Ender 3 start screen beeping fix

hey everybody i just want to make a quick video if you have an ender 3 and yours is doing this i just bought this and i put it together and this is what i'm left with first time starting it looks like it's stuck in a boot loop so um i took the cover off here um you know where the nozzles at and the heater and everything uh so i just want to show you what i found and maybe this is a possible fix for you let's shut that off let's get a close-up so right here is the thermostat and let's go ahead and take it off okay so i've got a better position so this right here is the thermostat and from my understanding there's a screw that's in here and these two wires they just judge resistance and that's how they can tell what the temperature is of the block so that's how they know to kick the heater on and off and if this grounds out to the heater block there's a safety that go ahead and cuts this out be so careful guys touch a really tiny screw so right here if it grounds out at the bottom this is what causes the issue that i understand so let's go ahead and pull it out love you love you all right so you can see right here there's some exposed wires right there and that's exactly where it goes into here so let's take this out just like this and let's turn it on okay so the error is gone so now we need to make sure we get this back in properly and it does not ground out so let's just be very ultra careful okay so i'm going to turn the machine off so it's off now and what i'm going to try to do is get this to not settle all the way at the bottom because i think that's what it's doing when i tighten the screw it's just kind of pushing downward and that's grounding it out okay this is really hard to see but right here it's pressing it down and what i want to do is i want to push that back up in there the wires just a little bit this is not exactly simple okay there we go so i've got some well okay so it's off the bottom now it's up in there okay let's see if this works okay so we've put the screw back in i've adjusted it one more time right here you can see that there and i've done it pretty gingerly when you do it as lightly as possible so let's go ahead and give it another shot let's take a look okay so now it's working so it was this all along and it looks like it was just grounded out somehow to the block and i just had to adjust it and play around with it so it was touching somewhere in here and maybe somewhere in the insulation but i hope that helps somebody this is actually up under the cover here that's how that would look so madeline you don't have to crawl anyways i hope this helps somebody maybe get your machine up and running if you just bought it and you uh don't know what's going on so thanks everybody don't forget to like and subscribe we'll see in the next one
