Preachers Daughter that that's what we're doing today based off of recommendations so thank you very much for telling me about this album you guys are the best as always and uh as as far as my knowledge about her music goes it's it's nothing it's nothing I don't know what Gen R she is so we're going to be brutally surprised I don't want to say brutally more pres track number one is family tree intro who I used to be Jesus can reject his [Music] father but he cannot his mother's [Music] blood [Music] [Applause] yeah this is [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] crazy is me [Music] [Music] the I where do I start with that where do I start with that love I love her vocals first things first the only thing that I've heard ever that sounds slightly similar is Lana Dar but her and Lana are clearly talking about two different very two different things I think maybe she feels trapped in a bit trapped in a way I think maybe you know she compares the way she's trapped in Christianity the way Jesus was trapped into Christianity by God and you know by his mom something like that I don't know I'm try I'm still trying to read these and figure out what what she means by neck swinging from the tree you know what I'm saying I know if that that's kind of suspicious to me I don't know if she means what I think that means or something just the way everything sounded and very Grand I was loving all that I hated the synth when the cor on the first course I hated the synth I thought I thought I thought that it didn't need that ship so I'm glad that it wasn't there on the on the second time around uh track number three is a house in [Music] Nebraska to me all day long used to be your favor s these vocals are You and Me Against the World you and my man and I your girl we had nothing except each other you and my whole world I still call home that house in Nebraska while the world is empty save you and but you came and I laugh and you left and I cried she laughed after he came is that what [Music] happened see if I'm do [Applause] well her and say that I'm doing fine when really I kill myself to hold you one more time and it why the [ __ ] is [Music] serious I heavily enjoyed the sound of that song uh surprised that I didn't feel like it was kind of long- winded um yeah I mean her relationship her relationship which is just a little corny you know what I'm saying like if we if we die tonight you die mine some [ __ ] I don't know listen listen besides that besides that I love I love her writing love her writing in the song I Don't Know Why the [ __ ] his mom's calling her uh his mom just stay out the business if anything that's making her wound worse so uh she needs to start blocking her calls and get get the [ __ ] out of there you know what I mean I'm just trying to put myself in that position of a house in Nebraska you know what I'm saying like what what does Nebraska even look like you know what the [ __ ] is Nebraska I don't even know but I'm a fan of that song let's hop on Che number four which is Western [Music] Knights like you do the neighbors feet on the [Music] wall D that [ __ ] is [ __ ] freaky [Music] bro face first in the bed is so nut I I never going to leave you baby even if you lose what's left of your [Music] [Music] mind I haven't spoken to my daddy in a long long time but the neighborhood keeps getting smaller and smaller allar the morning's paper never going to leave you baby even if you lose left your I'll still be all right [Music] you some love I appreciate how raw she's getting and how blunt she she she really is I was I was expecting something mysterious listening to the first song and now I'm just kind of like damn she's she's kind of giving all the details she's kind of giving all the details between uh who who this guy is he's breaking into at M and his Harley face first in the bed the neighbors are like yo shut the [ __ ] up like yo y'all are too loud stop it they're causing they're causing a disturbance in in the hotel um yo I mean it is what it is I mean people people [ __ ] you know what I mean hearing about it and hearing about it sometimes in songs isn't isn't always isn't always Pleasant you know what I mean I I wasn't the biggest fan of the verses but I love those chorus I I love both choruses in the song I I I mean she's got the sound down she's got the sound down we just got to get we just got to get to that writing you know what I mean track number five is family tree different version all right of me I'm just a child but I'm not vience so take me down to the [Music] river [Music] me all the way to the that you are [Music] me I I like this [Music] around head huh so take me down to the [Music] Mak [Music] me on the way to [Music] the definitely another favorite like absolute favorite um and it's crazy because after the first film we show I was not expecting to like this version as much and I think maybe I even like it a little bit more uh love the guitar work all across the board right there so we kind of get a little bit more context as to what the story is behind that one and you know we get to hear about her faith a little bit more and she talks about the bones that she is now going to hide because on track one we heard about the bones that she's hiding but now she's going to hide other bones maybe I think maybe she's they're going to be her bones I think maybe she's referencing you know what I'm saying the don't do that you know track number six is a hard [Music] times going [Music] on I thought good guys get to be happy I'm not happy I am poison in the water and un you watch me daning right there in the ground I'm still T to me another [Music] to [Music] to [Music] still me to [Music] to another hitter I I I love her wording here I love her writing on this song because she ties back into what she said on the first song how Jesus was always tied to his father so now she is sick of the fact that she's always going to be tied to her her father just through blood she said nine going on 18 lay it down on me I don't know what that means I have an idea I don't like that idea track number seven is thorough fair you in with America when you were 12 years [Music] old little harmonica I didn't trust no but you said baby don't R I'll take you anywhere so I hopped right in a look to SP at least your trats but I'll perfect song in my opinion I got nothing bad to say about that I did not know that she was going to slide for almost 10 minutes and the way that she describes you know them having in a course was was actually kind of clever that was actually kind of clever I was I was loving the whole thing I love that guitar solo love the guitar solo if if y'all know me y'all know that I love a good guitar solo on songs like that so huge fan I love the picture that she painted too I mean I'm biased towards road trips I'm biased towards road trips I'd love to go on one similar to one that she had you know what I'm saying going through the West going to diners and motels you know so they're going they're chilling toping track number eight which is Gibson [Music] girl oh these oh these vocals are corre [Music] [Music] [Music] crazy the money addicted to the drug he's in love with my body why [ __ ] that [Music] baby if it feels good that's not [Music] right you want to see me on my you want to rip these cloes andt me just the all over [Music] me downright iconic the [ __ ] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] [Music] I [Music] and listen this is uncanny cuz this sounds exactly like you know what I'm saying the girl's perspective on any weekend song would sound like you know what I'm saying on any song off House of balloons I mean it it even sounds like a like the instrumental would come come off that album you know what I mean yeah her vocals I mean even when the song Started just took it into a very different direction off of anything off this so far I can't believe instrumentally we went from what we heard on thorough Fair into you know some alternative R&B [ __ ] like that was wild sounds like that I definitely am biased towards and I love the most even though I can't personally relate to any of this songw writing at all I still I still I still thought it was an absolute Banger definitely one of my favorites off of here just I feel like on one track she's falling in love talking about something that's slly positive and on the next song she experiences something traumatizing it's almost like a psycho I feel like for her going to be honest I'm not going to pronounce that I'm not going to try tmia told me you I know the p is silent you with you there huh I invited you in you much is this horror I've been scared since geog goti this is [Music] crazy something I on [Music] I what the [ __ ] what is [Music] this me please look at me I can see your stop stop stop stop [Applause] [Music] holy [ __ ] Banger this five trck run is generational I think she's tripping I think that that's the word that I'm going to use to describe her situation I think she's kind of tripping out it seems like she has a voice in her head kind of talking to her I don't know if that's the deep voice that's happening right now I think maybe you know they kind of Disguise themselves as just death in general saying he you can't run from me you can't I'm coming I'm coming I'm also confused which I'm actually happy about this album actually just keeps getting better and growing on me as it goes on so let's see if it keeps on going track number [Music] [Music] [Music] 10 [Music] [Music] a [Music] transition transition transition yes yes yeah nice little dark instrumental I was [ __ ] with that you know what I mean it's it's such a nice break to come out of that ninth track you know Ian we kind of climaxed there uh fear wise and you know everything so it was just it was nice to little calm down a little bit love the base on that it just made everything so much more intense without even her needing to say anything let's get into track number 11 which is tele evangelism oh another instrument another [Music] instrumental [Music] nice little piano sounds right there we had some nice little piano sounds right there I don't know where she is in life right now but we have two more songs so maybe we're going to find out some context as to what the [ __ ] is happening right now cuz now now I'm so invested in this concept you know and I didn't even think there there was a concept until halfway through the album so I'm I'm ready I'm ready Sun bleached flies they talk all about their money and how they baby Fe are always changing while they're breathing in the poison of the pain God loves you but not enough to save [Music] you the they gave me this would break and fall tce as far [Music] we all know how it [Music] goes the more it hurts the shows watching it go from [Music] the I but I think it's about time I put up the fight take me so I just pray and I keep praying and praying and [Music] hold [Music] my be [Music] yeah all to me to me all is [Music] [Applause] to I believe [Music] all to me for [Music] that dancing with the windows open can't let go when something's broken it's all I know crazy one so I think that she finds some forgiveness in that song about maybe the people that have done her wrong maybe she takes God back into her life maybe she takes Jesus back into her life maybe that's what happens not entirely sure but the the instrumentation is definitely the brightest her coming to an acceptance here I'm excited to see what this last song [Music] goes you might fall in [Music] love free your sweet Divine you devour like smoke [Music] hi I tried to be good am I no good am I no good am I no good with my know that I love you I'll see you when every [ __ ] with green eyes got to mention the fact that they got green eyes though let me tell you that let me tell you that every every [ __ ] be like hey my eyes are green my God it's it's out of that or my my eyes are hazel my eyes are hazel they're not brown shut the [ __ ] up uh I love that I love that ending right there with the guitar uh soundwise was just such a climax you know what I'm saying so I think she's just kind of finalizing in on the love that she has with this person where we're at right now as she talks about her connection with her mom on this song A lot so maybe maybe her her mom seems kind of concerned about her so maybe Ethel has just like gone off the rails or something but looking at this now I can say that there's definitely um a lot of Mystique towards this even though there you know there's a lot of details kind of giv away I'm loving most most of the songs on here there was some songw writing moments in the very beginning of the album that I just wasn't really rocking with but then as we went on it seem like she kind of matured a little bit as the album progressed writing got better everything got better as the album went on I'm loving this record my favorite songs are probably thorough far Gibson Girl and Tomia back to back back to back to back um that three track run was insane if you guys want want to listen to any more eth K in the future feel free to let me me know if you're going listen to any other artist that is similar let me know I'm I'm interested to know if she's actually Christian or not though that's that's what I'm wondering is like is she religious or not cuz I'm rocking my brain trying to get trying to think about that you know what I mean have a solid one have a decent one no
