significant improvement over the previous model it is more compact efficient and easier to service the Breather is a small hole in the top of the Drive Unit that allows air to circulate if water gets to the Drive Unit it will not be able to enter the gearbox unless it goes over the Breather this is because the Breather is located at the highest point of the dry 5 unit so any water that gets to it will be forced out this design feature helps to protect the gearbox from water damage if water were to enter the gearbox it could damage the gears and bearings which could lead to failure by
