there has never been a better time for you and your friends to play Escape from tarov and with the new wipe and recoil changes they have drastically reduced the gap between the Chads and the timmies and with the beginners hopping in you guys need a solid no BS beginner guide to show you the ropes of tarov to get into your first raid and have a little bit of fun and yeah I say fun which is not easy to come by in tarov but I'll let you find that out for yourself let's get into it very quickly in the next 2 minutes or less we're going to go over what escape from tarov is and the additions that you can buy from from them on their website escape from tarov is an extraction looter shooter where you load into a map and have free reign to do whatever you want if you want to kill players kill scabs and AI or just loot not run into anybody that is completely up to you it's kind of like a budget Battle Royale but there's no main objective for everyone to win you essentially win a raid as long as you extract It Is by no means an easy game that's why this type of beginner guide is perfect for you guys there's many different ways you could play this you could play it tactical and slow which is probably your best bet to survive or you could W key everywhere and just be an ultra Chad like you're playing Call of Duty now let's talk about the additions the game offers and by the way battle State Games uses their own launcher to play the game you cannot use steam or another app so first off there are three editions of the game you have the standard edition the Left Behind Edition and the prepare for escape Edition all three of these give you instant access the whole length of the beta and you don't have to pay for the game when it hits 1.0 all three give you a different stash size and starter Loop package and each Edition gives you more of each The Standard Edition comes in at $50 and gives you the basic stash along with the basic starter Loop package the Left Behind Edition comes in at $80 and gives you a slightly bigger stash along with a little more starter loot in the package the safe space container is the same as the standard edition so don't get this edition if you want a bigger container than the default the prepare for escape Edition comes in at $110 and also gives you a slightly bigger stash than the Left Behind Edition this Edition also grants you initially good standing with the Traders which just makes it a little easier for you to start and level them up but also gives you a beta container which is slightly bigger than the default Alpha container so if you want the biggest container off the rip this might be the addition you need to buy for clarification there is no Edge of Darkness anymore they discontinued that and also if you're wondering none of these additions Grant you access to escape from tarov Arena now let's hop over to what you see when you first start the game so first off you're going to pick your language then it goes to the faction screen we're going to want to choose between the USC and the bear which overall is just mainly the starting weapons is the difference and the clothing you can get then it brings you to your face which face you would like to pick from and which voice so here's the main menu but first we're going to go over the two ways to play the game which is the PMC and the scav the scav is like a free Loadout just randomly generated but the scav is a great way for you beginners to get in and get out with loot without losing too much and there also is a timer on it depending on your scav rep but like I said most of the beginners you're going to want to use your scav at least to learn the maps a bit and get free loot however playing as a scav you're getting into the raids a lot later and do not progress any of your Quests for your main PMC character for your PMC you're bringing your own Loadout and progressing your task for your account you also get into the raids at the very start of them and are pretty much shoot on site to everybody in the game once you decided which one you want to play You're going to hit next and that will show all the maps all the maps in the game are available for your scav and your PMC at level one besides the lab the lab requires a lab's key card which is a very highly coveted item in the lands of escape from tarov other than that the terminal is locked you can't play that because it's not out yet with this update they added a new map called Ground Zero which has all your starter quests on it for your pmc's I have a video and I'll pin it up at the top right that you need to go watch after this video to find out all of your beginner quests on Ground Zero something to also know this is a good map to start for beginners because it is capped at level 15 if you are Level 1 to 15 you will not be playing with anybody higher than that once you get over that you are playing with 15 and above as a scab you should be starting on customs and woods just to get the hang of those Maps because after Ground Zero that's where the start of your beginner quests are going to come from obviously if you haven't played any of the other Maps try a scav out before you actually run a PMC on them to get the hang of it also with choosing a map you can tell the time that is on the map difficulty and the amount of players as well as the time of day there's typically a night time and a daytime um so as you can see and it's in military time so this would be 7:38 it'd be getting close to dark in tarov and another essential tip you have to use while playing escape from tarov as a beginner if you have two monitors use one of them with a map pull up a map put it on your secondary monitor if you don't have a secondary monitor use your phone while you're playing this is exponentially going to increase your chances of surviving and learning the map let's talk about the next topic the offline raids you're going to want to pick the PMC that's the only way to do an offline ra pick the map you want to choose hit next enable practice mode right there is what you're going to want to click go to game settings and you can change the AI amount to none change the weather time and you're going to hit next and then hit ready and boom you are into a game now very quickly let's go over the insurance into the game you're going to want to choose the PMC you can only insure through the PMC whatever map you're going to hit next after the offline raid and then you're going to want to click anything you want to Ure I already have all of this insured but you're going to click click click and so forth everything you want to ensure I usually recommend uring everything if you don't have enough money cuz it sometimes can be costly depending on what kind of gear you're running you pay to ensure your stuff if you survive with it and it comes out of raid nothing happens if you die with it and somebody loots it and takes it out of the raid then you will get paid a portion of what it was worth let's say somebody kills you but they don't take your stuff after the game ends if that stuff is still in in the raid and it was insured by you then you will get it back a day or two later depending on who you ensure through Trapper is the default Trader that ensures your stuff and he's not bad but the other Traders can give you other benefits like giving you your items back quicker or paying you out quicker it all just depends on what you want to do but I'd recommend just sticking with Capper so one more time your loot that you insured never ended up leaving the game you will just get it back as if you never lost it but if somebody ends up looting it and taking it out of raid you will end up getting a portion of it also if you survive and want to just ditch a helmet or something that you ensured in a bush and Nobody ends up picking it up you will still get it back the next day now you understand the two ways to play the game let's talk about the character screen the character screen is for your PMC has nothing to do with your scav but it shows you everything on your player on the left right here and in the middle this is your backpack and rig space Also with your safe pouch like I was talking about earlier in the additions of the game this is all on the left and middle side of the screen on the right is your you're stashed this is everything you are starting with I'll explain a little more on meds and gear to get you into the game but first off let's go to the overall section and kind of explain this is essentially nothing more than just your stats you can also further down the line if you end up getting clothing for your PMC this is where you going to put it on at the bottom left I know I'm kind of covering it but it's pretty easy to see and then you're going to go to Healing that's going to take the left side of your screen and show you the healing system I will dive into this in a little bit but essentially that's just showing you your healing then you're going to go skills these are all the different attributes and skills that you can upgrade while playing this game the grade out ones aren't in the game yet to my knowledge but all these you can hover over and it'll tell you what is for and what you need to do to level it up mastering is going to be the section for the guns specifically you can level up every gun that you're using the map pretty self-explanatory but only shows you Maps if you have the maps acquired in your stash and then the Tas just shows you all the tasks you have acquired we go to achievements and uh it's pretty self-explanatory but let me show you how to start your quest which is going into trading these are all the traders in the game and they all offer different things Capper he offers you a little bit of everything guns different attachments even some uh headsets and armor and then therapist is going to be exclusively where you're going to go for meds fence has a miscellaneous Trader that always has random and different miscellaneous he most of the time doesn't give you any good deals but sometimes can so just keep an eye out if you learn what you need or whatever I forgot to put this in so let's quickly talk about the scav karma essentially every Trader has a standing rep that you have with him fence specifically has your scaff karma in the form of his rep if you do things that you're not supposed to do as a scav the rep will go down if you do things that you are supposed to do as a scav then it will go up the better your rep is with fence the better gear you can acquire through him on the trading section it'll also help you get better rewards through the scav case which is further down the line in The Hideout now if your scav rep is very low and you are playing as a scav other scavs will shoot at you if you have good rep with fence this will not be the case another thing that will hurt your rep is killing a boss or other scavs whether they're player scavs or just CPU scavs if you kill a boss you will tank your rep other things that can help your scab rep is mainly just using them looting and extracting as well as killing pmc's also if you are a PMC and you use a car extract this actually helps your scav rep it also helps your scav rep if you use a co-op extract which is an extract that requires you and a scav a PMC and a scav to join together and use the extraction at the same time both of those two ways the car extract and the co-op extracts help your rep tremendously for fence or or you see something in there that goes for a good price it might be worth taking but most of the time probably 95% of the time he's just trying to steal money from you essentially skier is also going to be sort of like prepper where he offers you a bunch of different miscellaneous stuff and then peacekeepers is essentially the only dealer that deals in US Dollars all the other ones deal in Rubles but Peacekeeper has a little bit better quality of guns and attachments than skier and prer does and then when we go to mechanic he's going to be the main one you want to go to when it comes to weapons and ragman's where you're going to go if you need armor a helmet a hat or anything like that even a backpack uh he's going to offer all of that Jagger's going to be more of the hunting side so like the hunting rifles and the shotguns but you have to unlock him a little bit down the line after your ground zero beginner quests so like I said I have a guide for ground zero so go watch that video after this one so all the Traders show you the level the rep you have with them in the time until the next reset you might be asking what is a reset all of these items in here have a certain amount that are able to be bought by players so like this has 145,000 that means 14,140 players can buy this and until that happens this isn't out of stock resets aren't all the same so the different Traders reset at different times and once you learn early game which barters and things to buy from the Traders are valuable you're going to want to make sure you kind of hover around the resets so you can restock on those things that are a good price for you after that if a Trader has a green check mark like prer does and a couple others that means that you need to go to their task section and you have a task available to accept this is an essential part to the beginner guide and should not be missed because if you do not accept this and you do the quest you will not get credited for it nothing will happen so make sure you go through the Traders if they have the green check mark that means there's a quest you need to accept to be able to even do if there is a blue check mark on the trader that means that you have a quest ready to turn in then you also need to go to their task section and physically click the Turnin button now let's quickly go over The Hideout The Hideout just essentially is a place where you're going to take most of your loot and materials found in raid and convert into certain things in The Hideout a workbench you're going to need two nuts two bolts and one of these Leatherman multi-tools and that'll start your workbench once you unlock your workbench you're going to be able to start crafting specific things same with the med station it requires certain materials to be built and then once it's built you can start crafting certain medical items there are a few things like the heating and the resting area that pretty much just help your player recover from things essentially once you craft this and you get done with a PMC raid let's say your energy is low and you don't fill it up this will give you two an hour and the more you upgrade your hideout it's overall just going to be a boost to your player and help him out when he's coming back from a raid and you didn't fully heal him or give him enough hydration or energy but as someone who's starting with a fresh account vents is something you can do instantly and I would recommend trying to get your hideout as high as you can because eventually you're going to be able to generate Bitcoins which give a nice chunk of change and can sustain you not making a lot of money in Escape From tarov essentially just go over The Hideout and see what you need to be looking for loot wise like right here we have a measuring tape that is going to be a good find for you if you're just starting out so now that we covered all the tabs in the middle let's go over to the tabs on the bottom obviously you have the settings and this is going to be your sound your controls post effects Graphics obviously all that is self-explanatory the messenger is where you're going to go to receive task items or rewards from the Traders for doing respective quests but there's a timer on these things so make sure you're claiming them and receiving them in a good and effective time the messenger is also where you're going to go to add friends hit messenger then hit friends type in your friend's nickname and then you should be able to add your friend and then you have the handbook which isn't too important but as a beginner it can help you uh learn certain things might have um just going through them and reading them might not be a bad idea but I mean most people aren't going to want to do that so that's fine the presets you don't have unlocked until you get the gun rack in your hideout so we're not going to cover that and and then the flea market will be level 15 this is where you can go and it's a player driven Market you can upload your offers and then people can buy them from you you can also do the same for them this is a very good way to make money and escape from tarov so getting from level one to 15 is not going to be easy on making money you're going to have to sell things that you want to hold for a quest but once you get to the flea market unlocked it is a lot smoother sailing for you you then have another tab for the Traders which we already went over and then another t for the character on the left this is where you invite your friends and escape from tarov you can play with a team up to five you and four others if you want to see their stats or invite them just click on their name and it'll come up like that then you also have The Hideout tab as well so now that we're finishing up on the last couple parts let's quickly go over the character screen and what you kind of want to take into raid with you if you don't know much people have asked before how many guns I should come in with honestly when you're starting out just bring a weapon that at least can cover medium to close range so you're covered in those aspects you don't need to be sniping your first raid as a Timmy one thing to note is you also don't need to bring a melee into the game in my opinion one reason is because it can be easy to just take a melee weapon from a scav you've killed and either sell it or save it for a barter so I usually just leave that spot open so I can loot from scabs very quickly I'm going to go over the found and raid status on the loot in the game found and raid just essentially means that you can sell it on the flea market if it's not found and raid you cannot sell it on the flea market there are three ways to get found and raid items and that is completing a quest and getting an item from a Trader successfully extracting out of a raid with that item or crafting it in your hideout also another tip not everything in the game can be sold on the flea market if it's found in raid like high tier armor and ammo that cannot be sold on the flea market so a PMC without anything on him looks like this but this is essentially what you're going to want to do in Escape From tarov a headset is a big deal there are a bunch of different headsets you can get but just trust me they amplify The Sounds you can easily miss somebody very close to you walking around without having a headset so having a headset is exponentially required but you're just going to drag it over as a PMC you definitely should be using armor so obviously that's going to go to that slot you also need a helmet so put one of those on and a face mask isn't required but it's definitely recommended you can easily tell a PMC from a distance without a face mask on and then you're going to want to plop on your rig and your book bag as well as your gun as far as guns and Mags go you want to make sure you have the exact mag that is compatible with your gun obviously the M4 is a 5.56x 45 rifle and you just click on this and it'll bring up 5.56x 45 Colt 30 round mags this is what we want ma55 is a solid beginner round you're just going to drag the ammo into the clip and boom drag it into the gun it's as simple as that but like I said make sure the clip is compatible with the gun I know as a beginner it can be hard to decipher which Clips go for what gun especially if you don't know much about guns that'll just come with practice let's quickly go over the weight Health hydration and Energy System essentially everything has a weight in the game if I pull up this clip it says it has 0.477 kg we're at 15.7 kg already and once we get into the raid it won't take long before we loot a couple things and we're overweight once you are overweight you're going to hit a speed penalty which is okay and it is normal for most people like I said you can't really loot a lot and be below weight everything has to weigh practically nothing so most games you're going to get overweight towards the end of them so I'll talk about health but let's talk about the hydration this is essentially just going to be your water source you're going to want to bring water and food into the raid which is going to be the hydration and the energy that is pretty self-explanatory I would say just in case you're heading into a raid and you've been in there for a while and don't know what to look for this will get you covered for a little bit and then quickly the save container this is essentially just going to be loot that you can put into your container and you will not lose it even if you die if you die and escape from tarov all this loot over here will be wiped and you will not get back unless you insure it and we'll talk about insurance before we head into the raid but this is all going to be gone you're going to lose all your loot but everything inside your safe container and your safe pouch will not be lost so if I die all this is gone but I still have my water and my M I'm still a baller so it's very important to decide what you put in your container I usually like to stuff in a couple of decent meds a stack of ammo so I can top off which is also another good tip so let's say I reloaded midf fight and I only have 15 bullets in here but we're at a stalemate or something happened and I have enough time to repack a MAG you just going to take your ammo that you brought into your safe pouch and you're going to start repacking that mag but it'll take time so be weary when you do it so with bringing in food you also need to bring in meds so then on the healing system and escape from tarve as you can see my head is in the way but there is 440 HP total on your PMC when he's fully healed all these different Health pools are different hit boxes and they all add up to 440 HP now as I try and explain the health system I'm going to show you some of the meds so you can kind of understand how they interchange with each other there are six different categories of medical items in the game and no this is not all the medical items this is just a rough overview of a level one account if you want to see AZ a beginner guide on all the medical items in Escape From tarov then stick around and subscribe I am consistently going to provide very informative and entertainment content for you guys on escape from tarov so if that sounds like something you enjoy then hit that subscribe button and I will be happy to have you here so let's go over the categories of meds you have the HP healers the light bleed healers the heavy bleed healers the painkillers the splints and the surgical kits now hypothetically speaking let's say somebody did 30 damage to my left arm that would take 30 damage away from the total health pool making it 410 and also leaving my left arm with only 30 HP I would then need to be taking an HP healer to restore that HP essentially to heal myself I need to use an HP healer so I would drag one of the HP healers put it on top of that limb voila I'm back up to full HP on that limb if you took damage on other limbs you're going to need to do the same to get them topped off now let's say somebody damaged that left arm at 30 damage and it applied a light bleed that means I would need to take care of the light bleed with one of the light bleed healers AKA these bandages put it onto the light bleed and there will be an icon after that light bleed is taken care of you will then need to top it off with HP healers to take care of the bleed and then top you back off with HP and the same goes with a heavy bleed it's just another way to take care of it with these heavy bleeds on screen right here the EDG Mark and the hemostats the same thing goes with the splints but this is just for fractures and broken limbs so let's say I jumped off of a high spot and I broke both my legs and I can't run by the way if your leg's broken you are not able to run so I'm going to take one of the splints put it on my left leg and then take another splint and put it on my right leg and then same as before if I lost any HP I'm going to take an HP healer and add it to that limb and voila I'm back up to full HP and then the painkillers are going to negate any damage or any pain that you are taking obviously hence painkiller so let's say I took a bunch of damage between all of my limbs and my player is starting to moan and Grunt and things of that nature a painkiller will make it seem as if I'm full HP and I won't be moaning and crying everywhere a painkiller doesn't necessarily heal you but there are certain stems that will do that for you which will be mentioned in the complete beginner guide to Medi items in Escape From tarov now let's talk about the surgical kit that also deals with the blacked out limb system now let's say somebody did more than 60 damage on this left arm that would create this to be a blacked out limb meaning I can't just take an HP healer drag it on and heal back to full HP I have to have a surgical kit ready and available you're going to take that surgical kit and the same process applies just drag and drop or double click with any of these items while you're in game double click and it will use it then once you're done with surgery on that blacked out limb it will take it up to a reduced amount from your original amount of HP and this does not heal you so after you're done with surgery you're going to want to tap it off with an HP healer and boom then you are at the max HP that you could have which after you do surgery goes down from 440 also very important to note if your head or thorax get blacked out you effectively cannot do surgery on them and if you take any damage from either of those Health pools you will die on the spot then for the last bit of essential information you need to know about the meds and escape from tarov not all of the HP meds only heal HP let's take for example this grizzly also does the same as a splint in removing fractures but it takes 50 HP out of its total 1,800 HP pool it also stops light bleeds and heavy bleeds for a lot more than the cost of just healing yourself the car medkit ifac and APAC all do essentially the same thing but none of them remove fractures and the car medkit does not remove heavy bleeds both the IAC and the AAC remove heavy bleeds but they all take a large penalty if if you use this to take care of a heavy bleed on your PMC if you look at it down here 170 of its total 400 HP pool will be used if you take this to use it on a heavy bleed and essentially it's practically pointless unless you have nothing else to use an IAC to take care of a heavy bleed as it takes 210 HP out of your total 300 which is a lot but all three of these also stop light bleeds so you can somewhat rely on these to take care of your light bleeds if you don't have bandages and in case I wasn't clear the number on all of these is the total amount of HP it has but for all the other things it's how many uses it can be used so like this Army bandage is effectively better than the regular bandage because it can be used twice but takes up the same amount of space same for this hemostat versus its regular es March as far as painkillers go all of them last different durations of time and some of them have multiple uses versus the others so just find out which one's cost effective and that you like the most now let's quickly talk about as a beginner what you should be putting in your Alpha container I have a gamma cuz I have the Edge of Darkness account you guys most likely don't have the Edge of Darkness account but let's just go off of the 2x two scale four total cells off the bat you need a surgical kit so two of your slots are going to be used by a surgical kit after that I'm going to want to take a solid HP healer one that is a jack of all trades so try and get an ifac or an AAC cuz it could do all three things but only takes up a slot in your container and with one slot left I have three things for you to choose from a stack of ammo so you can repack your mags an AO splint which is five in one or the hemostat which is three es marches in one which take care of your heavy bleeds but when you go into raid you're also going to want to bring another HP Med even if it's just an AI that's fine make sure you have at least one bandage to take care of bleeds so you're not relying on just your AAC in your container you can bring in esar but you do have your hemostat which will deal with three of those so that's up to you as far as you bring in splints since you don't have a stack of splints in your container you're going to want to bring at least one one and probably two splints on your person when you go into a range and then as a beginner you're only going to have access really to the regular painkillers which give you four uses this is about a solid setup for somebody who has the starter Alpha container only four slots and then another tip which you guys are going to want to use this is essential as well if you hover over anything in your pockets and or your rigs if you hover over it and press whatever button you want that to be binded to you can do this boom I can press three in game and the AI will be used but all in all that is how you can change mid game which key binds certain things are going to be binded to but that covers everything you'll need to know to get into a game but I will now get into a game and show you how to find which extracts you have so once you spawn your extracts and the time remaining will show up but if you need to pull that back up just double tap o and it will pull this up also anything with the question marks means that it may or may not be a available also anything with a car extract in this case on Customs is dorms VX if it shows green that means somebody is paying to use it and they're trying to get out and if it shows red that means it's already been taken and you cannot take it another thing in the car extracts on escape from tarov it costs 5,000 rubl to use it once you do and secure your seat one out of four to be exact it starts a minute timer where you can go wherever you want but if you're not back to that car when it hits zero another thing to quickly go over is the fact that you have two different stamina bars one for your arms and one for your legs if you're jumping sprinting that is going to be used by the green section on the bottom left of your screen and the blue section is going to be your stamina on your arm strength so the longer you hold this down the more your aim will be wobbly won't be as good and just overall won't be as effective so you're going to have to let go and let that bar recharge up the bunch of white dots directly above that is your walk speed so if I turn this all the way down and and go forward I'm going to be walking extremely slow and if I turn it up I'm going to walk a lot faster also the dots to the left of that is to show what height you are standing at so if I crouch you could see it goes all the way on the bottom left goes all the way down and then if I stand up it goes all the way up so you might think okay well what are all the other dots well you can hold Crouch and use your mouse wheel to choose which height you want to go to and this is insanely effective depending on if you're peeking through a certain hole but for extracts to tell how they're open you can usually see if there is a light on this light is on I unfortunately don't have this extract but for people who have this extract they can take it because the light is on another very helpful tip while we round out this video is after you shoot a couple shots so it's a very hardcore game how how how many rounds do I have left in my gun so you're going to want to hit alt and T at the same time at the bottom right it'll will say about a half the better mags you get in the game it might even tell you approximately 21 bullets and the last and final beginner tip I have is when you get into your raid make sure you know which mode your gun is set to so when you get into a fight you can either tap or fullon spray at their face if you guys want to see more informative and entertaining content on escape from tarov then don't forget to leave a like comment and subscribe and I appreciate you guys making it to this point if you did with all that being said I'll see you and tarov
