theory of evolution by natural selection proposed by Charles Darwin this Theory explains how species change over time through a process called natural selection this means that organisms with traits that help them survive and reproduce are more likely to pass those traits onto their offspring over Generations this leads to the development of new species theory of general relativity developed by Albert Einstein this Theory says that gravity happens because space and time bend around objects with mass or energy it explains things like time slowing down near heavy objects ripples in space called gravitational waves and how light bends around big things like stars and black holes theory of quantum mechanics founded and developed by Neils B Max Plank and Albert Einstein this fundamental theory in physics explains how tiny particles like atoms and even smaller bits behave it talks about things like particles sometimes acting like waves how we can't always know everything about them at once and how energy comes in specific amounts Big Bang Theory originally founded by father George lame in 1927 this Theory tells us How the Universe began it started as a really hot and dense State about 13.8 billion years ago and has been getting bigger ever since it also explains stuff we can see today like the faint radiation that fills the universe and the types of elements we find out there it's a big idea that helps us understand where everything came from and how everything works cell theory developed by Matias schleiden Theodore Schwan and Rudolph virto in 1839 this Theory says that everything alive is made up of cells and cells are the building blocks of life they're what everything is made of and how it works it also tells us that new cells come from existing ones through a process called cell division so basically cells are the starting point for life and they keep life going by making more cells plate tectonics theory initially proposed by Alfred vager in 1912 it describes how the outer layer of the Earth called the lithosphere is broken into pieces called plates that move around on the Earth's surface it explains natural events like earthquakes volcanoes and the formation of mountains as consequences of the movement and interaction of these plates over long periods the theory also explains how continents drift apart and Collide changing the shape of the Earth's surface germ theory of disease proposed by Louis pasture in 1870 this Theory explains that tiny living things like bacteria and viruses can make us sick it changed how we think about medicine and helped us develop ways to stay healthy like keeping things clean making antibiotics to fight infections and creating vaccines to prevent diseases special theory of relativity introduced by Einstein this Theory explains how space and time work together especially when gravity isn't involved it help helps us understand cool things like time slowing down or objects shrinking when they move fast plus it tells us that mass and energy are connected in a famous equation E C2 which means energy can turn into mass and vice versa the atomic theory this Theory says that everything around us is made up of incredibly small particles called atoms which can't be divided any further over time scientists like John Dalton JJ Thompson Ernest Rutherford and Neil bore added to this Theory helping us understand more about how atoms are structured and how they behave theory of electromagnetism this theory developed by James Clark Maxwell explains how electricity and magnetism are connected it lays the foundation for classical electromagnetism and helps us understand things like electric and magnetic fields electromagnetic waves and how charged particles interact with these fields allowing us to access the internet and use our smartphones theory of gravity proposed by Isaac Newton this Theory explains how objects with mass pull on each other it says that every Mass attracts every other mass and the strength of this attraction depends on the masses of the objects and how far apart they are Chaos Theory founded by Edward Loren this Theory examines systems that are extremely sensitive to their starting conditions leading to outcomes that appear random it delves into deterministic chaos fractals and nonlinear Dynamics revealing patterns and Order within seemingly chaotic systems String Theory this theory in physics tries to bring together quantum mechanics and general relativity it suggests that the basic particles are like tiny vibrating strings not points it also proposes that there might be more than just the usual three dimensions of space that we know about kinetic theory of gases made by James Clark Maxwell Rudolph and Claus this Theory explains how gases act by seeing them as a bunch of tiny particles constantly moving in random directions it helps us understand things like temperature and pressure in terms of how these particles move and collide with each other theory of Optics initially founded by Renee deart in the 17th century this Theory talks about how light works like how it bounces off surfaces bends when it goes through things and sometimes overlaps with itself it covers different aspects of light from how it travels in straight lines to how it behaves like a wave or a particle this helps us understand light better and how it interacts with the stuff around it theory of thermodynamics proposed by sad Carno in 1824 it explains how heat energy and work are connected and it sets out basic rules for how energy moves and changes it talks about things like how energy can't be created or destroyed the first law and how systems tend to get more disordered over time entropy it also covers how efficient machines can be in turning heat into useful work theory of fluid dynamics first founded by Archimedes around 250 BC the theory explains how liquids and gases move this is really important for understanding things like weather ocean currents and how planes fly it uses rules like keeping track of how much stuff is in the fluid how it moves and how much energy it has by using math it helps us create models to predict how fluids will behave in different situations if you like this video give us a thumbs up and subscribe for more videos like these
