Explaining The Ending Of Future Redeemed | XC3 Lore Explanation

so obviously spoiler warning for this video If you haven't finished future redeemed yet click on for this video now and watch it later because I'm about to discuss some Major Spoilers from the final cutscene of the DLC you've got three seconds remaining to hightail it out of here so I've just finished future redeemed and whilst the ending ending quite as purple game there was the refused and yearning for answers this video will hopefully shave away some of those doubts with the answers you've been looking for so if you're interested in the truth about the euroborus power confused about Rex chalkane's sacrifice and or curious on how this leads into Xenoblade 3 and the future of the Xenoblade Saga then you clicked on the Right video before we jump into all of that though I'd the other way let's get right into the power of oroborus last time I made a video on this topic I emphasize that the ability to Interlink and the power of oroborus were two separate things and the aura Boris was what enabled an Interlink to occur all of this information is still accurate and I recommend watching this video if you haven't already after finishing this one to get the full rundown on that power from the main game in in future redeemed however we have what can be considered closer to the raw power of oroborus the natural ability before we enable things like interlinking the party uses this power throughout the game to defeat their enemies but after revealing that Matthew's gloves have been concealing numerous call Crystal this entire time the power evolves or a better word might be completed this allows the six members of oroborus namely Matthew and Niel glimmer Nicole Rex and shulk to Interlink into one being and defeat Alpha whilst this is in fact an Interlink it's still different than the ones in the main game but to explain why I first need to make the truth of oroborus clear like Mobius oroborus is in fact a concept although it is based on a different concept known as hope specifically hope for the future this is why there are a number of similarities between Mobius Sonora Boris both granting new irises and changing the recipients biology aurobors largely derives from both the cavesian acne Queens as a combination of both the sword of the end and the yorubora stones which are both needed to fully awaken it even in its awakened State however this power was still far weaker than Mobius due to two reasons firstly Mobius or namely Zed had taken control of origin which allowed him to empower himself and other Mobius with additional abilities secondly and more importantly the emotion slash feeling of Mobius was far more powerful than that of Aurora Boris and was felt by considerably more people this is why the power is weaker in future redeemed where only a small portion of the populace specifically the city and liberators felt any hope for the future especially after the original was wiped out leading to the euroborus forms being all ethereal and ghostly Mobius on the other hand had every single soul within origin at their disposal and could draw power from each and every one of them essentially making their power complete and allowing their Mobius form to be entirely physical this has changed by the base game however as over 1 000 years later there have been a number of people who have also experienced this hope for the future which slowly over time has increased the power of oroborus even seeing a brief glimpse of this in action when Nicole and glimmer face off against Rex and shulk this then goes back to one of the main themes of FD which is to pass one's dreams onto another allowing someone else to carry the torch in your stead after you depart this world these words and actions eventually leading to their hope being realized whilst on the topic of power we can also assume that the strength of one's concept power is determined by their own emotions so n who desperately wants to protect the now after falling into despair is far stronger than other mobius's and the nowhere who refuses to accepts this world and seeks out a brighter future can also draw more power in comparison the fact that this power was also artificially made for the sole purpose of defeating Mobius essentially makes this a situation of fighting fire with fire that said this is in fact the only Power that would be useful against Mobius as they pretty much won the moment They seized origin and made the world their own this then goes back into pre-established harmony law I talked about in my previous video but to summarize for those who missed it this is the idea that everything that occurs within the world is predetermined to happen it cannot but happen to put this another way it's described throughout Xenoblade 3 as the flow often known as fate it was fated to happen that Mobius would win and that the analyst now would persist proven through A's Visions which work on the same principle only being able to view what was within the flow Against All Odds though the hope mean that there would one day be someone who could defeat Mobius and free the world setting things back to right and that's what the Ouroboros power is it's the power of Hope the desire that they may one day be able to escape their Eternal prison you're also probably still wondering where numa's core Crystal comes into all of this but worry not as I have the answer numa's core Crystal acted effectively as a catalyst for the euroborus power previously it would draw in power from the conduit and utilize that power to warp reality but after it dipped at the end of Xenoblade 2 it appears to have been repurposed for the sake of the euroborus power instead drawing that in and manifesting the power becoming a pseudo or a Boris Stone this is in contrast to the sword of the end which represents and functions similarly to logos as core Crystal now I emphasize that this isn't actually malice's core Crystal as that went to poof at the end of Xena played two and no longer exists what's far more likely is that using antos's core as the base Melia created the swords of the end as a replacement to lagos's core Crystal and yes Mellie is smart enough to do that she has 35 TP you could also think of them as replica monados for logos with both the powers of the sword of the end and the orobora stones the power of oroborus can be fully awakened and this is what was lacking earlier in future redeemed Matthew and the other party members who had auroborus only ever possessed the power from the yorubora stone the positive side but when Matthew collided with the sword of the end the negative side during the final fight he finally bought the power to completion and allowed those nearby to Interlink into one and defeat Alpha you may have also noticed that this mirrors how antos originally used to function as he in effect took in positive information from new numer and negative information from logos creating antos who is the neutral entity in this sense the artificial power of oroborus can only reach completion when it comes into contact with both the positive and negative energies which fortunately for the party in Xenoblade 3 happen to be pretty easy to do as Noah was already in possession of the blade making riku's insistency that Noah take it all that more clear next up we're gonna take a closer look into the meaning of shulk Rex and A's decision to become avatars for the world of Xenoblade 3. but before we do we first need to make it clear what an avatar actually is and no it isn't a blue humanoid looking thing put simply an avatar is a physical body or vessel for another soul to inhabit you can also think of it in a different way in which the heart representing the Avatar relies on the brain taking the place of the Soul both rely on one another to truly exist and sustain themselves as one without the other is effectively useless this then brings us on to the on toss core Crystal which is an interesting application of this concept technically being both sides the being known as Alvis from Xenoblade 1 the combination of both Alpha and a is the spirit of the Xenoblade 1 universe and uses the antos core Crystal as an avatar to manifest itself into that world presumably this first occurred when a Klaus performed his experiment an ontos triggered a space-time transition event transforming him into the world's Soul after the destruction of zanza however there was no need to maintain his presence within the physical world and thus the antos core Crystal reverted back to its original state eventually washing up on the shore and being found by shulk fast forward a bit to Xenoblade 3 and Alpha the deteriorated personality of Elvis now uses both himself and the core Crystal as the soul itself seeking for a body to become the Avatar which Niel eventually becomes this is how alpha maintains his power for the remainder of the game until we at long last free nail from Alpha's clutches and defeat him the problem then lies however that the world the physical body in this equation has lost its soul and if left as is the world will crumble and cease to be this is where shulcan Rex step up to the plate and take on the role as Alpha along with a who is already a part of the world Anyway by using their lives to replace Alpha's portion they can maintain the world itself and prevent its destruction but once more there's a little more to it I mentioned previously that Elvis functions similarly to the conduit and this is how the antos core Crystal acts as a gate between both the physical world or lower domain and the place where Souls reside are the higher domain this then ties into Rex's come comment about Annihilation events because origin isn't just based on antasa's call Crystal but utilizes it at its Center the freeze of the world would also be undone if Alpha wasn't replaced this propping up that the world needs refers to origin continuing to function under the will of Mobius as if it ended prematurely well before show come ready to leave to do this though they imbue their children glimmer and Nicole with some of their life energy when people are born from Mobius they're basically only provided with enough Life Energy to last them 10 years the tattoos acting kinda like egg timers to keep track of how long they have left simply rexen shall top up the Life Energy within both of their kids which allows them both to reach the age of 80 and live out their entire lives a special exception made for the both of them by then becoming the soul of the world shulk Rex and a retire from the fight against Mobius entrusting the future to the Next Generation until they one day escape from mobius's grasp this decision however wasn't a sacrifice while it might have been but not exactly at the same time it's unclear if origen would record and reload the data of the the world Soul itself and specifically the soul within the antas core Crystal if it does then this would technically mean that Alpha in some part has been revived but if it doesn't then shulkin Rex did sacrifice themselves for the sake of the world that said new versions of them would have been created back in their new world so in another sense this wasn't a sacrifice but I'll leave this topic here for you all to ponder on thematically this then nicely brings us on to the next topic of this video which is how a future redeemed all ties back into Xenoblade 3. again for the most part this is pretty simple as we see both the liberators and the citizens of the Cities fuse together into one Collective force hell-bent on taking the world back from Mobius inevitably over time this group would manufacture their very own for honest which would contain the city within allowing them to flee from mobius's grasp and maintain the fight against them passing down their dream to their descendants and so on Zed would also Empower his forces by regaining control over origin after Alpha interfered with his ability to influence the outside world this would be quite the setback for the city Folk however as it would take around a thousand years or so for anyone to be able to defeat the tyrannical Empire of Mobius this would largely in part be thanks to Riku who integrated himself into kevis as a common variety napan his objective passed on to him from his master Pawn Melia was to find one worthy to wield Lucky 7 and become the hope that would free the world from Mobius this eventually happened to be Noah who we're still not certain on how there are two of them but details me Tales anyways the reality remains that Riku chose Noah to be the wielder of Lucky 7 and trusting the fate of the world into his hands and choosing well the theme of then passing on one's aspirations and dreams to another is then what largely ties the two games together future redeem sets up the opportunity for mobius's defeat with the hope that someone may one day be able to defeat them on the other hand the main game of Xenoblade 3 focuses more so on the ideology of cutting off one's path towards the future the two therefore contrast beautifully as we have one story with the focus on setting up for the future and on another I'm wasting those opportunities and overcoming the doubt and self that lives within us all lastly the two games also connect through an interesting application of the Eternal recurrence this is a philosophical concept reimagined by Frederick Niche which states that time repeats itself in an infinite Loop and that exactly the same events will continue to occur in exactly the same way over and over again for eternity the main game of Xenoblade 3 utilizes a more practical approach to this concept through the lives of the soldiers each being reborn in 10-year intervals are to fight for their Nation over and over again on the other hand future redeem takes a more philosophical approach to this ideology and completes the concept from the base game Xenoblade 3 broke down the ideas of why so many of these conflicts occur through the issue of how the Eternal recurrence becomes a cause for strife and conflict in the nature of it being a form of overdependency represented through Mobius future redeemed however demonstrates the contrast to this argument via the idea the completely abandoning this kind of dependency or trying to force a form of ignorance is in fact the same thing exemplified in a saying of niches which itself recurs many times throughout his works if one wishes to fight with monsters see to it that you yourself do not become one and when you look into the abyss now that the best looks back the ending of future redeemed acts as a way to show the player that one cannot ignore the past and where they came from as in the end this would only lead to their inevitable and unavoidable destruction finally we need to discuss the after credit scene and the future of the Xenoblade Saga in general thankfully we finally got confirmation that at the end of this game that both worlds of kevis and Agnes will in fact become one once more truly bringing the Klaus Saga and the events that were set in motion by his experiment to an end additionally some nice symbolism is that when both worlds begin to re-enter the real world you can reminiscently see the Mobius symbol being formed a fitting shape for what is the end of the Endless now the appearance of Jupiter also feels incredibly fitting as there's a lot of Mythology surrounding that planet in particular that zenably draws inspiration from mainly surrounding Klaus I'm planning on May making a video on this topic specifically though so without spoiling that I'll simply clarify that within Greek mythology Jupiter represents the god Zeus who is the son of Cronus the story of these two Gods is pretty much a loose adaption of the Xenoblade 1 story with how Klaus or zanza created a new God which ended up leading to his own demise as for the future of the Saga things couldn't ever be more confusing and clear at the exact same time considering the huge low dump we got through the radio however once again I'm going to be saving a lot of this for another video but this does relatively confirm a few of our suspicions of where the Xenoblade timeline is now heading the two primary theories at the moment however for this last scene are that the blue star Falling Towards Earth is either Cosmos after the events of Xeno Saga episode 3 or Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X considering I'm still yet to play you know Saga I'm sure you can guess which idea I'm biased towards but either way I feel as if this last scene is a perfect send-off to Xenoblade and encapsulates everything I wanted it to have when setting up for the next Saga also before we end this video I just want to give a quick shout out to Joanne Hogg who's the singer for future awaits the song that plays during the end credits as she put in a phenomenal performance and in combination with the entire Trilogy in the background created what can only be described as a perfect conclusion and send off to this Saga that's pretty much everything I have to talk about
