in today's episode we take a look at an abandoned Plantation mansion in the south built in 1824 by a Methodist Minister and planter from Virginia originally part of a 1 000 acre property that was sold several times over the years from what we could find online it seems that this home was actually occupied up until about five or six years ago the house was in the process of being renovated but became way too much work and the family moved out leaving it abandoned [Music] today we are also taking a look at one other abandoned property that was once owned by the governor so join me today and let's see what's left what's up everyone it's big Banks we are back again for another exploration today we are exploring an absolutely beautiful Plantation style house this place is on the historical list it is a huge mansion and was built in 1824 so it's very very old there's actually some old slave houses right behind it too but they're a little bit too dilapidated to go check out really deep in the woods there and Justin just read across but guys we're actually going to do two expirations today into one video so just stay tuned we're gonna see a few things but this one we're gonna go check out today so let's get right into the history of this if you're new hit that subscribe button let's take a look around the outside first we'll fly out the Drone and then we'll get right into this so let's go all right so guys so this is the outside I don't know if you guys can see that yeah this place is old really really old I mean look at the paint peeling off the columns itself place is magnificent so somebody actually lived here not long ago I want to say just about four or five years ago it looks way more decayed than that so I believe they only stayed in like one little section of it while the rest was trying to get renovated and then it just completely stopped so just check it out beautiful home beautiful beautiful home so guys I haven't done many plantation homes before but we are in the South we're another South trip here I'm with the Bando fam and apparel photography and he's just I don't know what he's doing but guys we are exploring some really cool stuff while we're in the South here this is our first video of the trip and starting off strong so this one we're gonna go inside now and I hope you guys enjoyed this video and hopefully you can just have a really good fun trip I've been taking these trips really seriously lately but I really want to just have fun with this one so without further Ado let's go inside this mansion and let's see what it's like all right guys we made it inside of the plantation Mansion right now this place is absolutely beautiful there's not a lot left inside but there is a lot of history to this place and we believe that there are still shackles down in the basement from when this place used to have slaves back in the day so we're going to take a look around this abandoned mansion and I can say already this place is very beautiful so we already took a look outside now let's see what's in here so I'm just starting here at the front door it's this blue French doors right here and this is your main staircase we got Justin in the house here and check out the details of the staircase on each step there's some wood carvings it looks really nice all the way up [Applause] a lot of natural light coming in here more than usually you can see it is pretty bare in here but they did leave you know the architecture behind they didn't like actually tear anything down they just removed all the furniture like there's still chandeliers hanging right here so you can see I want to say this is our main living room very nice big fireplace you can tell it is very old and I love that there's different color schemes throughout all through the house so like right here if we get to the kitchen and start to see a more red color and right above the door we have dogs playing poker that's hilarious but this is the look of your main living room right here so it's pretty dirty it's a lot of dirt in here looks like they stripped the flooring out so there might have been a different flooring throughout the place but now it just looks like this we actually have a closet over here see if there's anything left in it foreign stuff like that now someone did live here not long I want to say not too long ago there's a basketball goal outside and there's a like a Dish Network uh satellite right outside so it's had to have been abandoned just a few years ago or maybe they just lived in part of the house because it's really decayed and I'm going to show you more of this so right now I'm actually entering the dining room this is what it looks like so it's got this red and white color scheme throughout nice wood flooring and a chandelier hand here but it is falling apart you have the tile ceilings and these massive doors that go right into the kitchen which we're still going to look at this dining room real quick we got a red fireplace here it's got the brick inside very beautiful home and I believe this store actually goes to the outside of the house right here come right through these giant doors and we have a kitchen so it has this rock type flooring this is not real this is like vinyl I got an island right in the middle here and I love the red and white color scheme it is definitely different for you know a house to have that but it's interesting like here and there there's just little knickknacks and toys left behind foreign have a coffee pot here some marinade and puzzles and stuff like that it feels like it's been abandoned a much much longer than it actually has because it's been left to the elements and everything like that this is very beautiful come back here I believe this would be your washroom so you're going to have washer and dryer set up right there it's for your your laundry chute this is where all your dirty clothes are going to go pantries and whatnot and then I'm looking looks like there's a bathroom back here it's actually pink I don't know if you can see it too well pink and yellow scheme is what this bathroom is right here and I believe this door opens back up to the staircase [Music] foreign so that is actually one half of the house right there on the bottom floor so again your main living room dining room kitchen out this way but then we have another side right here and of course upstairs and then a basement so we're going to check everything out today got the crew in here ladybugs too I'm everywhere oh my gosh I'm like stepping on them all that crunching noise here showing your light right here this really is all over the ground yeah look at this that's hundreds and hundreds of ladybugs this little storage closet underneath the secondary staircase wow what do you think this room would have been it feels like a bedroom because there's a closet here and there's like all these Little posters and stuff on the wall they're just like Olaf from Frozen dude this some of this stuff is newer but this place feels like it's been abandoned for like 50 years yeah like the Decay is just so bad you got these shelves up here so I mean this had to have been a bedroom of some sort I think it was it's got the brown walls in here come across here into another room this actually might have been the bedroom part like where they actually slept looks kind of rustic in here probably a boy's room got the Metal Sheets all across with this black and white scheme another fireplace here beautiful fireplace some built-in storage space barricaded this door has even a little chandelier here it's made out of wood got a bando fam I haven't seen them in a while now guys they have a YouTube channel yeah you posted one I'm calling them out on the YouTube channel they need to start posting again and then and then it's got big Banks like gave us a bunch of people they pointed people to our page and one video got like 30 000 views and we're like we're good yeah they were like retired early so there's even more things all over the wall here looks like they were really into like spaceships and stuff yeah here's another look at this bathroom right here until it's really outdated yellow and pink color scheme not really a typical color scheme I see usually it's blue and pink not yellow and pink gives it kind of like an Easter vibe all right staircase is actually kind of leaning to the left a little bit the tad bit so I want to stay on the side closest to the wall it's where the most support is going to be at so there's a lot of dirt daubers what I like to call them all through here like those dirt wasps pretty little staircase but it looks like you have to go up the other staircase to get to another part so upstairs is the room we're entering oh my it's so decayed for like how new some of the stuff is in here extremely decayed I like the remodeled but part of it and lived in that remodel part yeah maybe they lived in like just one little section of it while they were trying to remodel and then it just kind of gave up brick fireplace windows are busted out all up here this feels like a den almost I don't want to walk on the floor though a bit itchy so this is what you're seeing like when you first come upstairs it's just there's a bunch of wood that's falling off right there that's what you see when you're looking down we gotta see what's on the other side though so now we got to go back down go to the other staircase and then we got to go down to the basement see if those shackles are still there we're gonna go up the secondary staircase here it looks a little bit more decayed so we're going to try to be as careful as possible as you see my face as we go actually feels pretty sturdy for the most part but there's a whole nother section right here huh let you guys see what I'm seeing it's like a crawl space here it's really dark and spooky looking and then we get to the bedroom right here that is completely pink and purple so I believe this was a girl's room it's even a little bed frame still wow little space right there for a closet another closet right here it's a beautiful house now it's time we go to the basement and we see if we can find what I believe to be shackles down there from what a friend told me um looking on maps there's also several buildings out here that we believe were actually slave houses a long time ago but this house is pretty beautiful I just wish somebody would be taking care of it thank you [Music] let's get started down here stairs look a little sketchy it's a little scary down here oh a big thank you smells Bando down here smells like insulation I think so it smells pretty bad down here it looks pretty cleaned out there's a little bit of graffiti right here but our friend said that there's shackles down here from when they were slaves said they were stolen they were stolen that's what happens at abandoned places looks like just storage this is probably I mean they probably use this as like a living room type area down here too this is our basement really creepy ceilings are really low down here too it's just all dirt it makes you wonder there are people like buried under here stuff like that what do you guys think all right well that's that yeah all right guys so we just finished exploring this house so what we're actually going to do is I'm going to add in another house into this we're going to make this a kind of like a two expirations video I really haven't done that before but we're gonna do today since this one's empty still a beautiful house definitely wanted to film it for you guys and yeah so we're gonna move on to the next house so we'll see you when we get there this 1835 Brick Mansion was once owned by the governor and is also known to be one of the most haunted places in the state with people claiming that they see the governor roaming the rooms and the land of the mansion this place used to be over 4 000 acres of land including an entire family Cemetery with Graves dating back to the 1700s after entering the home we didn't feel any sort of strange presence but I'm not knocking the idea of this place possibly being haunted so join me today and let's see what's left all right guys we've made it to the second location today this is a another historical mansion this place was built in the 1800s I want to say 1835 I will get into the history of this place too like I said this is like a two-parter video but this place is beautiful it's another Plantation style home so there was slavery going on at this place at one time I believe they they lived in the basement and one thing about this place is this place is known to be one of the most haunted places in all of the state the guys are walking up on it now and it's absolutely beautiful it is an old house and we're gonna see what it's like so I'm going to show you what I'm seeing and we're going to explore it looks like there's stuff in it man see up there there is literally a fountain in front yard let's take a look at that so yeah there's literally a fountain here check that out still got water in it and there's the Mansion right there it's a big one now another thing too about this place is Eric said the governor lived here right I can't remember yeah I think Eric said the governor lived here our friend Eric you guys have seen him before uh we're gonna fact check everything but right now we're gonna look at the outside and right after we look at the outside we're going to take a look at the Drone shots and talk about the history of this place and we're gonna see if we can make our way inside if not then you know we never Force our way in if it's open it's open if it's not it's not you know so let's take a look at this mansion and let's see what this outside looks like obviously it's got some pillars and look at it looks like there's stuff inside but I can't really tell super overgrown out here so it looks like there was a building right next to it that is completely destroyed I wonder if they destroyed it like that like they did to themselves or what happened to it here's the mansion quite large old historical it looks like there's a bunch of clothes hanging up up there this thing could be full of everything and look who showed up laughs Hammer worldwide and his lovely fiancee so this is literally the front of it right here some pillars what not some trash I don't know if it's accessible or not but we're gonna take a look up on the front porch here oh my it's loaded it's loaded everything's in there so right now we're actually looking for if there's any way in any clear openings but we're not seeing anything so far at the back of the house right now so the back door is wide open I guess I guess we found our way in and uh so Eric's been here before but it wasn't open now the back door is just I'd say we could do it I'd say so Justin you're going first apologize [Laughter] there we go there we go there we go foreign we're inside oh it looked like a time capsule at first it's just a lot of wrapped furniture thank you a lot of stuff what is that what is that oh hold up let me see this oh my that's cool don't typically see statues much and old houses like this got a lot of stuff that's wrapped but it looks like it's been wrapped for a long time I don't know what all this stuff is it feels more like a warehouse than a house yeah all these light fixtures here yeah what it's just prom dresses prom dresses what the heck all right I gotta see that all right hey what's over here oh this is a bedroom this place is uh strange yeah all these mattresses here also he probably was an office too let's go see what's up in this prom dress stuff oh my gosh seriously well that's a lot of prom dresses a lot of sequin let me tell you oh my gosh holy cow it's like a department store it's just it's just clothes everywhere check that out a lot of a lot of clothes that are wrapped up too some fake guns oh my gosh even more I told you Lord have mercy what's with all the problem they must have owned like a department store or something yeah dress store just full of dresses it's insane I don't think I've ever seen this many prom dresses in my life besides prom wow like this one price tag eighteen thousand Heroes what these are that expensive yeah these were 15 000 Euros wow Jesus 18 000 Euros 12 000 Euros 16 000 Euros expensive yeah 19 000 I see on there goodness hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of prom dresses didn't expect that all the other rooms all the other rooms oh there's even more down here it just keeps going yeah oh so this is the main staircase and what it comes up to it's really decayed the walls it's a little dark in here but more prom dresses yeah there's just more clothes in general my gosh like it looks like they tried to wrap a lot of it up and my goodness definitely not what I expected four thousand four hundred dollars for this one just this shirt alone that's insane I've never heard of these Brands though this house is absolutely massive [Music] you're going up there careful she's a professional caver so she knows what she's doing foreign storage there's nothing nothing it looks like it's caving in almost sheesh so we're actually walking through the woods here and as you can see there's a trail lined with these bricks and I think this leads all the way to a family Cemetery for the Mansion right over there and we're going to check it out because this looks really cool I've never seen I mean I've definitely seen like family cemeteries at these old old style homes here in the south but never one that had a full-on like pathway like this most of them have been kind of hidden in the woods and this one's all the way out here but quite amazing to say the least you'll find it oh I see it now it's crazy there's a pathway all the way to it dang dude these are old so the governor's grave is out here yeah 1700s my gosh that's crazy dude these are some old Graves died at Sweetwater Alabama 18 months old born in 1819 and there's bigger Graves over here it all looks like you could fall into them [Applause] [Music] all right guys so basically we just explored the entire place and that's two places down today it's all going to go into one video because they're just some things that we just found you know they're historical and they're not technically time capsules but they're still really really nice to look at and really nice to explore so I'm glad that I got to bring you guys along today thank you to Bando fam here and Justin and Eric somewhere else in the woods I don't know where he's at but yeah this is a good one and we're going to move on to the next and that is the end of this episode today so hope you guys enjoyed if you did hit that subscribe button leave a like down below check out all my friends down in the description and we'll see you next time big mix out
