namaskan welcome to another episode of editorial so I'm going to talk to you about the prime minister of India SRI Narendra modi's speech yesterday in the Lok Sabha he spoke for two hour 13 minutes to me his speech and what he wanted to say and what he communicated out of that speech was very very clear and I am going to tell you what that's my editorial tonight let's get right into the show so Bulk Office 2 hour 13 minutes and most of the topics that he spoke about the overriding thing in most of those topics was Congress and the gandhis so before I start even decoding what he said let me tell you one thing is very very clear the prime minister of India in the Lok Sabha on one of the most crucial speeches in India in the last at least five years one of the most crucial speeches the overriding factor was Congress and the gandhis what that made me realize is that the most important party for bharatiya janatha party the biggest competitor for a bharatiya janatha party and one of the parties that bharathia party is really concerned about is the Congress and the biggest competitor for Mr Narendra damodardas Modi today in India is Rahul gandhis and the gandhis this was absolutely clear in a speech everything he said revolved around it for instance he started by saying that Gandhi is divided India into three I presume he's talking about Pakistan Bangladesh and India we Gandhi divided us into three he spoke about how Gandhi likes Dynasty politics he said we have always opposed dynastic politics but the Congress like parivar was and all of that so here again he talked about Gandhi's taking aim at the gandhis on the speech on Wednesday he said that Lanka was not set Ablaze by Hanuman but by his ignorance Modi agreed that this is true that is why people of this country have behaved like RAM and ended the arrogance from 400 seats are now down to 40 seats so that's what he said what he need to understand is yesterday arrogance was Congress today hurricanes could be somebody else today yesterday 400 to 40 today 303 could go down to or you know go down to a particular number so this could happen to any party that's not the point the point is the point is that his Total Focus his Total Focus I would say total focus yes was Gandhi's Congress rest everything was revolving around it in fact his achievements also was admired by his by his intention to talk more about the Congress and the gandhis so one thing is for sure you see as a marketing person I know that whenever a brand owner whenever a brand owner is given a platform to talk about a crucial topic or talk about his brand the most the the single largest thing he will speak about after his own brand is his major competitor Pepsi will talk about Coke and Coke we'll talk about Pepsi Pepsi or Coke may not talk about uh XYZ Cola which is operating in that market because it doesn't matter to them and he also spoke spoke about India but he was not that concerned about India India when I say that that acronym of the opposition India he was asking parties as to Baba why are you taking such kind of leadership which he meant why are you taking leadership of Congress so India he was not very concerned about Congress he was concerned about point that I am trying to make is very very clear that Congress is something that the prime minister of India is focused on and very very focused on so that's Point number one now let us talk about what he spoke about the rest of the things most importantly what he spoke about Manipur and let us deep dive into uh that he started by saying that yesterday Amit Bhai that is Amit Shah said that an order came from the high court of Manipur which saw a sequence of event that led to violence in the state many families lost their loved ones terrible crimes were committed against women and this is condemnable this is how he started off he went on to say that to punish the perpetrators both Central and the state government are trying their best I want to assure all citizens that all our efforts are underway and peace will soon be restored Manipur will move forward with the new Atma vishwas self-confidence towards development soon I also want to tell the people of Manipur to the women daughters and sisters that the country is with you and this house is with you together we will confront this Challenge and bring back peace I want to tell Manipur that we are trying our best to ensure Manipur moves forward soon he also went on to say that if they had agreed that is the opposition at a grade Shah's request we would have had a good discussion Shah gave a detailed statement yesterday and the country was shocked by the lies spread by the opposition situation in Manipur he went on to say we had said come and discuss Manipur the home minister even wrote a letter but there was no intention or courage that is he was referring to the opposition now what he said is very important because this is something that you know I had tweeted three four days back to the end of the day you know I think the government will find some way or another to put Manipur into either nehru's make it into a nehru's problem or congress problem or UPA problem I I was morally sure about it and that's exactly what he said he said manipur's problems are being presented as if these problems have started recently as I explained extensively yesterday the Genesis of the problem in Northeast in is Congress the Genesis of the problem of Northeast is Congress it is not the people of Northeast but the Congress politics that is responsible for this situation he said you have never tried to understand the emotions of Northeast he said Congress you many congress okay I have visited Northeast 50 times this is not just data this is dedication towards Northeast is what the Prime Minister says and he also went on to say that whose government was there in Manipur when Mahatma Gandhi's picture was not allowed in government offices whose government was there in Manipur when the decision not to allow the national anthem in schools were taken what they meant is all this is congress's Fault this is broadly what he said you see now let us first talk about what the Prime Minister said about Manipur I think the prime minister has given a lot of assurances but has not given a plan the Prime Minister has given a lot of sound bites good sound bites but not a plan the Prime Minister claims to have gone to Manipur 50 times during I don't know whatever occasions but has not gone there once during these last four months when Manipur was bleeding he has not justified why he didn't go or why he couldn't go the Prime Minister depended a lot on his home minister to have spoken about Manipur but didn't really tell the parliament as to why he didn't want to speak on Manipur or why he wasn't present when Manipur was discussed this is something that the Prime Minister never said now uh that is one end of the story you see somewhere down the line it is enough of blaming the previous governments so first five years you understand previous governments first after 10 years you're still blaming the previous government a lot of a lot of people may ask me 60 years of government 70 years of government why couldn't you know obviously it is going to take time 60 years of governments of some some other government you that means the new government will take another 60 years to repair the 60-year problem is that how it works in that case thousands of years of problems of India Congress should have taken another thousand years to repair it isn't it because our problem started with the mughals then 100 Years of British ruled Congress should have taken another 100 years to repair those hundred years is that logic would you agree to it if you agree to this then you should agree to that isn't it I mean that's not how it works somewhere down the line we need to draw a line somewhere trying down the line we need to say stop it this is it can't go further okay so those answers were not given now I also tell you that Mahatma Gandhi's picture my God so many things were said done about Mahatma Gandhi did our prime minister ever stand up and say listen I am not going to allow this I'm going to sack the person who says that is a is a martyr that person was an MP that person is still with janta party and we are saying that we are changing the state and we are talking about Mahatma Gandhi I find it surprising so these are my points now um he spoke about now let's talk about other things what he spoke about he said India will be the third largest economy in the world by next no confidence motion it's possibly true also I will not say that you know he had said that India will be a fighting economy by 2024. I am not going to say that he spoke about two crore jobs uh uh per year he I I'm not going to say all that this possibly may come true we may be the third largest economy but by by 2028 but we will be the third largest economy by 2020 728 with or without a BJP even if a Congress or a India or any other party is in Helm we will still reach that that figure 3.54 growth we will still become the third largest economy in the country in the world there is no question about it now let me be honest with you has contributed to to the economic growth of the country they have they have contributed so has UPA so has UPA so has atal bihari vajpayee's NDA and I think the start point was the rousing sarkar the rousing government of India of the 1990s was that which taught us to think economic superpower to think number one number two number three status like Kapil they have taught us to win the World Cup they taught us to win or to to think big so when we talk about Economic Development we should talk we should take a holistic view of that if you are fair if you are fair we should take a holistic view out of that our run-up started with rousing government and it's been steady there were some flaws made by atal bihari vajpayee there were some flaws by manwan Singh governments and there have been enough and more Flaws by Narendra Modi government also in in in certain economic decisions that being said overall they all performed OK and that is why we are reaching where we are reaching and to my mind the next government that will come will also do some flaws but overall I think we will manage and we will still be number three in the world so number three is not any single government's credit number three is the collective credit of every government of India that's the point I wanted to make let's go further okay he spoke about his vision and he said that Congress lacks planned vision and understanding of the economy importance he noted that during UPS rule poverty in India increased however since 2014 India has risen to be among the world's top five economies The Point again which I made by becoming the top five economy in the world that has not definitely improved a common man's life in a in in the streets of India a man a common man the economy could be huge our GDP could be skyrocketing but it has not affected the Common Man for two reasons a lot of people wrote some huge paragraphs in my last editorial about this for the simple reason that because normally when we speak about GDP we speak about formal economy India has a whole lot of people whole lot of people who still survive in the informal economy those people are not included in this large growth plan of the formal economy and the GDP so when you talk about GDP it doesn't mean that the Common Man of India is is flourishing it doesn't mean that and I don't have to put any like I said last time I say this now I don't have to put any wages and I don't have to put any challenges and all that you ask yourself are you happy than what you were before and have you made lots of money have you got a huge savings in your bank if you have then great I'm wrong you are right and if you don't then well what I'm saying makes sense that's what I would say he spoke about HAL LIC success Modi said that despite opposition's allegation has Hal has emerged as a pride of the country in recording the highest ever Revenue this is what he said and he also went on to say that they said many things about LIC that the money of the poor will sink but today LIC is getting stronger this is what he says both cases both cases I would say Hal yes did a fantastic job Kudos now if the government decides to take credit fantastic I think they they have the right to take credit so there I have nothing to say as far as LIC is concerned LIC has always been something that every government has been criticized about it is every government has been criticized for misusing LIC so as bharati's and party government criticization so there is nothing new and LIC somehow has always produced results even previously it has produced results even now it is producing results so again there is what I am trying to say is there is no unique uh differentiation there is nothing unique where you say the great you know this is something that we've done this is something that we have done economic liberalization Rao Singh can say this is what we have done it was never there before we did it and it made a difference rousing can say that I don't think anybody else any other government can have that kind of a claim where you say that listen we made a sea change difference the growth is going on and every government should take credit for the growth that we are achieving at least growth in paper and in in in graphs and all that that growth we all all governments should take that credit so that's that's there and uh of course then there were few statements uh of course he spoke about Congress arrogance and to be very honest with you I found this speech to be a little arrogant when you know things like you know thinking about opposition move against him when he was talking about oppositions moves against him the opposition has an ostrich-like approach I thank its leaders for wearing black in the house as I see that as kalatica I convert abuses unparliamentary language hurled at me by them into tonic the opposition secret power anyone for whom it wishes ill gets blessed instead so he condescend it now the point is I think while opposition has been behaving unruly there is no doubt about it I will not dis I will not disagree to that what he's saying is correct but the Prime Minister should also see his people talking in the pan the way his people his Member of Parliament speaks in the in the parliament if he's trying to be fair if he's trying to be a prime minister then he has to see both so if he sees his partyman he may change this opinion I I I think he will change his opinion but well it is up to up to him he said that Congress is tarnishing India's image and so on and so forth I don't think these are important factors that we could discuss but that's what he said I will end this editorial by saying that 2 hours 13 minutes he spoke a lot but I didn't find much of content which I was looking for because I wanted to know how is it going to affect a middle class life how is from India from here on going to change my life am I going to get Better Health Care better education facilities for my family is my family going to lead a little better life is there a plan for that is there something that you are going to give me which which will which will enhance the quality of my life because every time prime minister comes he is only taken away from me be demonetization be GST he has taken away from me I was hoping that he gives me something for a change that is what I was hoping I was hoping for him to come out and say that listen you know what I have done done three four five six seven eight nine ten things for Manipur in the next six months whenever will change I was expecting something of that sort that didn't happen very sad very sad now one of the biggest strategic error that the opposition did for was to walk away they walked out of in right in between prime minister Narendra modi's speech that gave prime minister Narendra Modi a a free house he could speak it was another monkey bar for him because there was nobody to oppose there was nobody to contest there was nobody to stop him there was nobody to ask him questions so I don't know what the opposition was thinking I don't know what the strategy was if at all there was one of just walking out and allowing the prime minister to address the country the way he wanted it to be so that was one more very important factor in yesterday's speech before I end let me talk about Rahul Gandhi I think Rahul Gandhi blew the biggest chance the biggest opportunity of his life Rahul Gandhi blew the biggest opportunities of his life you see a lot of WhatsApp messages and all where they say Rahul Gandhi's speech got more viewership than modi's speech and you know so viewership doesn't mean that people have accepted it I think that particular platform that Rahul Gandhi got was once in a lifetime platform the entire country was trying to watch Rahul Gandhi and trying to say what he has to Rahul Gandhi should have prepared himself Rahul Gandhi the previous night should have sat with people like raghuram Raj and people like pichidambaram people like Manu singhwi people who understands law people who understands economics people who are are are are are are working in in Social sectors you should have sat with them come to the parliament with a plan and he should have made one of the best speeches of his life in that platform he and congress's fortunes would have changed I thought he came absolutely unprepared I thought he thought his inertia will take him but that didn't that platform I don't think he is going to get ever again with this kind of people looking forward to hearing from him people who are for him and people who are not for him to who are looking forward from for hearing from him which I think he blew he blew that chance till I see you next time that is uh tomorrow at 10 pm namaskar [Music]
