Evan Peters talks tattoos, horror movies, and hidden talents for Nylon Magazine

hi nylon I'm Evan Peters and you're watching me I guess what I learned that's the most valuable thing is to treat others the way you want to be treated that was pretty much the only thing before working on this show I was very scared when I would watch horror movies I would be very panicky and jump and I still jump I still scream and yell and theaters and it's really embarrassing but I I really have have grown to appreciate them um and and how hard it is to make it look believable and actually scare somebody so I I I've kind of changed my I don't get so scared anymore and now I think about more like how are they doing it so they kind of ruined that for me but um I recently saw it follows and that was absolutely terrifying uh just to imagine something never easing up like that is terrifying yeah I have I got Mom right here and I got a thumb up right here uh it was after a long night and uh this was the Stamp that got me into the W Hotel and uh I woke up slightly drunk the next morning and was like well I think uh I'm going to get that tattoo in my hand I do regret this one I don't regret mom I like the mama but this one is like this one's annoying because they have to cover it at work so I'm always sitting there I'm like ah why I get that I should just and people are always asking they're like where'd you go last night go to party like no I didn't that's to tattoo and they're like it's not a tattoo I'm like it's a tattoo and I have to explain the whole story where I'm a dumbass and got a tattooed in the morning so don't get tattoos unless you thought about them for a while I would want to interview Tom Hanks and ask him about Forest gum and like what his preparation was like on that and how he did that cuz it was kind of amazing I love that movie and I love that performance and and he was so damn good in it don't do it no um I don't know I guess go to acting class and like just get involved and and and continue to grow and learn and and don't give up if you really want to do it I guess do it for the right reasons they always say that right they're like do it for the right reasons don't do it for fame or money or whatever cuz it doesn't last so you just got to do it cuz you really love doing it and and you want to create something really cool uh I oh God I don't even know um I have no talent I I I don't have one of those oh uh when I'm not working I basically watch movies I listen to music and podcasts and uh I like to cook chicken and vegetables I basically have to eat um protein and vegetables otherwise I get fat cuz I'm a big fatty and I have no metabolism so I have to eat horrible Foods uh that taste like nothing um so if you want me to cook for you you're going to be getting very plain chicken and broccoli well I'm working on X-Men right now and that's been kind of amazing uh I'm excited for for everybody to see that and uh I'm excited to work on Horror Story this year it's the scariest and best season that I've read so far and uh I'm stoked I think it's going to be awesome so I'm very EXC excited to shoot it and live in that world and and uh for people to see it it's going to be I'm really excited
