Eichler Home Tour in Sacramento California!

Hello friends and welcome today I'm so excited to show you an Iker [Music] home Joseph Leopold Iker was a 20th century post-war American Real Estate developer known for distinctive residential subdivisions of mid-century modern style track housing in California he was an advocate for bringing modern architecture from Custom residences and large corporate buildings to General Public availability the Sacramento ERS built from 1955 to 1956 were designed by architect Jones and Emmons these homes feature open Living Spaces flat or low gabled roofs and indoor outdoor attitude that typify Iker homes built on a little over a quter acre located on South Lake Land Park Drive this house features four bedrooms 2 and 1/2 baths and 1934 ft of living space this house has an asking price of $1,150,000 [Music] all right here we are in the main living space of this ecler home I'm so excited to show you this room it has such an open feel it creates that sensation of open space while still being cozy at the same time you'll notice here there there's some steel beams going from ceiling to floor as well as wooden beams coming across the ceiling over here we can make our way to this television setup which I think is super cool the owner didn't want to have a television as a feature of a room so she covered it with this homage to the 1970s when TV would end at 11:00 so I think that's such a fun little touch to this room over here this is really neat this is quartz countertop with some recycled glass in it so this glass in the in the countertop is from recycled commercial buildings which I think is a really cool touch over here we'll make our way to show you the glass behind me this is a a newer Edition as well this is dual pane ceiling to floor glass that's been installed to really let that natural light come in over here you'll see what they did with the wall is actual Real Redwood instead of just having some wallpaper or paint so I love that this is had added in this is not just wood paneling this is real Redwood that's been put in so wonderful touch to this room now I want to head into the bedroom to show you the layout of the rest of the [Music] house here we are in the primary bedroom of this Iker home such an abundance of natural light just Flows In I love these giant dual pane windows that I mentioned earlier just creates this open feel natural lighting still has these wooden beams as well as the main living space the cork flooring is really unique I've never really toured that many houses with cork flooring it has a nice little bit it's still hard but it doesn't create that cement feel so it has just really nice wood cork flooring throughout this bathroom has been added on so this didn't used to be here this was a bathroom that has been extended on this side of the house I love the heated tile if you've never experienced heated tile it's such a wonderful touch especially in the winters here now if you take a look over here you'll see the closet space that has put in where the original bathroom was so the original bathroom was taken out these closets put in and then the new bathroom has been extended which I just showed let's go take a look at the bedrooms now throughout the house as we enter the guest bedroom here what I really like about this room is that it has a glass lighting door with direct access to the atrium near the front of the house this window is actually protected with p a Privacy Film so you can't see inside this room from the outside really nice feature to have the guests be able to come in and out without going through the main living space and as we head behind me we're going to check out the second bedroom here as we enter in the next bedroom it's currently being used as an exercise room what I like about these different from bedrooms is that they've used the original closet doors from when the house was built they just refurbished them so a wonderful touch to encapsulate that mid century feel while modernizing a little bit keeping it nice and clean now I'm going to show you the bathroom that's connected next to these two bedrooms which I've just shown so here we are entering the guest bathroom that pink really brings out that mid-century feel very simple bathroom but nice clean space love it this is really neat here this washer dryer is a stackable washer dryer it actually plugs into a 110 so uh you don't see these quite as often you can plug these in anywhere really neat so now we'll head out to show you the office [Music] space as we enter in the next bedroom it's currently being used as an office it could also be a bedroom as well nice and simple and Sleek I love that there's still some natural light that's able to come in through the sides as well as these original closet doors you have wonderful space for an office or an extra bedroom so that's about the inside of the house let's go take a look outside now as we walk outside we enter this really cool outdoor living area I love this retractable awning it creates so much shade and you can close it as needed it actually has a wind sensor so if you leave it out and the wind picks up it'll close on its own this outdoor living area is so neat because you have access from the main area here in the living room as well as the primary bedroom behind me so really have easy access in and out wherever you are within the house this pool area is a saltwater pool and hot tub with waterfalls in the back as well as a fire feature which is really cool at night over here we're going to head over to the outdoor seating area where you can have dinner meals or just even just have a nice cup of coffee on the side of the house all right as we walk to the side of the house you'll notice this outdoor dining area what I think is really neat what they've done with this steel enclosure behind me is they put the trash cans and the grill behind it so anything they didn't want featured wherever they are in the house has creative covering around it on the side of the pool there's some really cool features as well for [Music] entertainment all right here we are with the setup for an Entertainer's dream you have a green a cornhole setup but one of my favorite features of this house I think all Pool owners should think about it if you have an ability to build an outdoor bathroom with access from the outside such a wonderful feature to have guests being able to walk in another bathroom without going inside the house so right behind me you'll see this outdoor bathroom setup this is completely separate from the inside of the house so guests can just use this bathroom without having to go inside and [Music] out all right friends that concludes my tour of this Iker home
