- I'm Martha Hunt and this
is everything I eat in a day. (whimsical music) The first thing I do when
I wake up, on a good day, is I meditate, but I'm
not a big morning person, so most likely I'm rushing
after snoozing my alarm a bunch, and I'll go make a matcha. So I'll make a matcha almond latte, which is matcha mixed with almond milk. I'll probably have something light, 'cause I'm usually in a hurry, so I'll do something like
a toasted English muffin with almond butter on it, and if I'm feeling really decadent, then I'll ad this almond butter that's called Jem Cinnamon
Maca Almond Butter, and that is stuff is crack, it is so good. It just adds a bit of sweetness. There's coconut sugar in it, so it's a little bit better
for you than normal sugar, but it's delicious. Ooh, my go-to hangover
breakfast is definitely an egg and cheese and
avocado, or just a burger. I love a burger after a hangover. There's this place in Tribeca, Au Cheval, they have really good burgers. Everyday is different,
but if I do workout, I try to fit it in in the morning, so I'll usually probably have my matcha, maybe a banana with peanut
butter or Greek yogurt, then I'll hit the gym, because I don't like to have too much on my stomach while I'm working
out, and I'll probably do a more substantial breakfast afterwards, like an egg and cheese and avocado wrap. I don't cook a lot. Postmates is my best friend. I aspire to be more of a cook in 2020. I'm really working on that. A typical lunch for me would be, there's this place called Le Botaniste, I'm not sure if I'm saying that right, and they have a really good
plant-based vegan chili, and there's, it's brown
rice, beans, quinoa, and it's really hearty
and it's all plant-based, but I end up mixing in
a lot of white cheddar, so that sort of defeats the
point of it being vegan. I think that it's a really good, healthy, substantial lunch to keep
me going throughout the day. The thing with my eating habits, I feel like I just
really listen to my body, and one thing I've noticed, if I eat healthier, I also
crave healthier foods. It's tough sometimes when I travel. I usually look for something on the menu that is full of vegetables, so I feel really like, hydrated. I love carbs as well. I'm not afraid of carbohydrates. Midday, or not even midday,
I would say around 5:00 p.m., I like to have a good snack, and I usually crave
something really salty, so at some point in my day, I'm probably having a cheese board, and if that's not available to me, then I'll have hummus or olives to satisfy that like, need for salt. I just love salt. I would say I'm a pretty big snacker, but mostly around that time
that's before dinnertime, because I start to get really hangry and I have to immediately
like, fill my body with food. It's like whatever is in front of me. Do you know a lot of
relationship fights happen because of blood sugar levels? I'm pretty sure that's a fact. Like people are just
hungry and they fight, and then they get divorced. I don't really think
of them as cheat meals. Personally, I like to eat a
really like, decadent meal at night, so usually
for my dinner I'm having either pasta or I'm having Mexican food. Last night I had Greek food. I like to eat a really
filling dinner at night. Ooh, what's my go-to pasta? Probably, I love a good
rigatoni that has sausage and peas mixed in, like a
thick, creamy tomato sauce. I love pasta. It makes me sleep better. I feel like I sleep really
well after a big bowl of pasta. I try to avoid packaged
foods, but I still eat them. I don't love a lot of weird meats. I keep it pretty basic
when it comes to meat. I like a lot of grilled fish, grilled chicken, fried chicken. I like steak once in a while, but I don't eat red meat a ton. I would say eat red meat maybe
once every few weeks even. My go-to meal to cook would be Ina Garten's Engagement Chicken. It's a roast chicken. It has this white wine sauce, and I make it with mashed potatoes, and that is like my go-to
for a really satisfying meal. I get really into salads. I think salads are really fun
'cause you can get creative. You can literally just throw whatever is in the fridge into the salad, and I love making my own
salad dressing recipes, so although I do not cook, I
love making a salad dressing, and I like using balsamic, olive oil, a French grainy mustard,
garlic, salt, pepper, and a little bit of lemon, and it's my favorite salad dressing, and it works kind of on any lettuce. My all-time favorite dessert
would be creme brulee. Or ice cream, 'cause that's easy, you could just keep it in
the freezer all the time. Specifically, hazelnut gelato. I like it because the
fattiness of the hazelnuts really comes through in the
ice cream, and it's delicious. And that's everything I eat in a day. Thank you, guys, for watching. (bell dinging) (whimsical music)
