Efren fought hard for the W. With that lead, it was Strickland's match to win- how many 9 ball players would overcome that difference in pool history on day 3 against a prime Strickland?
Not many.
Efren is not just a great all around cueist, it took heart to win that.

Damn you, TheBuddha777, I had things to do and I just finished watching a three-hour video. A pool video. And holy-cow-lovin' Hindus, nine-ball, my least favorite, and I watched it. All. Of. It.
Thank you for putting it in my view. I'd upvote you twice if I could.
Truthfully, I prefer watching snooker, but this was epic.
I've read a fair amount about Reyes and Strickland, and it confirms for me that Efren deserves all the praise of his admirers. As for Strickland, in this case, his talent and hard work will never make me forget what I saw those last three racks.
Maaaan, everyone has the same look in their eyes when seriously looking at a table. I love it.
Strickland is leading 105-93 (race to 120) when he misses a nine ball, leaving Reyes a long bank. Reyes makes it, then snaps the nine on the next break to make it 105-95. Reyes' break had improved from the previous sessions, and although he had run a few racks, Strickland was still in stroke and an overwhelming favorite with such a big lead. This nine ball seemed like the turning point to me.
