we're gonna be showing you how to assemble the 60-foot I'm baack arrow star time meter for this job we used to Bobcats although a tractor with forks or a loader would work just as well this is a two-man job ideally you'd have a third for when you get into the hydraulics I'll show that as we move along in the video first things first you're gonna want to grab the warranty information attached to the main frame of the tine weeder fill this out get it back to us as soon as possible by far the easiest way to set up the 60-foot tiny meter and anytime reader is to unload everything from the pallet and get the wheels on the wheels always face to the outside I know it goes without saying but make sure you put the stand on the back the most time-consuming part of the entire process I would say that hydraulics is attaching the wings first off you want to remove the pins from the main frame of the assembly use a bolt or find an easier way to do this contact us we need to know what you want to do is make sure that you've got these things lifted use a strap your tractor your Bobcat and then put this wheel in when you put the wheel and it gives you a little bit of leverage so your second guy can adjust it and slip that pin in and now at this time you're gonna need to use a little bit of coaxing as you can see here they don't just slide in but you should get it with fairly minimal effort and then we're using our Bobcat you can also use a tractor obviously adjust the hydraulics and get this last pin in and you're ready to move on to baskets is it true that farmers get a little overzealous from time to time don't do what we did here and unclip the hydraulic lines just leave them there get the ones out of the way that you need to get out of the way there's zip-tied there for a reason we're gonna attach one last connection point and then we're gonna extend this thing fully and we'll get on to installing the baskets for the tine sections we've got this thing unfolding and we're going to put these on and match the numbers you cannot just randomly put each basket in any location it has to go 3 2 3 2 2 2 etc etc and this is because if you look at the ends when you set them up you're gonna have black sections and those determine the spacing of the tine weeder sections one other important piece is a bonus right here we've got the bushing on the inside let's hear from guest speakers guys why that bushing needs to go on the inside towards the frame okay Scott well once we get that back on put the basket section back on hammer the pin in and we're good to move on to the next step okay bushings to the inside on baskets one and twelve and then you're gonna put these giant pins in on five six seven and eight every other basket section on this machine the 60 foot model that we're setting up today is gonna have the smaller pins these big giant pins come separate you need to make sure they go on five six seven and eight step for putting the actual tine sections on we were hooking these up to the first link this is the part where if you've got three guys two of them can be working on this and the other guy to be following behind hooking up the hydraulics in this video we're gonna skip over the hydraulics because it's fairly self-explanatory but for right now one thing that you got to make sure is you take these little plastic sleeve protectors and attach them near the top end of the baskets because that's going to protect where your you pole is going and you cannot skip the u-bolts it takes two guys maybe you find an easier way to do this we didn't taste you guys one gotta hold it up the other guy to go underneath attach the bolts and then put the u-bolt on to the time section it's probably pretty boring skip ahead if you need to oK we've got all the tine sections on here we're just gonna make some last tightening adjustments do not mess with these they are preset so if you have to adjust something make sure that you're not changing the positioning of the u-bolts on the back side of the basket section Mark's just tightening I'm here and then Scott's gonna come in and have a word on linkage so we've got everything set up we're gonna set up the linkage and then the hydraulics here we go all right so you're gonna get a whole bunch of linkage drive that things like six of them and the one with the bushing here goes way out on the outer wing here on this 60 footer they do not bolt these Forks don't bolt over they actually bolt inside and that's to allow movement otherwise he'll you know that head you'll hit he'll be in interference good word choice thank you all right then you get more rods one's gonna be a special type of head here where there's basically low clearance this one's gonna go out from the third basket and it's gonna connect to the second basket and then their bait you're gonna undo this bolt these two are gonna interlock and then they're also gonna hook onto the basket and then way down there at the end down there that one will connect to the mainframe and that'll be a stationary which is gonna cause the other baskets to pivot when you raise the wings okay so baskets three four five eight nine and ten are gonna have kind of a double linkage actually just notice on top of the basket nine there's three paint marks there's gonna be paint marks onion your linkages as well so that's another way to identify here's your fixed end here on the main frame then as you go out on the wing these two overlap and then out there is your where the linkage ends you want to make sure that you have the area where there's no bald head back towards the frame they will look in like such the end all right so we've got the linkage assembled I'm gonna walk down to the end here give you a closer view if you need to pause the video to look at how we've got this you can go ahead and do so I would recommend watching this twice before setting this up we made a mistake of just setting it up how we thought or guessed and then we tried to raise this up and some things were bending so we had to set it back down so make sure you do this right again hook up the hydraulics obviously it goes foul saying and you are good to go so this is the 60-foot time reader it's a little bit of a unit can't wait to get this thing in the field you get some more footage of it the total assembly process - the hydraulics which can take a little while took us about three hours there's a three-man job you could do it with - you're just gonna save a little bit of time if you can have a third guy doing some odds and ends while you're setting up the basket sections as well as the tines on this now obviously we skipped a few parts in this video you'll discover them as you go along the main thing is you follow this process you really can't go wrong if you guys need one of these feel free to contact me my name is Tyler my cell phone number six one two three zero nine seven
