Escort Max 360c Radar Detector Review | Avoid Speeding Tickets- Actual Demonstration!

what's up guys welcome to another review and today i'm going to be reviewing the escort max 360. this is a radar detector now most people when they jump into a radar detector they think i don't need a radar detector i always follow the speed limits i'll never get a ticket wrong you will speed and you will get a ticket this is not a guaranteed way out of a ticket but it's a dang sure way to help you arm yourself against tickets a little bit of history for escort and radar detector fans this is actually a company that makes beltronics and they merge with cobra electronics so if you see their radars this is a top brand manufacturer up there with valentine one this is more of a very high-end mid to high-end radar and it's well worth the investment if it avoids a ticket it may save you once or twice and boom it saves you from them again it's not a guarantee but it's great so so guys driving with the radar detector you'll notice it's a solidly built unit all the buttons are at the top and the detector front antenna and everything reading is at the front you have all the buttons that give you access to auto and low x right at the top so you can switch right here with sensitivity and also display is really great because you can see all the information you need and it gives you everything that's relevant to your drive and warnings and detection this this radar detector has dual antennas actually front and back so you're able to see threats from all sides i think there's a dual setup in the back or the front so it might be three antennas but i'm not 100 sure but honestly you have a great display showing you speed and information that's relevant and you'll notice these arrows on it that comes into play really a little bit later when i actually will show you what happens down the road where it actually tells me exactly where the cop is but great detector stays quiet when you need it and these things do stay quiet and that's important because cheaper detectors they actually chirp unnecessarily and you ignore it and eventually it just you know you ignore it so much that you might get a ticket or get pulled over because you're not listening to it but overall the drive is great doesn't block any views but it's solidly built you can you don't have to worry about this thing being in your car over the heat it doesn't damage it because it's built to take it um but let me get to the point where i want to really show you all right here we go guys this is going to be an actual demonstration of where this thing is picking up cops and sorry about the screen flicker it's because of my frame rate not the radar detector but you'll see ka band and what you're gonna see right now is it actually shows a front arrow the radar detector has detected a threat and it's going to tell me exactly where it's coming from and in a bit you'll see where it actually is and why radar detectors actually do their job when people oh there you go so what you're seeing is ka on the left side you're seeing the strength of the signal it's growing because in front of me somewhere there's a ka radar and that's what's on that left-hand side near that one and it's getting more and more stronger the signal is getting stronger and now on the right side there's a rear radar strength signal so what happened see the cop was on my right hand side and it's picking up that signal so what happens is these two meters actually tell you front and rear the left hand with the ka right below it that tells you the signal strength at the front and then the other one shows you the signal strength at the rear and those arrows point to exactly where the police is so that's where that signal source is coming from and you're protected so it pays to pay it actually pays dividends to pay attention to these arrows it's a great radar detector for that and because you're using gps it locks out signals and allows you to figure out where speed traps are and i'll explain that a little bit further down because that's a great feature of it and it's really helpful a lot of the settings in your radar can be changed in the app which is really important and you can link it to your phone firmware updates are done via wi-fi so you can go into your garage connect your home wi-fi and it updates it through that or your phone through bluetooth so really it really helps to get the escort app and the app store and you'll be able to update your radar and tweak all the settings including the colors the signal sounds the strength the type of meter that you want everything is nearly customizable and this hooks in directly to your cigarette lighter and it's really powered through that you can also go through your direct wire but i'm using a cigarette lighter it works for me so
