Elegoo Neptune 4 Max firmware update

hi it's long from gole Tech and today going to talk about how we can update the firmware for the Neptune for marks I usually not excited about new firmware anyway if the system works I just let it work but I did get some problem so here is the piece that is supposed to be print out the nepon format nice and beautiful but what happened is the first P it come out like did after couple layer it just sto there and they say and when you restart the machine it say that a system out there so I thought maybe it's that the problem so I preprinted and I got the same thing the same layer um the same height so I thought maybe the slicer because with this I use the eligo slicer I change it to Ala slicer and you get what it got the same thing here so it mean that there's something with the system and I said okay I haven't updated the software the firmware from the time I got the Neptune forance last year so this is the chance and I check on the internet there's not so many like video Clearly say about for the neptun format only so here's the one I download the firware and then I check the the manual and everything so I can give you a step by step instruction so first of all let's go download the firmware so here is the website of elu if you go to download Center here you can look for the firmware of the neun form Mark is right the first one so should go to 3D printer you can see in the firware they have uh two version 2.65 and 2.64 uh you can download the first package the 65 is the newer one download to your computer and then unzip it inside the firmware folder you will see the firmware pack the fix pack and the screen firmware is the three things that we need to update it there's also instru instruction for you to check um usually if you have any version that order the one of 1.2.2 64 you need to update with the fix box first then you can update the firmware remember that older than 1.2.2 64 go with Fishback first and how you do it you go to Fishback you see the ELO update directory you need to copy that whole directory to your uh USB from the root of it like I have the usb. use for this I copy it here it will take some time because it have a big file of 300 make so after you have this thing ready we going to update the fix back into the printer after blocking the USB into your printer you can go to setting then go go to about machine there then then you can click on the blue button down there on the bottom for it to update the fix pack you need to wait for it to finish to check if the fix pack is install correctly you can look at the eligo update directory in the USB after you install it you will see the fix slipper suceed and fix T right there it mean that is done correctly so after you install the fix back you're going to do the same step to update the firmware but the same thing you you have to remove the old um folder in your USB first and then copy the new folder in this is for the firware and then again do the same type of operate like you did before with the fix pack so that's is done with the firware now we need to do the next step which is operating the the firware or the software for the UI you can check on the file there the tou phone whereare this this one only you have to do it if your version is older than the version that they have there in the folder I download it will version 1 something2 my uh printer was something8 so I should update it so let's go do that now for the screen firware the version they have here is 1.2.12 you need to update it if you have your version is less than that my is 1.2.8 so I wanted to update it to need new one to do this you just need to copy this file here into your micro SD card micro SD card okay because that's how you can install it into the controller copy this to your micro SD card then you will need to open the uh controller first unblock it from the printer of course then remove all of the screws and then you can see the car right there you can put your SD card right in micro SD card right in there then of course close everything back I I not even close it I just use it over there I plug it back into the 3D printer and uh I just start the machine the moment is work on you will see there's um uh message about like updating phw okay they are driving data right now wait for the white is going to finish and then that you done when the data is this when you get the update sued mean that you done to go so that's it that all is finished now what you should do next is restart the printer so I was so happy with that um when I go to setting and check my uh machine I got it here I got everything up to that like the 1.2. 2.65 and 1 2.2 so I'm happy and I try to to print again the same piece that I talk with you and guess what I got here uh this happen is because when you install the firware somehow the calibration data were lost so you have to recalibrate it again and with the new firmware you could see that they use one um instead of 121 points of uh Auto leveling they use only 36 point now so the process going to be faster so those are the step for you to update the firmware of the neton format first update the fix pack if you have old uh firware like M then update the firware then update the firware the screen using the micro SD card and finally you will need to um releveling the bed because the all data got deleted when you've update the firmware and eventually you will get the print out nice and beautiful again like this one I hope the video is food for you with your Cher Printing and if you have any question can put in
