I loved the story, the innocence of curiosity and discovery, the change of music when he realized he could make a fortune, his greed being punished as it all slipped away... it was a little morality tale.
It’s really sad that Reddit’s first reaction is to tear down this magician who has been practicing and honing his sleight of hand skills for over ten years now. And for what? So people can feel an iota better about themselves because they can “spot the edits” while all they’re doing is sitting at their computers, watching this video repeatedly at 0.2x speed and trying to rip this guy’s life’s work apart.
For what it’s worth, this act was performed at FISM (the world championship of magic) live, in front of judges that were sitting 2 meters away, and was deemed worthy of first prize. Yes, of course there were tricks involved because news flash, magic isn’t real. And if you want to ruin the illusion for yourself by rewatching this video a million times then go for it. But to say all this magician does is a bunch of cheap video edits is bullshit.
How he do that
Is anyone else annoyed about the audience clapping after every trick I feel like it ruins the flow and cinematics of the act? I wish they would just wait til the end. It is so loud too. It almost feels like a laugh track does even if it isn't edited in.
Dude these comments are depressing. I have friends that do shit like these guys are doing and it's not fun. Just enjoy the fucking show for Christ's sake. Not everything has to be so damn analytical.
How much of this is props that do stuff as apposed to slight of hand or whatever other techniques magicians use? I rewatched for the moment his vest changed back to black and he was just bent over a bit covering most of it and you see the red just change to black like a wave
