all right [Music] we came right across the Confederation Bridge and just parked right here at the visitor center we're gonna stay parked right here we're packing up we're going to take off yippee Prince Edward Island doing the we're biking the island walk trail that goes all the way around the island seven 100 kilometers 435 miles can't wait [Music] hey we're on the trail we're on the trail but look we somehow just took off on this other Trail so we've got to figure it out now so it was a nice Trail there's Trails all over the place but we're trying to find this island walk trail which we're gonna turn around and find it right now super fun you guys we're out here riding hat it's kind of humid but it has a little breeze it's awesome so happy to get some exercise all right [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] look at it's the Island Walk sign we finally found our way goodness gracious now it's marked once we got on it it's Walmart once you're on it you're on it but um nobody knew where it was I know nobody on the island I'm like what's that what's that what is it okay [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] hi people hi when he just finished our first day on Pei we got here in the afternoon we had to pack everything up we didn't have one thing packed we just had it in there yeah and it you know even though we we knew we had everything and we kind of had an organizational pattern for the last time we did this it was like tough it was really hard so and then we just took off writing which was great we had to find our way it wasn't well marked well it is but we were just off of it so anyway it's been hard in a couple spots trying to find our way yeah but I think it's our fault anyway so we had the situation today so you're riding on um so you're riding on a trail and then you'll ride on roads that really don't have any much traffic some dirt roads and then there's some dirt roads that are okay and then there was a busier road but those shoulder was so wide and there wasn't it's not like super fast and you know it's okay so yeah all of a sudden I'm riding along On that busy road and this kid you know young people sometimes acting crazy showing off or whatever it was I think it was a car full like it was full of them yeah so they come by me and scream really loud you know it kind of I you know scared me a little bit and so I thought oh no Annette's on up there I wonder what they're going to do to Annette and then I see where the kid is hanging so Annette is in front of me the car goes over into the shoulder the kid is reaching his arm out like that trying to touch a net he wasn't like trying to he wasn't like pushing like that but his arm is going out and I went oh my God oh my God of course I don't see him when he's behind me naturally and then he like I'm he is so close to me he's like cuts into I was like my God the car cuts over so the kid could try to grab her or touch or whatever makes you feel weird too it really scared me I mean I'm like ooh I don't like that it's like gosh you could really get injured for just crazy stuff like that I hate that stupid that acting out like that I just ah bugs me oh yeah anyway we're hoping that's our one event and then yeah and the rest of it we've loved we're over here at this link letter Provincial Park which is camping on the straight love it we got here kind of late so yeah we did um but they had a spot so we're just loving it we're sitting out here drinking our tea and hanging out and I'm looking forward to tomorrow it's fun love it well perfect Tim it is super nice super nice and you guys the people so I thought so I stopped we stopped right as you go over the bridge we stopped at that um Visitor Center and I was asking where we could park long term you know like a week or 10 days or whatever I thought we're gonna have to just find a place and pay for it I mean I was just kind of asking where are those places and the woman said you gotta park right out here in this parking lot just go to the back of the parking lot and just park there people do it all the time so we totally parked and so we started right there we didn't start in Charlottetown we started right at that as soon as we crossed the bridge crossed over yeah so we're then we're heading around following the little guide so all right we'll check check what's going on okay bye bye here's our campsite for the night it's awesome The Tide is out pretty cool so this is a let's look at that light is really beautiful it's really beautiful this is the campground where we're staying it's really a nice Campground yeah we're right back there in the tent section but look at this beautiful light [Music] [Music] it opens at nine eight fifteen eight twenty we're taking a break at this little cute town of Wellington has this little park so we're just hanging out so pretty it has a little charging plug there so that's nice [Music] foreign [Music] so hot and humid hot humid yeah so we just met Christy and Rhonda and and their friends and spouses Arizona from Phoenix they wrote us last year um when we were over there to hike but we were on our way to Flagstaff and we missed them so at some point we'll catch up with him but it was fun seeing him they're riding their bikes out here too going the opposite way so that was fun to see him anyway we're having fun we're on this uh Confederation Trail so there's a couple of trails there's a confederation Trail is a Old Railway bed that goes all the way across the island it's like in the middle of the island and so we're on that a lot but then we're going off on the Island Walk The Island Walk takes you out on the perimeter and you have to ride some roads and stuff but today we've just been on this confederation Trail so far today yeah which is nice because it's easy to follow no but hardly anybody out here yeah it's nice peaceful but we did meet Rhonda and Christian from Phoenix that's great unbelievable all right [Music] foreign [Music] you guys we stopped by the Potato Museum here in O'Leary which I would just like to say when we stopped at that covered bridge that town heart land yep um they had a factory tour by Covered Bridge potato chips because it's there and then when we get here we bought a bag of them the potato chips that they sell here are from that Heartland and I remembered and they were super good I'm telling they were delicious I mean these are really there are none left we ate it all yeah anyway um so Donna who works in here let us Camp right here for free just throw up our tents what kind of tire is kind of hot and we're like yeah we had a big plan to go further but and we're just kind of tired just kind of wanted down but we're just getting started you know you got to break yourself back immediately so anyway Donna said we could pitch our tent right here there's a picnic table and we have our backpacking food that we're carrying and we're eating potatoes at the Potato Museum okay what kind of stuff just doesn't happen accidentally so we had a great day today you guys um it was pretty it's really pretty it's really um flat yeah I mean I knew it was flat because it's an island well you know it's relaxing and nice so all right we're gonna get out early in the morning and just go start up because the mornings are just beautiful I'm in really beautiful so tomorrow we'll get off onto the coast see the Island Walk will take you out off of this uh the rail trail and you have to ride roads but it takes you out on the coast and that's going to be cool we're going to go all the way up to North Cape and around it and then there's a free Camp spot up there um dude on the beach yeah so we're gonna go try to find that okay we're gonna check it out if you know fun assuming it's fine it's fun to look for those little Treasures people are so nice gosh all right check in later okay we're gonna show you guys uh a map of what we're following the little guide uh map thing that we're following so there's two different Trails so we're going to show you this one first this is a rail trail that goes um across the island from tip to tip it's called so it starts up here at the tip and it runs all the way up to here and it looks like there's some trails that go down this way too but this is called the Confederation Trill and it's a rail trail so people kind of get confused if if we're writing this um Trail but we are hold on a minute we are writing part of this but we're doing the island walk trail so I'm going to show you that map and you can see how it's different Federation Trail is is very well known the island walk trail is not well known people here on Pei are like the what yeah so the Island Walk is is really designed almost like a Camino like a long distance hike where you can hike the perimeter of the island this confederation Trail is about 170 miles it's 273 kilometers 100 trails it's for good on a road yep it's totally a great Trail hard pack the Island Walk is 700 kilometers and 435 Miles because you're doing the whole pretty much the perimeter of the island so we are riding this Trail some but we're doing more and I'm going to show you this map to the Island Walk yeah so this is the map of the Island Walk so you could see um it goes around the perimeter and then it catches it hooks in with this um Confederation Trail but then it'll cut off see this is the Confederation Trail this is kind of where we are but this will go all the way up to this cape back around and then you hook back in and then so and then it also takes you all the way on these Coast um parts of the island so that's what we're trying to do we're trying to follow and here's the signs for that you see there's there's little signposts that tell us which where the route is so we're doing we're trying to do that Island walk and get out there on those coastal areas a little bit so anyway we love it [Music] foreign [Music] thank you foreign a harbor I can't pronounce you meaning sweet I have a little cup of coffee I love it [Music] foreign [Music] thanks for all you guys you guys give us good tips to stop and look at stuff so somebody said to stop by Stomping Tom that he's a legend here so here we are I'm gonna turn it around here here's a restaurant here but it's not open yeah it's closed but here's the information on him [Music] and here's the little building but it is not open yet we're up early and it's things that don't open till later but [Music] look and we're at this cute little Farm Stand kind of the honor System put your little money there we bought some snacking cucumbers some carrots I think that's it I would love to buy these beets but you just can't really cook them we have to use the change we just got which is cool and we have puppies look at those green beans I know you could probably just eat those just like that there's our Goods yeah so we're up here on the North Cape we just got off our bikes for a minute we just want to walk around a little bit look at this so here's the island sign and here's a little Boardwalk [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign foreign we're dipping our feet in the Gulf of St Lawrence love it look at the Lighthouse behind us we put our hats on because it's so sun and sunny hot there's Nettie waiting out kind of Rocky [Music] foreign [Music] ergy we were sitting on the side of the road we have a headwind a really strong headwind you guys a little bit of a climb but you know there's no hardly much climb but it's just a small climb but Against the Wind makes it a huge climb with Dylan yeah for exactly in biking shape you know which makes sense because we haven't been biking we're tired we always in our head we always think oh yeah we could go out and ride 100k we're doing 85k today when we get we have about I don't know 10 more K 10 more kilometers and then we're going to stop at Alberton but anyway it's raining on us a little bit it's kind of humid and foggy so you can see we're kind of blurry in this camera because it's just kind of wet all right [Music] thank you foreign hey guys hi we're walking downtown Alberton Alberton so we rode 85 kilometers today which is like 53 miles something like that and um up over the cape it's fun but anyway we pushed so when we left the cape we had like 36 kilometers but it was Against the Wind anyway um but we're not quite in shape either yet because you know we just got back on our advice we have a really good bike ride pitiful we're just tired so we're like let's push and get to Alberton so we get here and somebody says go go see that group of people down there um at the bakery that's the place to go so we go down there and there's a group of older guys and they um are all sitting out on the porch talking and laughing and so we hung out with them some oh they were so fun so fun so they were like well if you need this you go here you need that and I said was there a place to camp here pitch our tent up and Randy said see that purple house right there next to the bakery you can pitch it right there in the backyard isn't it amazing right so we're right next to the bakery which opens it sinks beautiful beautiful house and beautiful yard so we have our tent over there and then they said if you want to hang out there's a door there that goes down in the lower part of the house if you want to shower we just took showers so um this is we feel like we learned this on doing those through hikes if you plan your trip in every detail of it it's that's what it's going to be but if you step out there like a leap of faith and let it unfold it is BET way better than you could ever plant way better don't you thinking that oh yeah it's just fun it's fun to meet people and people are so kind they're so kind it's just amazing how it unfolds it's just you couldn't ask for more like a better plan we just got to take showers at the house when you're like hot and grimy yes the shower just like it's like a miracle America anyways they all wanted us to walk down here to this North Port to see the boat so we are we're walking down we need to walk because the the guys said you guys should walk down there because it looks like you need some exercise we do we need to walk we need to get off that bike and walk anyway so we're gonna go down here and see the boats so this is our campsite for the night can't get much better than that we're just here and in this backyard right here bakeries right over there opens at six a.m life is good stop [Music]
