rails that runs up on top so that way the trains could follow the upper section of trail I just wanted to give you a nice pan shot of Laurel line or what's left of it it's a solid piece of history right there and again that would have ran right to Rocky Glen but we're gonna carry on that's what we wanted to see here we just want to see this section of track track and trail we're gonna do a little little bonus hiking while we're out and about and wanted to see what else this area has to offer so again guys I appreciate you coming along on this little adventure and if you guys haven't subscribed just hit that button below throw a thumbs up if you'd like let me know I'm doing the right thing yeah we're gonna carry on and I will bring you right back guys thanks for staying with me on this journey so making our way down the trail just a little further came across this beautiful Creek here it's flowing really nice I'm gonna get down and get close to it I mean this is beautiful runs right under a train bridge which I'll point up and show you run straight ahead look how beautiful the flow is and if you know me you know I love my water and waterfalls I love how I'll bring you around the side here I love how gorgeous this part is how it just wraps around yeah it's so beautiful it just wraps and it runs right alongside the railroad tracks there gorgeous so here guys I'm gonna give you a nice little this little pan shot of this area here I mean this is super peaceful absolutely gorgeous temperature out sign of the waters excellent but this is so beautiful they got how it snakes around yeah that's beautiful but I'm gonna get up and we're gonna walk around and I'll show you the little train bridge while we're here as you get here I don't know if you could hear actually but those quads ripping around in the background there was a jeep we just saw but here's the upper section of the Falls and not the Falls the string so now that we were just hanging out here I'll give you another shot here of the bridge are you okay here's a shot looking down Creek that's the log I was at all the way down there coming down you have the bridge here tracks running all the way down but I think get up on top of the bridge and see what's on the other side take a look at that guy's more beautiful water I mean look at this scenery is it something else is falling it down on the opposite side of the bridge but this place is something else we got to see the Laurel line tracks and then now rot here just looking at all this beautiful water the creek is going really nice I mean maybe a little extra snow what made the scenery look prettier but I'll take this look all day long this place is really beautiful down here and if you look I'll give you a zoom in too that's why we don't want to go down there let's high voltage wires for the trolley so don't want any of those where's coming near me okay we just finished up this little section of Creek here and we're gonna make our way across the tracks and I guess follows stream up a little farther and give you guys a better view upstream across the track area and we're going to be choosing the right path left ones all flooded in here's a shot there of the creek that we're alongside of and I believe we're going to see a part of the Erie railway now from what I heard JP say so that's gonna be our next adventure as we trample through this mud pit back here okay we're just going along that little trail here and JP noticed some concrete sticking out of the ground there's another one behind it too here's another hisk concrete foundation of something and there's another section of the structure this one's a little bit larger yeah the corners don't stick it out yeah so looks like you have the remains of two buildings you have some old bricks old-school bike yeah maybe the front there as a tag now I can't read that you guys this symbol or logo comment down below as to what it is old-school bike let's take a walk around here around the structure let's see if you can find any details maybe on what it could have been it's not too large of a structure as you can see there's the line of tracks here and this is where it stands looks like some sort of cave in from the roof and as you can see down here on the on the floor here covered in moss it looks like some more of the walls just have some platform like look to it so strange so if you look across here let's hear you we came from I believe we walked up all the way around and looped came back down here but we're gonna make our way over check this stream out take a look at this area guys it's pretty neat the old water pipe down here it's for me we're going to take a walk down a little further take a walk out on the pipe there's a nice look upstream is the pipe busted busted pipe there the water roaring over Kazuma back out and let's give you a look upstream pretty nice area and then we are right below a train bridge I wanted to get out here and give you a nice shot before I turn around and head back in and they shot there for you here we go get a little whirlpool down here for you that's funneling underneath go downstream we'll get off this pipe and give you another look awesome area got some clouds going one of them got stuck in the middle there pretty deep too oh you stopped too they both made it across all right guys we're making our way up to the top of the bridge that's our next goal following JP to the top nice he'll steep grade here and here it is take a look at the state of this guy's yeah that is pretty sketchy possible for stuffing right areas all right looks like we're crossing it hold on to your your hats guys here we are out in the middle probably not the nicest bridge to cross but we made it there's a shot looking back over what we just crossed seen better days yeah walking path is pretty grim and we have a cutie sighting and there's QT my best friend's beauty April first full day there's our buddy cutie cutie email me do something look how cool this is give you a shot here's a shot down the tracks here no lines no rail just the ties it's pretty cool shot hey what's going on guys that's gonna do it for today's video here at the Laurel lines and the Erie lines I just want to say thank you guys so much for coming along on this adventure and if you're new here definitely think about hitting that subscription button giving me a foul so you
