Explore Armenia's Hidden Gem: A Tour of Dilijan!

[Applause] [Music] so today i woke up and i'm like i'm gonna go to dilijan today and film there because finally the weather is not rainy today so that's what's happening um it took me about two hours to get here i called my gigi the uber app type thing um at 8 30 and i got here at 10 30 so i'll be spending half of the day here unfortunately not the full day but that's for a good reason because i have another filming happening in yerevan around four which should be an exciting collaboration stay tuned so i'll be heading back to yerevan midday but i think even if it's just for half a day it's still so worth it to be here it's so beautiful dilijan is a city a town in northern armenia and it's called the switzerland of armenia because it kind of reminds you of it i'll show you guys we'll go for a tour but before that i'm gonna go to one of my favorite cafes in dilijan it's in the city center it's called cafe number two because i really need coffee at this point i'll show you the outside and then we'll go in so let's do this oh and in case you guys are wondering there is mini buses that go directly from yaravanto dilijan which would be much more affordable than the gg the cab um the cab cost me about 10 000 which is 20 usd uh the minibus i would say would be i think around 3000 uh but just for scheduling purposes i had to take the dg to be flexible with my return and departure times with that being said i would really appreciate it if you can like this video to help the youtube algorithm and hopefully it will help me cover the costs of the caps thank you guys let's do this avocado toast tomatoes let's see how it goes also fun fact my yellow nails are starting to chip which i think is good news for everybody because there were truly an eyesore so yeah that's happening the food is here looks good let's try it okay sorry the table is a bit wobbly do i know how to eat no that's good it's good okay i'm gonna go enjoy this and then i'll see you guys on the road so i came out of the side entrance to show you guys their outdoor space how cute is this i've got the engraving on the chair and there's a free little library let's check if there's anything inside all right it looks like it's empty it's empty but it's okay [Music] okay i'm gonna exit from here and then we're gonna go to the old part of the town arabic okay now that i'm fed and i have my coffee i think it's about seven minute walk from here to the old town so i'm gonna walk maybe i'll show you some of the way and then i'll show you around town this walk is so beautiful it just feels like hiking in the nature i love daily john so much and it's just a straight line so i don't have to check my navigation as much as i thought so i'll start kind of showing you around which is i guess the good news because who needs to see my face look at this view so green [Music] so i think you can start seeing so there's a hotel here i think there's a restaurant we'll go through it and see why is this there's a museum up there let's go check oh it's so quiet here is it closed i think it's closed sneak peek so you guys visit when you come [Music] there's the view from above okay going back down i don't know why i have an accent all of a sudden okay that's on my face watch your head i'm gonna flip my camera again this is a bakery this is a restaurant there's people up there [Music] oh a souvenir shop let's go in there there's wood carving there's ceramics [Music] look how beautiful these are those are all handmade [Music] [Music] wow look at these [Music] so and this is the ceramic shop in the making i want everything here oh look at this and that's me i don't know what's up here but why not let's go oh at least we have a view in case you didn't find what you're looking for yet in terms of souvenirs there's also get chop these are the hotel rooms oh plus there's a souvenir shop so yeah it says mineral silver shop over there what does that mean [Music] let's check it out or not i'm just scared we're gonna run out of time the guest house i have about 20 minutes left in the town so i'm gonna go back towards where the center was and i'm going to show you some of the cafes and restaurants which unfortunately i won't have time today to eat there um but definitely coming back to diddy john um you can get easily airbnb's here you can stay at this hotel um and spend the night it's just such a fun place to be in such a peaceful place to be to just disconnect from the city um business the business of the city okay i'll do this so you guys can also see some views in the back um yeah also there's a lot of hiking trails here uh which if you download the app hike armenia i'll link it in the description you can easily find trails nearby and go hiking in this peaceful place okay let's go walk let's walk back let's go walk let's go walk back to the city center and i'll keep showing you the views the where i was at the beginning of the video is where the mini buses the station of the minibuses is so that's where you basically get off if you take the mini bus and that's where you pick it back up from so yeah do you like this place have you been to dilijan let me two cafe this is kind of where the main area is and then we're going to walk this way to go to one of my favorite restaurants hill here called tava and then next week i think there's a couple so i thought i'll show you the room there there's a tourist information center this is like a gift shop three in one [Music] i don't know i'm supposed okay let me go figure it out so all i had to do was turn right i mean left but i'm clearly very good at directions so [Music] [Music] i think i'm lost i don't know the map is kind of confusing me oh my god there's a lizard let me see if i can potter blizzard john how are you today yeah you have stuff to do yeah i get it yeah yeah yes i guess yeah okay okay do you know how to get to the top no i tried to ask him for directions but it didn't he didn't have time he had stuff to do okay i went up i wish i didn't have the time let me check the map again now let's see i couldn't find it i know i know i only had one job oh to show you around i couldn't find the restaurant okay at least let me show you this view and then i have to head back to yerevan for the filming i have so i'm not late and i'll order my gigi from the center i can just
