philip loved it can't wait to see everyone's reaction back at la land hi i'm ed and i'm anna we run a wedding business from ed's family's 15th century chateau near bordeaux on this channel you'll get special guests that are gonna have breakfast with us and i've set up a little table with some patisseries a bit of tea coffee for me and i can't wait to see them we're in the morning and we have had coffee already yes i've had coffee already i can only have one a day otherwise i get a bit agitated you can only go with four a day otherwise i don't wake up that whole pots for me and i will get that sounds fun i haven't had one for absolutely ages oh this is so good i don't know why i don't wake up like this every day i think if i lived here i get up in the morning you walk all the time so i we just sat here by the tower and then oh my goodness but the gates here there's some gates i never knew there were gates down there it's an old book i can't believe it look at the gates here yes i can see through the kitchen i never knew there was gates here i i know that name uh uh colin the besac the besac family yeah they were the owners here at one time oh seriously but there's something that everybody's missed what there's no tree now that oh that is not because the tree wasn't there it's the artistic uh talents of this tree i didn't even well that's why there's never really any kind of you know those kind of photos that they take of from that angle because you wouldn't see the chateau and so the guy who's done this has actually had he used a bit of artistic talent and removed the tree i didn't know i didn't even notice i only noticed the gates because for me like i i recognized the tower i recognized the town how old do you think the tree is uh it came back with a crusade so hundreds of years old i'll tell you 500 because this is from 1908. we had some lebanese um clients and they confirmed that it was like hundreds yes yes you can never be sure but we're talking four to six pleasure [Music] because i know that you haven't got much of the history or something like that's when i found that i was quite i love it i think you said that the gates are not there no there there are no gates they're the gates here on the side but we i've never known that there were gates there unless if it was i had an inkling that there were gates that had been been here before because um when i opened these kind of uh old larder things that are in front of the the kitchen over there when i open the kind of lintels on top underneath i found like pointy bits of stone and they'd literally cut the gates up and use them for that so that's ridiculous you made a little discovery well if you ever want to reinstate them you know where they are or some of them i think you need to reinstate the cows oh yes yes there's three cows there look out there oh my goodness i love it that is beautiful and then we i mean there's like the history there and we need to print it out and make it big and then have it in the chat yeah it's phillip who found it he's really good at sort of whimpling out the history of things i'd love it i'm very happy you like it it's really it's really nice for us because um i'm on the battle of that as well it's because um the history unfortunately was one of the old old earners took the history with him which we don't really understand because it's not our history it's not his history yeah but at least we've got a little bit of history though oh this is something we're going to take this again because philip we have a little surprise for you okay it's been there for like six seven years in my desk area in your desk area is that a little bit inconvenient for yourself a little so it hasn't been working for the last six years so i last time i was in border i was about to buy a taxidermied squirrel which i was actually horrified by so i'm just putting that out there i was worried about one taxidermied squirrel i'm not going to see you both it needs i think it needs renovation and and i think you need to look into how to renovate it that's why we've not touched it right yeah we didn't want to go wild with a hoover or something yeah so that's it which one are you phillip stephen you you can bring that one it's good [Applause] that one looks like it's had too much squirrel wine when that squirrel wine i was like yes this has to be wood who knows or a mahogany wood i mean you definitely like it or paint it i think one of them there's something fishy going on what i don't get is obviously somebody's put a lot of time and effort into this but they put a lot of time and effort and even if we kind of i suppose maybe that was maybe it just doesn't stand up well even put this thing on the base and it still doesn't stand out you know space is like cardboard yeah they didn't they didn't finish it off completely your room is now officially going to be the lalang natural history museum oh yes because we found a badger as well yeah i've got a stuffed butter you can be at the is really funny because the badger is like in walking motion so from the back you can just like you see his ass like perked up it's really funny and he keeps putting it in my office he keeps like sneaking in there and i keep taking it away and the first thing i see when i go to work in the morning is a badger's bottom literally we've taken it away now because my desk is there yeah yeah so now i see you instead of the badges i don't know which is worse i don't mean anything about i mean in a good way i'm glad actually i was scared you wouldn't i actually really like it so i don't think i would ever get anything taxidermy myself but at all you see something you're waiting for someone thank you look how we did after getting like no no whatever i mean is i would never get something taxidermied myself like a pet or something but when i'm in my use you see them they're very unloved and it just makes me a bit sad so i are actually going to love all of them yes but i will be partial to the squirrels the squirrels are numbered will you give them names we should shouldn't we but we've already named anna so anna ed how like that's it that said i'm like i'm smiling on the inside what's the collective noun for owls again i think it's parliament yeah parliament that is you now own a parliament of owls that a seagull's wandered into yes and oh i know what's happening it's like a trial there's a parliament of owls i love that they're discussing the naughtiness of the seagull and the squirrels are onlookers with snacks there's a jury waiting oh my god this is like we're never going to stop having fun about that oh my goodness i'll be like steph how's the trial going what were you saying about the seagull well it looks like the seagull used to be on the uh bottom bit of the tree oh because yes there's a little bit there oh come on philip are you seriously doing historical investigations on where the animals used to be placed on the branch of the tree i could understand it if it was a masterpiece it is we have seven uh not animals is it animals yes seven animals there congregated that's a lot of animals yeah there's a lot of stuffed animals in one place i'm gonna hide them just around the chateau if i take them off we'll be like try and find them okay i'll be a seagull oh yes i'll scare everyone oh my god i really can't do it because she will be absolutely she should be the first one nothing oh no he won't do it wink wink phillip do it kill me you should do to marry marie doing the flower arrangement and you wouldn't
